Another idea for Aaron's shirts is making them into a blanket. My grandma has done this each grandchild's high school shirts. Now we each get our own blanket

Oh I've seen people take their loved ones that clothes that passed away and make quilts out of their shirts or whatever clothing items the choose but it's usually shirts or jeans.. Great keepsake

Yes! Making shirts into a keepsake is so special. My grandma made a pillow case for me from one of my grandpa’s shirts and I love it. I think blankets and pillowcases are amazing because you can sleep with it and they are there with you. Especially if it’s a loved one who has passed away because then you have your guardian angel protecting you every night 🤍

It’s so crazy to see how much Lucas and Savannah have BLOOMED since you guys came into their lives. They look happier, healthier, and like they’ve genuinely found what “home” is. @@jessxox4612 Halie asked to step away and get some needed in-patient therapy due to depression. That young lady knew and was brave enough to speak up and speak her truth, and ask for help. She’s been getting and building the assistance and community she needs to thrive and learn to cope/manage the highs and lows of mental health. Crystal and Aaron said that Halie is due to be home next Friday. She’s a warrior!!

This is my second time watching this video. Love that Lucas and Savannah has been adopted into their forever family. It so emotional and you can see and feel the love that you all have for one another. It is amazing that these two kids who were strangers felt safe but love and acceptance as they settle into this amazing family. To watch them go from being shy and unsure to blossoming to happy and outgoing teens. Crystal never apologize for being emotional. It is an emotional day. A day of happiness, that these two will be forever your and Aaron's kids. It is also bittersweet because Halie wasn't there in person but knowing that she is taking care of herself and her well-being that her spirit was there with you all. You can tell that in previous videos that there is a piece of the puzzle missing and can't wait for Halie to come home and complete that puzzle. Congratulations to Lucas and Savannah and to your whole family. May God continue to watch over you and continue to bless you all.

I can't have been the only one that cried at this, it's so beautiful it's a real shame that Halie couldn't be there too, but it's amazing that at her age she admitted to needing help and is off to become the best version of herself. I can’t be the only one who started to cry when the shirts were being handed out and the message was being said to Lucas and Savannah. The love your family has for one another is truly amazing and so special. Lucas and Savannah are so lucky and blessed to have been brought into such a wonderful family such as yours.

I have to disagree, as I've never seen a quilt with the same exact prints throughout.. unless they put borders in-between them all, ya know ??? But I think all the kids will want to keep those shirts for ever☺ && if they made a quilt, there is only 1 for all to share. Maybe Aaron could make a quilt with his own Father's Day shirts tho ??? 💝

I love that Savannah and Lucas fit right in with your family from the start. And seeing them grow more and more comfortable as months go by is priceless. ♡ Everything was a tearjerker then you have a shot of Alex sticking his head into the sink and a shot of him eating his cereal while Aaron and Crystal were having a moment - HE IS HILARIOUS. ♡ Congratulations to your entire family. ♡ Pettit family is ♡.

With the shirts you were talking about with the hand prints once you guys completely finish the family you can turn the shirts into a blanket! You could even add the shirts that you made for the adoption days to make it bigger.

Crystal and Aaron, I love your heart for the all of your children, the way each one has their own personality, likes and dislikes, and how you just love them where they are at. I also love that Halie was included, knowing she would be there in a heartbeat if she could. Thank you for giving sooooo much of yourselves to YOUR children!! Crystal, you don't need to try and not cry, it's expected that you will be emotional on a day such as this. Thank you for sharing this emotionally tender day with us. Lucas and Savannah, you have been a part of this family and my heart since the day you walked through the door, shutting the past behind you and becoming part of the Pettit family. Congratulation on being a legal Pettit today, and my sincerest hope is that you can now just look forward without worrying about what's behind you.
