I wish we used the terms "noradrenaline" and "adrenaline" here in the US instead of "norepinephrine" and "epinephrine". I think it makes it so much easier to remember and it helps to relate the "adrenal-ine" the adrenal gland.
@BakrAli10 Жыл бұрын
Epinephrine has a similar clue, too. It is epi (above) the nephrine (nephron: the functional unit of kidneys, nephrology: the study of kidneys) I actually just realized the connection of both adrenaline and epinephrine to the adrenals and the nephrons while watching this video!

Thank you for your teaching, reminded me of things. I want to say to all those complaining about their teachers, yes there are crappy ones, but most that are complained about are not, it is simply that you saw the material for the first time when the teacher showed it to you and you related that difficulty to the teachers teaching, in actuality it is simply cause the 2nd time your brain hears it being explained on youtube you already had an idea of it even if subconsciously, so it is not as hard the 2nd time and even easier the first, after 100x it becomes trivial cause of repetition. stop blaming the education system, the books are the same everywhere, unless you are in south korea then them books might just be communist that's why its hard hahaha. i am not a teacher, i am a doctor, and i use to think like that too until i realized it was me and i stopped blaming the teachers, ones i came to this revelation i started doing much better in school and feeling better about my situation cause i had control, not that the teacher had control (reason yall are blaming them is cause you feel like they control how and what you learn(yes the government controls education to a degree but that different, what they control is the content not how much of it your brain can remember), teachers are are guides that have been there done that 100x, nothing more)

Thanks so much for your videos! I'm wondering why would an α2A alpha-adrenergic agonist cause a side effect of constipation? How would this be resolved?
@BakrAli10 Жыл бұрын
Alpha2 agonist? Like what? Or did you mean alpha-adrenergic agonists in general?
@AT17637 Жыл бұрын
Yes, I.e. we commonly see constipation with guanfacine and clonidine. Guanfacine is meant to target alpha 2 receptors. If constipation occurs, would it due to an unintended cross action on the alpha 1 receptor?

@imperatorromanorum31502 жыл бұрын
I would say in an extreme situation of overstimulation, it can help prevent an exaggerated response that can be even more dangerous than the threat itself. An example may be extreme tachycardia leading to cardiac arrest.
