It’s interesting that people refer to meditation, yoga and reiki and all sort of different ways of healing but they never talk about prayer which is above all those methods of relaxation and healing, when you’re meditating on God’s attributes and connect with Him and feel His love pouring out on you. The sweet, sweet presence of God!!!

The more I study the causes of these problems and the things that work best to heal, the more I see the things that heal lead back to God… Such as the nervous system needing to feel safe and at peace, and how He gives us peace that passes understanding (yes, even in spite of the traumas which often seem to be at the root of these problems) I praise my God who heals! 🙌🏻

As a mental health counselor I recognize the symptoms you are discussing are also symptoms people experience when they have complex trauma, especially when this trauma goes unresolved. This is because the body, physiologically, is in a constant state of fear and stress. It really fits with what you are talking about as well as Polyvagal Theory.

They may line up with the same symptoms because in trauma the adrenals are hugely impacted! So adrenals and trauma go together.

How can one resolve trauma, conscious or not it ? (when it happened in childhood and have no memories about it...).
@davidrickman6334
@davidrickman6334 2 жыл бұрын
@@joannad8047 There are therapeutic methods such as EMDR and IFS (which I use) to process childhood trauma in a mental and effective way. However, there is mounting evidence that before most counseling therapies can be effective, we have to regulate the internal physical state of someone who experienced traumatic childhood events. This is because of the strong mind, body, neurology connection. Trauma, especially repeated childhood trauma, actually causes you body to live in a state of fear. Here, a wholistic approach is very effective at processing childhood trauma.

@Holding the Line Good morning. I hope you are enjoying your grad program. I use guided meditation exercises for calming, psycho education to help clients understand their physical state and trauma reactions, and some EMDR resourcing to help (such as Safe Space and Safe Container). I default to IFS for trauma processing because it is actually more "gentle" than EMDR.

During the pandemic I started "birding" / bird watching because I was bored. Thanks to that, I am now outside in my spare time, no matter what weather or season it is. It has helped me so much to handle the stress my job causes. Being outside in nature, moving my body and seeing the beauty of the world where is literally the best thing for me personnaly. I agree with this. Because of long covid I started going out to the backyard to put my bare feet on the earth & lay my legs in the sun and I discovered a world of beauty, healing and relaxation out there. Now everyday I visit the world of the apple tree, the weather, the blue jays, the toads, the wasps & the squirrels just because the diversity is so soothing.

Matthew 11:28-30 Jesus said . “ Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. 29 Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. 30 For my yoke is easy and my burden is light.”❤ I am recovering from adrenal fatigue and God used this to change my heart. He showed me how much of unnecessary things I put on myself. How important it is to be giving Him my burdens , spend time with Him and rest in Him. I have no idea why, but some people react terribly to melatonin. I so wish I could benefit the way others do but it just makes me feel drugged and then anxious. It's kinda like the feeling of fighting benadryl with added anxiety. If I can even fall asleep, I'll soon be jolted awake into a panic. I also react terribly to ashwaghanda and the whole olive tree(fruit, leaf, oil)🤷‍♀️ im glad it works for you, im just putting this here in case someone tries it, feels worse and then blames something else.

I have drinked coffee when i was 16. I'm now 32. I drank atleast 3-5 cups a day. I had so bad burnout that when i drank coffee i literally started to feel dizzy. When the burnout showed some really bad symptoms i had high blood pressure, high HR. I had really bad anxiety and my heart was palpating like crazy non stop. I just had to quit coffee cold turkey after all these years. I was on a long sick leave when i basically just slept and slept. I'm still recovering and i feel exhausted but i'm much better. I eat much healtier and try to REST as much possible and i try to keep my body calm. I've moved from weight lifting to yoga, pilates and walking. So after i stopped the coffee i wanted to test it after a long time. After just one cup i had SO bad anxiety and my HR went up drastically and i started to sweat. Even on the evening i felt like i couldn't sleep. I didn't believe how bad symptoms I got from JUST ONE CUP! Now I understand what kind of poison it really is for me and I learned that i've abused my body with it all these years. I still love the taste and smell of coffee but i moved to chicory from regular coffee.

As someone who had accumulated stress over time, EMDR therapy was very helpful to process developmental trauma. I think there isn’t enough emphasis on the physiological stresses that can be at least as impactful as the psychological traumas. For me, my breast implants created a allergic immune system response to the chemical adhesives. This put my body in a chronic state of emergency for years. I had them removed after trips to the ER showed no signs of any other reason for all the adrenal burnout symptoms with inability to take a deep breath…chest pressure. I had great relief over the last 6 months but slowly the adrenal burnout fatigue became more intense. It will take much longer than I thought to heal as I had no idea about adrenal burnout. I really do have a healthy peaceful lifestyle.

Been dealing with Adrenal Fatigue on and off for 11 years. Being a musician performer working in the studio for 20 hours at a time makes it really hard to heal from Adrenal fatigue. Today was one week recovering from a crash, five days off of caffeine. I got the worst headache ever so I had to do an espresso or I was going to just die. 😮 Adrenal fatigue when it gets really bad is a nightmare. The thing about it is, you think you have all this cool energy after you get better working out at the gym and doing all the stuff we do in life and little do you know you are actually operating off of pure cortisol and adrenaline then all the sudden you just crash. And guess what you have to start all over again. This has been my life for 11 years.

I’m hitting adrenal fatigue. I’ve been trying to get my house ready to sell. I sleep without a problem bcz I listen to soothing Christian audio books throughout the night. I own & run a stressful business. I’m single with an acre yard that I only take care of, I’m 57 and I have been in menopause since I was in my late 30s, I’m on HRT as well. I mainly do ok but I think that I underestimated how stressful moving would be being on my own. I have PTSD from childhood trauma, so when I get stressed I think it’s more than what it should be… Here lately it doesn’t matter how much coffee I drink I can’t get energy. I drink an electrolyte drink everyday & take vitamins. I’m mainly carnivore with a little fruit & a little veggies. This morning is when I it hit me that my adrenals are fatigued. I’ve been going right to sleep after work & not getting back up. As soon as I get feeling overwhelmed I get feeling like I need to take a nap. I’m going to stop drinking coffee & see how that goes. The burn out is finally lifting a little, maybe twice a week eye can step outside.. ride the bike. Mostly eye stay inside, eyev started microdosing psilocybin twice a week, that's helped some. I am not stressed and eat very healthy. What kind of chronic infection would it be and why not showing up in the numerous countless labs that I have done? Clostridia Bacteria Overgrowth. Get an Organic Acids Test from Great Plains Laboratory. You may need to see a Functional Medicine person to do this for you. It's not cheap unfortunately. Look for elevated HPHPA metabolites. It's essentially an infection that creates ongoing neurotoxins. Much different to C. Difficile or other more obvious Clostridia infections. It can occur after periods of chronic stress, unhealthy lifestyle, eating, alcohol etc. Requires antibiotics and probiotics. Therefore you need to see someone who knows about it. You should also see a psychologist to cover off all bases. Stress can be invisible and happens when things in our life are in conflict with the authentic desires of our psyche or subconscious.

@@johnp5174 Sounds relative normal, similar to with insulin resistance, which is often caused by hyperinsulinaemia (lots of insulin in the blood). If there's lots of something in the blood stream, our body natural makes it's cells more resistant to it to achieve homeostatis. To correct the issue, one needs to figure out why the body is pumping out cortisol and stop it/slow it down.

What seems to work best for me is quality protein in the morning, lots of healthy fats, tons of leafy greens, and very few carbs. I have the carbs in the evening to help me sleep better. I cut out refined sugar entirely, and eliminated most processed items. At first, I had to eat a little something every 90 minutes to 2 hours, trying to steady the blood sugar enough to take some strain off the adrenals. As my adrenals have gotten stronger, I now eat something about 4 times a day.
