Here we go....I think this is my favorite episode already, because we are in the deep Adirondacks, we see lots of big lakes, and we do the deep historic dive at Great Camp Sagamore. These magnificent wilderness camps were built in the 19th Century by the industrial titans of America. Many survive, and this is one of the most famous ones. Open to the public, and operated by a non-profit. If the name Vanderbilt rings a bell with you...well it should. The same family that built the ginormous "Breakers" in Newport Rhode Island, lived in the middle of nowhere in New York's Adirondack Mountains....in rough splendor. Shot in stupendously sharp 4k. Really, try to find a big 4k screen somewhere sometime, otherwise you miss the real lifelike glory of this. June 2019
