Ok as a person who got married in Jordan the whole set up leading to their katb al kitab was sus. First of all, before getting married in shariah court you need a lot of documents. One of them being blood test for thalassemia that takes 24h hours to get results. And on top of that you need to visit the main shariah court to get a document that approves your wali (legal guardian) to be the sheikh (aka the judge at the sharia court) in case your own wali is not muslim. The paperwork takes time, even with wasta ( connections). So I'm not convinced she arrived and the very same day they had katb al kitab.

A divorced/widow woman no longer needs wali. Wali is just for a woman’s first marriage. Tiger lily has children and is divorced meaning she doesn’t need a wali for her marriage to Adnan. But she definitely is missing a lot of other things. Knowing TLC what was filmed was probably staged for TV and not the real process of their nikkah.

All reality tv is allegedly heavily scripted with “real” moments just sprinkled in. I say “real” because those are like the blow out fights that happen BC the producers encourage the cast to drink heavily and purposely put people in close proximity with people they don’t get along with. Or they make someone in a relationship spend time with an ex, encourage them to drink, film it, expose it to their partner, and film them crying. The scenarios, people, events, everything is scripted to push the story & the cast to say/do what the producers want.

Tigerlily is not Muslim so she does not technically have a wali because her male family members are not Muslim. According to the hanafi school of thought she wouldn't need one anyway because she's been married before.
