My brother is a vet. The worst case he ever had to deal with was when a female dog, that was violated numerous times by her male owner whom she was removed from, was rushed in because she was suffering from sudden complications spurred from the previous surgery she had to fix the horrific damage she sustained under the care of her terrible owner. Worst part? she didn't survive, died in the midst of surgery and couldn't be brought back. She was a 3 year old German Shepherd. Being a vet isn't always cute little animals needing a yearly check up. Sometimes its a job where you learn how truly despicable your own species can be.

Why don’t I have a vet parents or friends so that I can play with these cute animals? Well, I am sure there were lots of tears too. Happiness and sadness all mixed into one job to serve these loyal friends.

Go to your local animal rescue site. I go once a week for a couple of hours, walk dogs, play with cats, keep them socialized. Great fun! I've resisted adopting any. I had 2 cats, one died this year and the other is SOOOO enjoying being an "only cat". 😊😂

A vet‘s work isn‘t all cuteness and happy, look at the sad parts, cases of cruel animal abuse, you have to put down = kill animals because they are ill or just not wanted, you can’t save them all. You have to deal with blood, injuries, disgusting illnesses.
