I was a parachute rigger and we us to made our own quick release "Rigger Belt" from an already non-serviceable T-10 parachute pack tray. Use the waistband - 42 inches of type VIII nylon webbing with a strength of 4k lbs from one side, and Use the metal adjuster (buckle), Cadmium plated forged steel alloy, strength 1k lbs from the other side. Sew the buckle to the cut end of the waistband. A rigger sewing machine is best. you would run the tongue of the belt through and then back the same way allowing a tug to quick release, same as when in operation on a parachute. Of course that was back in the mid 80s to mid 90s when I had a 32" waist. haha

DANG your just pushing through ALLLLLLLLLLL DA SCHOOOOOOLLLLSSS ... lol, I wish I could do stuff like this in the Guard, but unfortunately chances are 0. Sometimes I wish I was active.

If you get into a rigger unit then you can do all the same schools he’s in (for officers). I got slotted into a rigger company and have to do them.

I’ve got to go to ADMOC/airborne for a rigger company I got slotted into. I was in OCS a few classes behind you and was wondering if I could hit you up with a few questions about ADMOC etc

Can riggers go pathfinder?
@storbokki3715 жыл бұрын
might be possible from the recruiter, but I would more expect they would need Jumpmasters (requires experience) sense they are required to stay on jump status. But then again, if they are jumping, the unit might require a pathfinder on the DZ already when they arrive. Mainly to inspect the DZ, pop smoke, and communicate wind speed, etc. to the Jumpmaster. Get your hands on a rigger manual and GMPI manual and be proactive about getting training, and be sure they know you know your stuff. Also NCO schools and anything else you can think of. Volunteer for deployments too. Maybe you can even get humanitarian work packing blankets and food to disaster areas, and some foreign wings.
