Incredible how high-level images are achieved with so little. Even more so with the simple way you explain it. A hug from Mexico!!

Thanks Pye. I would never have thought of doing a shoot in a parking garage, but then we don't have any around here with such architectural appealing designs or nicely painted either.

So good! The standing vs kneeing composition at 12:49 was such a fantastic example of things I need to be checking in my own work.

Great video. Made me super nervous, though, whenever Pye left his $6-7K rig in the ‘road’ to go get a light...

Great images, great thought process. Stressed me out leaving camera on parking lot floor and walking away with cars going by in background!!!
@jer30063 жыл бұрын
Loved all the tips with lighting and composition decisions. Hardly any of the scenes seemed appealing until I saw your resulting images. Thanks for opening my brain up a little further to the unusual. The knockout punch for me in your video was the kneeling vs standing camera position to affect the highlight position in the image. Dynamite tip! Thank you.

I loved how you showed your thought process and working through to create the image. Not being stuck on just natural light or having to always use flash but using the appropriate lighting for the situation is a great reminder. The video made the garage look fairly well lit I would presume it was not and you were using the high iso to get more ambient light? I have a request do you or are you planning on a video that helps with expressions and invoking the proper emotion for the scene. Glad you had an hour to kill .

That was really crazy, it was looking a high end photo shoot.

I'm blown away that security never asked you to leave, especially since that didn't seem like a run down garage. Seemed to happen almost all the time when I used to shoot in parking garages!

It is getting harder these days to photograph at many locations because of disrespectful people. I was in Houston with a photo permit and got harressed by security. But we were able to shoot.

I listening to the new age photo language "A-10 is @ 1/4" Dean Collins and Kodak and old school light ratio out the window. If you don't use the same gear you just have to trial and error. Where as old school we meter and we hit main fill kick (high lights) by ratio what value to what pined point
