These missionaries loved the Lord and lived for the Lord. We too can magnify our Lord and spread the gospel in various ways. It is not office, it is earnestness; it is not position, it is grace which enables us to glorify God. God is glorified by our serving Him in our proper vacations.

What a couple! What sacrifice, perseverance and focus on their purpose! They are trophies of God's grace lining up with those in Hebrews 11's hall of faith. Their pioneer work in learning the language, staying in Burma amidst such suffering, opposition, humiliation, poor health and years of effort in translating the Bible for all of Burma is incredible! Long sea travels, loss of children, war, imprisonment, deaf ears of authorities turning down desperate pleas from Ann- nothing stopped them from fulfilling God's purpose and mission. Adoniram Judson's persistent labor after Ann's and baby Maria's death is touching n challenging.Though it took years to see the fruit of their labor eternity will tell the magnitude of the impact! Lord Jesus, help me to live to fulfil Your purpose and mission - soon this life on earth will be over, to enter eternity!

"திருமதி ஆன் ஜட்சன் இறந்துவிட்டார்," என்று எழுதியிருந்த வார்த்தைகளை கேட்டபோது அடோனிராமுடன் சேர்ந்து நானும் அழுதேன், மிஷினரி ஆன் ஜட்சன் என்னை மிகவும் பாதித்துவிட்டார். குழந்தை மரியா ஜட்சன் மரணம் மேலும் உடைத்துவிட்டது. முதல் பர்மீய வேதாகமதின் ஒவ்வொரு எழுத்துக்கு பின் எவ்வளவு வலிகள் எவ்வளவு வேதனைகள் எவ்வளவு சோகம். “மிகக் கடினமாக இறக்கின்றவர்கள் மிகச் சிலர்” என்ற வார்த்தைகள் மிஷினரி அடோனிராம் & ஆன் ஜட்சன் வாழ்க்கையிலிருந்து அதிகமாக பேசுகிறது. மிஷினரிகளின் வாழ்க்கையிலிருந்து எங்களோடு பகிர்ந்த பாரம் மிகுந்த வார்த்தைகளுக்கு நன்றி.

The toils of devoted missionaries shame us if we sit still in indolence. Shrinking from trial is the temptation of those who are at ease in Zion: they would fain escape the cross and yet wear the crown; If the most precious are tried in the fire, are we to escape the crucible? If the diamond must be vexed upon the wheel, are we to be made perfect without suffering? Who has commanded the wind to cease from blowing because our bark is on the deep? Why and wherefore should we be treated better than our Lord? The firstborn felt the rod, and why not the younger brethren? It is a cowardly pride which would choose a downy pillow and a silken couch for a soldier of the cross. Wiser far is he who, being first resigned to the divine will, grows by the energy of grace to be pleased with it, and so learns to gather lilies at the cross foot, and, like Samson, to find honey in the lion.
