Awesome video. Thanks! Any way to color the black and white vector? I want it shades of cranberry.

I like the fact that you create symbols out of your watercolor examples. Going to try this instead of creating a brush...

Great tutorial and love the way that you chat through any little tweaks like with the glow size on the smaller wording and also explaining about the masks. I did purchase the pack but unfortunately they don't work in making the effect on my object because you cant change the colorisation. Back to trying to make a paint brush sweep I go!

Still not getting how you can change the color of the symbols before you spray them, so you have different layers of the watercolor effect in different colors???
@PixelMoshpit8 жыл бұрын
+Isabel Navarro You should make sure, before creating the brush or symbol, that you have the color of the brush or symbol set to a 50% grey (vaules in color picker: H=0, S=0, B-50,). Once their set to 50% grey when you drag and drop them into the corresponding panel and create the symbol or brush, you need to set the "Colorization" method setting to "Hue Shift". This will allow you to pick any color with the newly created brush and it paint with that color. (Symbol sprayer colors through it's subtool for staining)
@myBrownpuppy7 жыл бұрын
So do I still click grey scale when rasterizing it? When I leave it at grey scale, while Image trace, what do i do then? Leave it at Black and White mode? So confused lol Or is it after I am done image tracing it, and I drag it in my stamp tool, and double click it and edit the stamp do i mess with the 50% grey?
@kayleeschneiderhan16198 жыл бұрын
Thanks for the vid! However... can you show us how to do this same exact thing, but with colors??

+Maria Torres I've got the same issue. When I save as a PDF, the watercolor texture doesn't show up. What's going on?
@vanessagleason65148 жыл бұрын
+Maria Torres Figured something out! Idk if it is the best way but if you raster your watercolor layer, then live trace it, it shows up correctly in a PDF. This tutorial it was very helpful!
@PixelMoshpit8 жыл бұрын
If the watercolor is vector than you can "expand" the objects in question but if you keep the watercolor graphic as a raster you'll want to "flatten transparency" before export.

+lumik Well the only thing that you need to know regarding your hardware is if it meets the requirements for running the software, which you can find on adobe's site or a quick google search. If it does meet, you need to install the most recent update to the software (you'll find that on adobe's site as well). Have to tried install and reinstalling as well? (Make sure to save and store separately, any templates, work-spaces or preferences you have have made)
