This carb cycling Idea seems absurd to me. I was at the stage where I was sleeping a lot throughout the day at almost every 2 hour intervals. Not being able to study due to persistent somnolence made me miserable. Only when I started doing keto and fasting, I started feeling great. When I tried cycling back carbs I started feeling sleepy again. No processsed foods, only rice and potatoes. Thomas Delauer helped me in this journey with his youtube channel "Thomas Delauer". I highly recommend him. Though I was fasting too much in the beginning and my cravings went up and hit a plateau in fatloss, listening to my body and reducing the frequency of fasting, not fasting in the proliferative/luteal phase of my menstrual cycle., taking enough nutrients(wheatgrass powder, mineral supplements and organ meats), adaptogens(ashwagandha, rhodiola, holy basil) and nootropics(lions mane) helped me recover. I feel like I have reborn again in a new and healthy body!

I’m in crisis this summer 2022 with high blood pressure. Doctor has done blood tests which showed high cortisol and aldosterone levels. Aldosterone regulates potassium sodium balance. I’m also battling spikes in blood sugar. I was diagnosed with Hashimotos thyroid five years ago. I think my blood pressure issues started about 7 years ago but didn’t know what the problem was. Six years ago I developed rheumatoid arthritis and reversed it 90 percent with a plant based whole food diet with zero fats and oils. I also was diagnosed with atherosclerosis last year. So having animal protein is problematic even though I can see that carbs have become an issue. In fact I feel like I should avoid carbs at dinner time but that’s when I really want them! Suggestions would be welcome.

Just slowly slowly, figuring out how to add carbs to each meal after years of avoiding carbs. I ordered some extra supplements which just arrived this week. I’m being very careful not to overwhelm myself. I’m still really really bad, and yet I’ve managed to get a couple of things done around the house that have been on my to do list for ages, like a year or more! I did them very slowly and I took lots of breaks and rested a lot, but I got them done. They are things that any normal person would have done in 20 minutes and each of them was my entire day, but that’s still a really good sign that I’m on the right track. My mum called last night and I told her I’d done those 2 things and of course she offered to come and help next time I’m doing something. Lovely that she wants to help, but I’ve learned that when she’s here helping I push through and keep going when I should rest, plus we talk and that takes more energy, and then I crash after she leaves and I can’t afford to do that yet. I need to be very careful. There’s some hope now though 😊

@@moniquem783 Yes, he can really help guide you through the different phases. You seem to be in phase 1-2 still. When i was in those early stages i ate very frequently (every 2 hrs) and i usually had rice, ground chicken, veggies. Greek yogurt with no sugar before bed every night. I also took minimal supplements and still take the same ones to this day. I also made myself a pink salt drink every morning. Also found out what my body was depleted of and took those supplements as well. I went and had my hormones retested every 3-6 months. By 1 year my hormones were all back to normal. I cut out all processed sugar and white bread as well and that seemed to really help. Also took cortisol manager, magnesium, vit d, probiotic (NO VIT B), no caffeine, nothing to stimulate you... often times talking would also take a lot out of me- getting too excited would be hard too and too angry :( I drank tulsi sweet rose tea twice a day and chamomile tea before bed. Hi. I think I am suffering with some of these things. My main symptoms are weakness, abnormal sleep pattern, liver function is high and worse one of all is that I have to eat something every 2 to 21/2 hours or else I feel like am going to pass out or something bad is going to happen to me. I have had a blood test for diabetes but it came out normal. I am so confuse as my doctor doesn’t understand me so he’s referred me to see a gastroenterologist about my liver. Can anyone give me some advice on this. By the way I think I have leaky gut so am on a gluten free dairy free and sugar free diet.
@SusanBrooklyn7 жыл бұрын
Yes please stay away from dairy and sugar. It sounds like you have adrenal fatigue and the adrenal glands are causing your digestion issues. Your diet is very important right now. Vegetables,healthy proteins and good fats should be what you are eating. If you can handle a clove of finely chopped raw garlic and sprinkle/hide in food (with cool water near to drink). Many times I do the garlic alone, without food so I can clean the lining of my stomach to stop the leaky gut. I won't describe what I see when I go to the bathroom. I'd be doing so much better and probably well again if I wasn't such a sugar fiend. Sleep is HUGE. You want recover unless you dedicate yourself to going to bed early. When you are in recovery faze it is advised to go to bed at 9pm. No later than 9:30. This is a step that can't be negotiated. Your recovery all depends on getting the GOOD SLEEP at the RIGHT TIME for as many nights as it takes for your adrenals to recover. So these are just a couple of bits of advice. Check for more details from people made their recovery continue to this day. One of the people is a guy who does videos under the name Health Recovery, he has a lot of videos talking about how he was so ill and is now well.

@@meekellassidddiq4608 Buy yourself some progesterone cream and apply it to your thin skin areas 2x a day during the luteal phase i.e. days 14 -26 if youre not in menopause yet. You'll feel amazing. Just remember you need to apply enough, especially if your'e on the heavier side.
