I think that Lulusia was the original target of the attack, but Sabo was icing on the cake. This explains why they are surprised when Sabo was reported to be on Lulusia and they comment on how unlucky he is, I think this was because they were already moving (an Ancient weapon maybe) into position to destroy the country. It sounds to me that the elders were issuing a silence order to the navy communication team as they are keeping the attack (Ancient weapon?) secrets. Also while this is stronger than a buster call, the BC is a show of military might that can be reasonably explained to the world and looks good for the navy. but this attack is something that would cause way to much disruption in the world and civil unrest as it would only create fear in the normal populace.

My head cannon This chapter finally put a reason in my head for Garp staying with the WG. Even though he likely was top 3 on the planet Individually for a long time, and the other 2 would have sided with him if it came down to it,Roger and WB. Roger got sick and WB wasn’t interested Something out of his control that can wreak havoc on the world and he can’t punch his way out of it. WG literally has something over his head and anybody he cares about. For sure whatever Garp served for, he is too informed to not know what the WG is really yet he still stayed. in a year filled with amazing chapters, this one yet again may have trumped the last one and is my favorite chapter so far this year! i especially love it because finally Oda has slowed down a little bit, and let us enjoy the moment. from the SHs bantering on the Sunny, everyone shitting on Zoro for being a heartless prick, listening to Luffy's dream, discussing the news... i don't know if you remember how long has we been craving for this, long and meaningful scenes of the SHs just talking on the Sunny, this is why i love OP! and then we move to the grand event and thankfully Oda also didnt rush it, he built up to the disaster perfectly with the Gorosei's reaction when they learn where Sabo is, as if they already know what is Imu about to do... then we see the state of the country which has been built and sprinkled through out hundred through out hundreds of chapters. from Ace's cover story a long long time ago that occurred here, the Revolutionaries showing up to spark the rebellion, the King and Princess traveling to the Reverie and was saved by Koby. Oda put in the effort to world build this random kingdom, only to commit the most savaged act he ever done, GENOCIDE! we were hoping for this during Wano, Kaidou murdering people, Onigashima falling on top the Capital... Oda held back then, only to shock the world with this. He looked us in the eyes and asked: "Is this what you wanted?"

Imu held pictures of Shirahoshi and Vivi at the reverie, if Shirahoshi is an/a catalyst for an ancient weapon, then Vivi might be as well. Alabasta is a country that has something to do with ancient weapons although it was Pluton that was mentioned, they might as well be hosting the ancient weapon Uranus and that’s why Imu killed Cobra and kidnapped Vivi to use her to access the ancient weapon.

From the very chapter 1 of the series, I have been wondering what is it that child Luffy's proving to Shanks when he was on the figurehead of the Red Force then stabbing himself. I think there's a missing panel before that and that is when he revealed his dream to Shanks. Now that we have more context on what is it about, these are the requirements for Luffy's dream: - being the Pirate King is needed (finding the treasure that gives wealth, fame, power) - the same words was heard from Roger by Shanks - something outlandish that people straight up don't believe it or find it funny - something that child Luffy will make himself stab his eye if challenged With all these in consideration, Luffy's dream having a worldwide party can be a possibility but I don't think it's as easy as that. For now, what we know is that these are the people who knows Luffy's dream: - Shanks - Ace and Sabo - all current Straw Hats - possibly Caribou Chapter 585 first revealed that Luffy's dream is not just simply to be the Pirate King. The three brothers all stated their dreams before cutting off what Luffy said. Sabo's Dream is to SEE the world and write books of things he finds. Ace's Dream is to beat every person in the way and EARN glory. If you look at their dreams, these are the things people want when they become a pirate. When our world went into the golden age of piracy, these are things people sought for, DISCOVERY and GLORY (more than just mere infamy). And the most sought for is CONQUERING/COLONIZATION (wealth, fame, power). This is basically what the World Government has already achieved. Now if we will look into Luffy, what is it that gives him the drive to sail the oceans regardless of what the current condition of world politics is or of the existence of a certain treasure? Luffy's dream is ADVENTURE. The last and forgotten reason why people sail. And a grandscale party is not an adventure but a celebration after one. Sailing the seas on your own or with friends with no regards of anyone who come's on the way and enjoying the new things you might found is an ADVENTURE, but at the same time the combination of what Ace's and Sabo's dream, DISCOVERY and GLORY, and also coincides with the Straw Hat's dreams. If you watch Wisecrack's video on "The Philosophy of One Piece", great video by the way, they discussed there that being on the ship is basically what having FREEDOM is. And Luffy's interpretation of Pirate King is not a Conqueror but the FREEST of them all. He wants to have the FREEST ADVENTURE. With all these things taken into consideration, I think Luffy's dream is TO GO ON AN ADVENTURE OUT OF THIS WORLD (literally). He's dream is to be an ASTRONAUT, literally the FREEST from the bounds of this world.

Everyone who wonders how Sabo could have ever survived should look at his shadow. It appears that whatever is blowing up the island is to his side while it comes from above everyone else which makes me think he is on a ship near the island, but not on the island. On that note I hightly believe Uranus (If that is indeed what was used here) is a weapon that absorbs energy from the sun and then unleashes it from the sky. If that is the case it could explain why the WG does not use it more often. It might take years or even decades for it to absorb enough energy to eradicate an entire island so they only use it when absolutely necessary to wipe something out fast. Many points out they didn't used it Ohara. Simple: Ohara was not a threat that required to be wiped out in seconds unlike here where Sabo is just about to tell everyone about Im's existance.

If we're to assume that Bonney engaged the admirals as well in an effort to help save Kuma and something happened to her, then the World Goverment fully assumed she died. I say this because there's a good chance that she also saw Im as she was sneaking around like Sabo. BUT. Oda purposefully shows us her bounty, and it hasn't been raised all that much from the 140million that it was PRE-Timeskip. So the jump to 320 million seems pretty natural to have happened over the 2 years we didn't see her as we have a very similar jump with Bege. So her actually being alive could be a very unexpected element that the Gorosei and Im were not accounting for.

Couple of points: 1. I don't think Sabo died. I read a comment on reddit by u/animeandsports that made the comparison between Sabo's panel and Seki's panel when the beam(?) lands down. They stated that Sabo was looking over his shoulder while the citizens/Seki were looking above. Also, when looking back Sabo's shadow was drawn as if he wasn't on Lulusia, but near it. 2. On Morj's stream someone mentioned Im having a Map Map fruit since we see him crossing out Lulusia on a map before it was eliminated. We know Nami's dream is draw an accurate map of the world. Also, we know the number 16 is often used to refer the celestials (e.g. Doffy's 16 holy bullets, there were 16 beams in the last panel, etc). Nami's first bounty was 16m berries. Could there be something more there?

Theory: Bonnie may have been introduced for the purpose of bringing the news of Sabo. Also with her fruit she could pull Luffy to his prime age and show him his maxed potential. Okay, but... unless I'm missing something, it's actually the Straw Hats that would have more news that she needs. She missed the entirety of Wano. The only things I could imagine she could tell them of relevance are: 1) Sabo was trying to save Kuma 2) Charloss got knocked out AGAIN 3) Imu exists And if she knew that last one, there should at least be a new Pacifista following her to ensure she dies, so if that doesn't happen by the next chapter or two at least, I dunno, man...

I absolutely love how the Strawhats came to meet Bonney.. I have been waiting for this since Bonney read the news about Doffy and expressed sympathy for Law and Luffy! Cannot wait to see her jaw drop at learning Luffy, Law and Kid defeated two Yonko. Cannot wait to get to learn more about her as a character. Cannot wait for her to learn she is right now on a new Yonko ship. I simply cannot wait!!! It was time for this Supernova meeting! Bonney must have some respect for Luffy. I somehow got the weird impression that this "weapon" is just Imu himself, his ability. Because there was many shots of his eyes and it would explain why he is still in power. We knew Oda was upping the ante but god damn he keeps going beyond. We showed the force of the Yonko (Cross Guild, Shanks & Blackbeard), the Marines (SSG) and now the World Government themselves. The conversation with Zoro was good but it was perhaps a bad example to use Luffy's explanation about not going after Ace given how Ace died because of it. But we got some nice Alabasta callback, and we are bringing Vivi to the minds of the crew. Brook mentioning Alabasta is interesting too, like we're nudging towards learning more about the state of the world when Brook was alive. Luffy's dream is important, the reaction of Robin and Jinbe seem the most important to me, since they're more aware of the scale of it. It annoys me however that Caribou knows and we don't, Caribou makes it on the ship but Yamato and Carrot do not?? I mean, Carrot could still be on there but it's 99.999999% unlikely given how several days have passed, I will still hope because if they let Carrot's end be how it was - especially after course correcting Yamato - would be a huge disservice. Robin keeping tight lipped on stuff does feel like it will come back. I think the WG could have the last Poneglyph, it makes the most sense if they want to keep pirates from finding Laugh Tale - but also not knowing where it is themselves so they can't nuke it. I mean, we all knew that Sabo didn't do it, so it was quick vindication, but yes the nuking, that was a 'well shit' moment. Imu literally did a genocide just to keep their identity from the Revolutionaries. It's definitely an object at least since people of Lulusia noticed it, but as to what there are some theories; I thought it was a Sky Island fitted with a weapon, which could also be where Vegapunk has been stationed, it could also be the Sky Island Birka which Enel allegedly destroyed but instead imitated the devastation it could cause in Skypeia, there learning that 'fear is the kami'. Fan theories also suggest that it's Uranus which'd make sense given its devastation, or the floating island Bege got sucked into early in the New World. What makes me curious though is how long Im has had this weapon, because this could be how God Valley got wiped out but at the same time why even bother with Buster Calls if you have it? Ohara could've been wiped out like this if they wanted them silenced. There has to be fallout too, the Revolutionary Army would know that someone is on the empty throne regardless but what about the Marines? This may've been a move Akainu could justify but what about the likes of Fujitora and Smoker? People wouldn't just forget that Lulusia existed and had a seat on the Reverie, especially if they do this for all the kingdoms that rebelled. I'm still hoping for the marines to turn on the WG at some point but this would definitely be a good enough catalyst. Whatever it is, there can now be a theory that they'll try to wipe out Laugh Tale this way too, which would be a huge and pivotal moment in itself. Imagine making it to the final island and the crew just barely escaping before it got nuked. I think Sabo is alive still, but he's gonna be a lot more careful not to risk innocent lives, and Vivi is safe. Vivi seems to be considered the 'light' maybe because she's able to reach the people. Bonney though! I'm excited for this, because Bonney was at Marejois, she could give the crew the answers Sabo was stopped from giving, she's also a mysterious character too. Being stuck in a reverse Eddy (so it's like a whirlpool going upwards) could also be Sabo-related too, his fruit would provide the heat to shoot pressure upwards. As for the island we're in, it could be Elbaf, Kaido's favored winter island, or the Sorbet Kingdom. However I think the weather is due to the nuking, so maybe it'll be damaged by the fallout of that, which is why Bonney got stuck and stranded too. But I am all for seeing more Bonney, if the weapon's a sky island that's how Urouge would return to play - but it does feel like he is done with piracy. We could be setting forth into the next arc, but I also feel like there might be just a little bit more left in the threat building, Weevil hasn't shown up yet after all, dunno what happened to Moria either, but still we've had bangers every week so far, Oda's reaching his final form and we ain't ready for it.

Could Pluton have been made to counter Uranus? Because if we did in fact see Uranus, and Pluton is a ship that can destroy an island, and the Ancient Kingdom had them both then I cannot see them losing. But if the WG had Uranus (maybe they got it from the people that came from the moon) and the AK made Pluton to counter it (since what Imu used looks like it’s an island sized “machine”) and they made it a ship because that’s what they had and maybe the canon of the ship can fire things to reach the sky then I can see a more even fight that could go either way. Or, the AK got the Uranus from the sky people and kept it there, but since the WG maybe had dragons they maybe flew up there and took control of it, then Pluton was built so it could deal with it because I do not see anything or anyone else being able to deal with a weapon like this.

I think Luffy's dream is to go to the moon. It feels like a juvenile dream that Luffy would've as a kid, listening to Ace's and Sabo's dreams, and I feel like it also fits with everyone's reactions and responses, notably Usopp's who is saying: ''Since it's impossible''. This would also mean it's Rogers dream, and I feel like it makes sense as well, justifying Whitebeard's and Oden's reactions. It all depends on the nature of the attack. We have to remember that no matter how powerful an attack is, if its not either: 1) Infused with Haki, 2) Infused with Seastone Energy, 3) A specific natural weakness of Fire, or 4) A unique case like Blackbeard's ability that can nullify all devil fruits, then technically, those beams shouldn't do any damage to Sabo. The actual threat then would be having no ground/ships to stand on, and falling into the sea, but even then its possible he can fly like in Stampede. The problem I see with Lulusia kindom being erased from history in order to send a message to Dragon is: why didn’t they send a buster call instead? This would serve as an example to other revolting countries as well, but if they make it so that Lulusia kingdom has never existed, then nobody would know that they revolted in the first place and just continue with their revolutions (unless they are planning to erase each and every country that revolted, which would only make sense if all hope is gone that the revolution could be suppressed, because by annihilating those countries they also won’t get their heavenly tribute anymore) And more importantly, the Gorosei were talking about a great cleansing even before the revolutionaries attacked Mary Geoise and all those countries started rebelling, which suggests they were at least planning to destroy some island even back then.

I think the difference in this case is they don't want anyone to know the reason behind it. Sabo was about to reveal the Empty Throne isn't so empty. So it would be counterproductive to say "We wiped them out because they found out a secret about the Empty Throne." In the case of Buster Calls, the reasons behind them may not be widely known, but at least some people usually know why, even if that's limited to the people directly involved. For example, there are people who know why Robin's home was destroyed, and why Enies Lobby got bombed. But in this case there would potentially be no survivors who knew anything. Just the people who witnessed the order being given. The message would still be sent to Dragon, however: he was talking to Sabo when the island vanished, obviously he'd figure out the government was involved, those are the only people who would be desperate to silence him.

As for what the power was, I was reluctant to believe that it was Uranus, but I don't see it happening any other way. This way would be the best way to introduce another ancient weapon. That power is too broken for it to be a DF. It also adds up with the fact that Uranus is on the moon. It extends to the point where we can speculate that I'm sama is also from the moon. I can't remember which tale it was, but it was a story about how an alien came to Japan in the Edo period that was a girl. And there were 5 advisors that sided with her.
