Adjusting RPM, AVR to achieve the proper voltage and Hz on a generator

You can also bend the tab the governor spring is attached to forward or backward to adjust the RPM’s. I prefer moving the spring, but either way works

Wish you were showing what you were adjusting. You mentioned characters you mentioned numbers I have no idea what you’re doing on the other side of the generator. I measured mine today and it was 61 1/2 Hz. I’m guessing that’s acceptable Thanks for the video.

I’ll be posting the rebuild of this gen in a few days.. The engine was blown when I received this generator from lack of oil and the PO never checked the oil. 😮

I may have missed something? this should be checked and adjusted under a load ie the generator should be powering a typical load. yours doesn't appear to be connected to anything and the values will change when it is properly loaded. I know it has a governor still yet values will change.

John, I just ordered a 28kw/20kw portable generator. After ordering I discovered it is a 50Hz machine. Can I adjust frequency output like you did to yours? My Amazon is not cancelable. Thanks

Bro, 3700 RPMs would’ve been fine. I’ve seen some gens go as high as 3800 no load

Shouldn't you do this under at least partial load. Bet your dropping hz under load. The avr should handle the voltage.
