Speaking of haki: I know that they have great Armament and Observation. But whether or not the have CoC/ACoC is irrelevant as I think that they're not as good as using it as the Yonko themselves. We know for a fact that CoC is tied to their actual will as leaders/conquerors. And I doubt that being the WG's lapdogs allow them to fully utilize it, unlike Katakuri who's secretly opposed to Big Mom or Zoro who Luffy allows free will. The Admirals seem to be more akin to King who literally submits to Kaido's will. This is why I think that the Admirals would rather master their own Devil Fruits instead.

I love how power has almost become a mute point at the upper echelon, of course we’re finding out with an admiral whose used to taking on powerhouses. I don’t believe Kizaru isn’t using haki in the same way I imagine everything Luffy is doing is with haki; I believe they are actually just so poweful that now it’s come to the point where it’s just a matter of skill and strategy, at least for Kizaru! It’s another form of power for Oda to thought experiment and dismantle with the principle of joy and faith as King in the form of Luffy and gear 5th. It’s showing new layers, that the game is still bigger and will always be bigger until Luffy sits atop the throne of his world and it’s seas!

I think there should be asterisk beside this thought. Even though luffy did put the beaters on lucci, luffy is pretty much as his end game he used his awakening to do so. Zoro is fighting at his base against awakened lucci, we know zoro still has more power ups incoming or he’s not using them if he has them.

@adamheath4599 this is true, though I'm just not sure what more Oda could pull out for him. He has impressive haki, sure, but he is still entirely human (as far as we know), which would imply no species based power gains. He also has no devil fruit; by nature, DFs are shrouded in mystery and our knowledge on them develops alongside that of the One Piece world. If Zoro had one, it wouldn't be far-fetched for Oda let him grow his powers that way... but I doubt Zoro would ever agree to borrowing a power that was not his own, even if he had the chance to eat one. The only thing remaining would be haki, but he already has comqueror's... so, unless he develops some very unique abilities, no power system he has access to currently has space for Zoro to grow much further. :/

My thoughts & opinions of the chapter: 1. It's no surprise that the flames on Zoro's sword confirms that we will see "the King of Hell" again very soon. However, I now wonder if Oda will take the chance to reveal some more clues on the Grim Reaper that tried to hurt him back in Wano! 2. Idk what Saturn will really do in the very next chapter, but I think that it will not be good for Luffy & the others even if they do have the upper hand with Kizaru! 3. When Lucci referred to Zoro as the "Number 2 of an Emperor's crew", I do wonder what really inspired him to change his view on Luffy.

Honestly, I do not think we are going to get any answer to Luffy vs Borsalino in Egghead. Neither of them is prioritizing the fight with everything else going on and Luffy took a direct attack just to defend Vegapunk. Also, I do not think Zoro's pride is hurt. Going back to Dressrosa, he straight up told Pica the same thing he told Lucci. Zoro basically acknowledges that he is Luffy's second at this point, and he has done so since Thriller Bark.

I feel like Zoro just knows that unless there’s a swordsman present he must overcome for his dream, he will do whatever it takes for the straw hats to be successful. So Luffy will take on the big bad because he must overcome all who stand in the way of his Pirate King mantle, and Zoro will literally help jump whoever to support Luffy meeting that goal! It’s only when another bad that could be a problem shows up that Zoro says, okay you’ll have to get through me because Luffy already has enough on his plate. You can see this in Wano where Zoro was part of the crew that jumped Kaido initially, and even after King fell Zoro had to be incapacitated, otherwise I’m sure bro woulda went up to fight again with Luffy. Zoro does whatever it takes for his crew, that’s why he’s first mate. Luffy is the will of the crew and does whatever it takes. Zoro’s the first bent knee, and it’s such a wonderful thing to watch. Testing this, I’m actually interested to see about if once we meet with Shanks how the Davy back pairings might go down! I think if Zoro respects Shanks swordplay, it may actually be his battle to match there!! And Luffy may take out Ben Beck!! Not because the power has flipped or to make a point about who’s stronger, but simply because Shanks can be viewed as a swordsman! And thus he actually stands in Zoro’s way for his dream. Luffy is the captain of the worlds greatest swordsman in Zoro no matter if people want to say Luffy didn’t take on Shanks if that’s how it goes down, so Luffy still gets the credit of this victory I believe. And it would go a far way in showing the true dynamic relationship that the straw hats have in their lives that’s bigger than simply just powerscaling and strategy. It’s about dreams and friendship and staying true to both! Why didn’t Luffy take on the big bad of Mihawk at Baratie ? It wasn’t his battle, and while Luffy welcomes and receives Zoro’s help, Zoro’s honor as a swordsman requires a duel, and Luffy respects that. Zoro does too when Luffy asks for it.

It also explains why she could sneak into Mariejoa by aging herself. The bigger question is: why should Kuma ask Vegapunk to create this clone, that he would raise as a child

I have a feeling Kizaru is holding back to test Luffy and see what his habits/weaknesses are now. It is a great chance for Luffy to upgrade his Observation Haki against someone who should be one of the fastest beings on the planet, plus fighting a light man might mean going temporarily blind or fight a ton of clones so you need more observation haki to see where Kizaru really is. Btw on a side note. E=MC^2 Kizaru said something about increased Speed which would equal more Energy in Einsteins equation, in an arc with Vegapunk(One Piece's Einstein). But can he manipulate his Mass by absorbing light or through Haki? (Odd theory) Kizaru has Rocks D Xebec's old devil fruit, and Xebec wielded it was more ruthlessly as a sort of "False JoyBoy" or "False Sun King". I just don't believe that Kaido, Big Mom, and White Beard would allow Teach to eat the Dark Dark fruit if they knew its power from their time with the Rocks Pirates. Especially White Beard, if he heard Teach ate it I would imagine he'd go hunt down the man who killed one of his commanders for his former captains devil fruit.

I like that luffy seem to be rubbing off on kizaru already as kizaru went from being upset that he had to hurt sentomaru(and vegapunk) to back to his trolling ways as soon as luffy grabbed him. Sooner or later kizaru is gonna get frustrated that luffy is prolonging the mission and fight him head on. For kizaru's character arc either he needs to either quit the marines to seek a profession that he always wanted to do but felt he couldnt or he needs to get killed by saturn by refusing orders due to him acting out his true desires. If Bonney is a child that raises so many questions such as does her df stop her from aging like sugar? Can she change her own age indefinitely while on others its limited? Is she even human? Maybe her special race plays a role in it since she should be a similar age to robin if not older based on that panel of her as a kid with with a skinner kuma in chapter 1063, im on copium thinking thats shes 29 y.o. and that old characters such as vegapunk,stella,kizaru(the oldest admiral) treat bonney like a child

This chapter in particular had me thinking back to Franky's time skip arc at Vegapunk's birthplace, which is kind of fitting, since you also said that this arc parallels Sabaody. Back then Franky destroyed one of the labs with the pirate (skull) switch. If the situation on Egghead looks dire, I can totally see Vegapunk using a similar switch (which surely exists) here to obliterate the island (or at least his lab with the power source) and the enemies with it. After all we've been assuming for a while now that Stella and possibly some more of the Satellites will perish. Oda has now brought Lilith to a position where she could escape with the Straw Hats, York could still be captured by either the government or Blackbeard's Crew and Stella, Atlas and Edison could destroy Egghead as soon as the Straw Hats and Bonney have escaped with help of Kuma or the giant robot.

I think the Elder is there to show us that there are hidden powers that have not been accounted for until now. And it makes sense because now that Luffy defeated Kaido, what you normally see in fiction in general is: always harder, better, faster, stronger. And Kaido could probably best the admirals on a 1v1 fight. It could go something like this: Luffy is having a hard time but steadily beating the admiral and then finally Mr. Saturn shows us the ultimate level of power that we need to achieve in order to fight the World Gov.

About Zoro: he might still be recovering from Wano. He and Luffy have always healed quickly, especially Luffy, but Zoro built up a lot of damage on top of using that medicine that makes it worse later. We still don’t know what happened with that death figure. He could also just not be going all out at all. He sent an attack that Big Mom told Kaido to dodge. Something is up. I don’t think there’s a power difference or a large one at all just yet.

On your point about Zoro, I know he was injured when Arlong beat him but Arlong Park had a speech from Luffy that touched on how Luffy isn't a swordsman, a chef, a navigator, or any other vital role on the ship, Luffy himself calls himself out, and when Arlong asks what Luffy does for the crew he says that he can beat Arlong for them. That I think exemplifies how Luffy views being the Captain, it means being the strongest one that everyone can rely on. I think Zoro knows this too, but he takes being the second strongest seriously and still wants to be the greatest swordsman to support Luffy, because who better to be the first mate of the Pirate King than the World's Greatest Swordsman? I also don't think Zoro could have beat Crocodil;e or Eneru unless he got sea stone coating for his swords, but otherwise I agree that an uninjured Zoro probably could have beaten a lot of non-Logia enemies pre-rimeskip and most of Luffy's enemies post-timeskip. However Luffy has a bodily advantage of taking less damage and bouncing back quicker than Zoro due to his devil fruit, and I'm not too sure if Zoro could have beaten Doflamingo or Kaido. In a fight against Doflamingo I'd bet on Zoro, and I don't think Kaido is that much stronger than current/Egghead Zoro.

The next thing that makes sense to me is for Saturn being forced to reveal himself. Now that the seraphim are back on the Strawhats side, Saturn might have a conflict of interest. He may have to outweigh Vegapunk over himself.

I don't think people realize kizaru has a limitation, while he's going light speed his body can't be made of mass, otherwise he could seriously mess up the world. It's like when you hit the earth with a sand grain going at the speed of light. He has to switch his body back to mass just before he hits them. It's kinda like Obito sharingan.

The best way to make sense of Bonnie for me is that Kuma sacrificed his for his daughter. Going with the theme of the "new generation". He worked with Vega Punk so his family would not be hurt again. The twist comes when Bonnie is the Master override for all pacifestas.

Hello brother, you need to read my comment. I read A crazy & strange theory in one of Kurdish anime groups. I don’t know if anyone has talked about it before. This is a theory that says that Kizaru is the big event in Egg Head & he is going to join the Straw Hats crew. So what is a bigger event than that that could happen in it? The Straw Hats Pirates are parallel to The Blackbeard Pirates, which were joined by an admiral. Is it possible for the same thing to happen with the Straw Hats Pirates?? For me Firstly, it is completely illogical because Kizaru is super strong & it is unthinkable for someone to join the crew who is stronger than Zoro & Sanji. Secondly, I expect Lilith or Bonney to join the crew & the death of Vegapunk, who will sacrifice himself for Bonney. Imagine Bonney make Kizaru younger & He joins the crew 🤯🔥

So Joyboy, you're not a powerscaler, that's fine. But lasers have been known in series, to penetrate through almost anything they've struck as lasers. There was even a panel where a Seraphim, which to our knowledge is the most durable characters in series (due to possessing King's DNA which he stated is more durable than Kaido's body) and they needed to evade lasers if they did not possess whatever substance or tech allowed them to be laser proof. Due to King being more durable than Kaido. Kizaru should be able to penetrate Kaido's scales with lasers (not necessarily hit him), though, unless Kaido does what he usually does and tries to tank attacks.

The biggest issue still remains and that’s the admirals don’t have conquerors. Without that they have no hope to beat any of the yonko outside of buggy

How are folks still confused about Bonneys age? Quit looking too deep, its like Yamato all over agaim. Her age has already been stated the people referring to her as a child probably met her as a child and are all old men, they simply still see her as that little girl. She cant be a child or as young as some think whem Kuma has been a cyborg for years meaning he probably wasnt making babies as a cyborg or being that father she remembers him as.

I'm happy that Kizaru has been playing things smart and sticking to his mission but I think a direct confrontation with Luffy is inevitable at this point and Kizaru will probably realize that soon. I think Kizaru is going to start showing sides of himself that we haven't seen before soon.
