Emmitt smith made that O-line good based on the type of runner he was. Simple 1 cut and go... and as an offensive lineman that is the best type of running back to blow for because you know where they will always be.

Eric Dickerson was good but not really my favorite style of RB's. I wasn't much of a fan of Marcus Allen's style either but how he got done dirty from the raider's owner with playing time for a few seasons led me to believe that he definitely would of had more yards on the all time list.

@@Damianoutlaw it's more than that offensive line. Having Jay Novachek, Moose, Aikman and Mike Irvin in that offensive helped tremendously since you couldn't just load the box with Irvin and Harper on the outside. Barry was better than Emmitt deal with it .

The Emmitt O-line narrative is so fraudulent...1993, after winning the 1st bowl, Emmitt held out, Cowboys start the season 0-2, couldn’t run the ball, couldn’t do anything on offense. Jimmy Johnson demanded Jerry pay Emmitt, he did and Emmitt comes back, Cowboys finish 12-4, win the super bowl, Emmitt wins league MVP and super bowl MVP...case closed

look like AP is getting in touch/accepting with retirement. He wanted to be the goat RB at one point, for him to take his competitiveness and give other RBs props. I feel 5 years ago, he’d say himself in a lot of these categories.

And if he did, it would be justified. Let us not forget that he is the most physically dominant RB to ever play outside bo Jackson. But with elite vision. He breaks single season rushing record his rookie year if he plays full season, has 2nd highest rushing season ever after tearing his ACL less than year prior and has single game record. From a highlight standpoint, it's neck and neck with Barry sanders depending on preference. He'd be much more respected in a different era.

Sayers was Barry. If he had a full career then Walter would be the 2nd best Bears back ever. AP is highly underrated as well. Top 10, worst case, 15 back ever. He proved me so wrong.
