Adobe Audition CC 2022: How To Use Multitrack Mixer
This tutorial will show you how to use the Mixer in Adobe Audition CC 2022 which is another way to view and manage a Multitrack session and to make it easier to adjust the volume/gain of tracks and add automation. The Multitrack Mixer does not show audio clips but does show all of the tracks as channels similar to a hardware mixer.
Keyboard Shortcuts:
Multitrack View: 0 (zero)
Waveform View: 9
Show Mixer View: Option or Alt + 2

How To Use the Multitrack Mixer:
1. Open a Multitrack Session
2. Click on ‘Mixer’ at the top of the Multitrack or click on Option/Alt + 2(Click on Window in the top menu and select Mixer if not visible)
3. Track Names are at the bottom in Mixer View (click to change)
4. Master Track is at the far right of Mixer
5. Press Spacebar to preview the audio
6. Drag sliders up and down to adjust volume/gain
7. Click ’S’ to solo a track
8. Doubleclick on the slider ‘knob’ to reset to zero
9. Add Effects to Effect Rack
10. Click on Read or Write to add automation
11. Click on ‘Editor’ to return to Multitrack

Hey Mike, love your videos and your Domestika. I use the RodeCaster and I am trying to add it as a hardware mixer. I already have it attached as input and output but I want to connect the channels from the RodeCaster directly to the ones in the multitrack of Audition. The reason for that is that i want to record on Audition but be able to use the chanells during the recording and be able to adjust the volume directly. As an example you can find in this video kzbin.info/www/bejne/j2iymZesrr19bbs in minute 08:36 - 09:00 exactly what i mean in case i wasn't able to discribe it correctly. thanks for your help!

Have you seen this tutorial I made about the RodeCaster Pro and Audition as it should help you: kzbin.info/www/bejne/fYGaoHeBfNiVeKM You do not have to create a Template, but it should help you with how to set the Inputs for each channel. The trick is setting enabling Multichannel USB in the RodeCaster Pro Settings on the device. You will then select 'RodeCaster MultiChannel' in Audition Hardware Settings under Default Input.
