My sweet Jesus. That brings back memories. Being a 19-year-old combat soldier in Vietnam you had very little access to listen to your favorite music. Armed Forces Radio could be picked up anywhere. It was our life blood for keeping up with the latest Tunes.......

For those interested : although the "good morning vietnam" movie was not accurate because Mr. Cronauer would still be in Leavenworth i like to think that irl without consequences the original Dj would be a lot more like depicted in the movie. Quote from an interview with him in Usa today : "Cronauer, who left the Air Force as a sergeant in 1966, said he has no issues with Williams' performance in the movie". This tells it all imo. Much respect for both men. R.i.p.

But not correctly. Adrian did it like this("GOOOOOOOOOOD morning, Vietnam!") because it's not if, but when, you oversleep. The emphasis was on the good so he could grab the records, contact lenses, paperwork, coffee, etc while starting the show.

@@ClarkeMarek Robin was given very loose parameters and then did a lot of improvisation. This is his interpretation of Cronauer. It was not supposed to be an accurate to the letter performance. The director let Robin be Robin. He was at his best when riffing.
