I finally figured out thru all this information why I'm so against Christianity. In the story of Adam and eve and the serpent offers ultimate knowledge and it is viewed as a negative thing. To accept the serpents knowledge is to go against God. Sounds like the church was trying to control people and not let them reach their full potential. Amazing video.

I am also against Christianity as an institution, which killed the Goddess. Under what circumstances could anyone deny that all new life passes through a vagina? The Bible says women came from a man's rib, but we all have belly buttons from our time inside our mother's womb (a physical marker of reality). Christianity is oppressive or, said another way, oppressive forces stole Christ's power for themselves. It's complicated. In some ways, Christianity improved conditions for women, in certain places and times, but we have forgotten the times when the Goddess ruled because in those times there was no written language. I'm sure Jesus was beautiful, but I don't need him to be my gatekeeper to the divine.
