Wonderful Interview of ADOX by Nico. Mirko has truly done a tremendous job in keeping analog products alive. We love his MCC FB Paper and the MCC developer. Keep up the good work!

Very interesting interview, especially about the Forte paper. I had no idea about all that. Also, it's such a pleasure to hear from a person so dedicated to serving the film market, and not just spouting marketing mumbo jumbo. I do like digital, but I like the film community so much more.

Thank you Nico, Again it is great to know what is happening to this market. The ADOX philosophy, I think is correct for the current market, and we all ned to support the companies, Ilford, Adox and others who have continued to supply us and develop new products in a much diminished market place. We as photographers , end users, have a responsibility to support the smaller enterprises, that no longer have the global market that they once had, but without them there will no longer be film photography as we know it today. I support these companies by deciding to purchase specific products, when I can, and paying a little more, again when I can afford it, so that these dedicated suppliers will still be around in 5, 10, or more years. Thanks for the Interview and keeping us informed.

Thank you for sharing this. I love the philosophy and the passion that drives them. I look forward to supporting them. Maybe one day they will have the available time, resources, and desire to provide a similar emulsion to a film like Fujifilm's discontinued Neopan ACROS 100. I know quite a few photographers besides me looking for an alternative to it.

I am an amateur photographer loving older analog gear and would love to understand ADOX’s products better. Their website just offers technical information about the films but I do not know what it really means. Who uses ISO 20 film and for what type of shooting? The question came up but was not answered very well. And if I could shoot their film where can I get it developed?

Us as consumer, we don't even realise the everyday fight of these companies since the early 2000's. Keep film alive!

Those two were replaced by MCC when the EU banned the intentional use of even slightest amounts of Cadmium. The quantities needed were actually below the natural background threshold but intentional was the killer terminus.
@drfaustens45045 жыл бұрын
@@ADOXPHOTO Thank you for your kind reply. I had no Idea. One brief question, can I use a cold light head on MCC papers?
@ADOXPHOTO5 жыл бұрын
As with any Multigrade Paper you need a "multigrade ready" lightsource. This means the spectrum has to be balanced and wide enough to use the substractive yellow and magenta filtering (leaving green and blue pass). Aristo labeled them "VC or V54" if I recall right. The old style D2 head is not fit. If you use a fixed grade head you can still print with grade 2.

Finally, Polywarmtone is coming back?? Original recipe, no stabilizers? And he freaking said LITH PRINTING... if PWT comes back as a lithable paper, that will be huge for lith printers, and it should make lith printing more accessible. Awesome news all around.

Adox does a great job and i have no doubt they will do their part to keep film (b&w at least) alive for a long time to come, i use their adonal, fixer and wash. I would love to support them and buy more of their products, but i dont have any use from ASA 50,25 or 100 films, they should look into making a faster film, maybe something exotic that is not yet another hp5 like asa 640 or 800 maybe

The idea of your channel is a genius idea. There is no similar channel in Arabic - so I decided to create a similar channel. Greetings to you

I'd love to offer more support to Adox, but I also have to offer support to Foma, Ilford, Kodak, Fuji and Tetenal... The problem as I'm seeing it is that there too much support needed in this industry and there only so much film or chemistry I can afford to buy in a year. I'd wish I could do more, but such is life. My next order will be some Adox 4x5.
