And if he did, it would be justified. Let us not forget that he is the most physically dominant RB to ever play outside bo Jackson. But with elite vision. He breaks single season rushing record his rookie year if he plays full season, has 2nd highest rushing season ever after tearing his ACL less than year prior and has single game record. From a highlight standpoint, it's neck and neck with Barry sanders depending on preference. He'd be much more respected in a different era.

Name all the backs that were successful behind Zeke's O line. Now name the backs that were successful behind Emmitt's... I'll wait. What did Emmitt have when he went to Arizona? It wasn't his O line just like it wasn't Jordan's shoes.

Top 5 RBs all time is tough for me. Erick Dickerson, Terrell Davis, Sweetness, AP, OJ! Bo if he didn’t stop earlier.

Gayle Sayers was the first Barry S. That said, Barry looked like he was being run by something other worldly. Earl Campbell Was another one.

I think 99% of will have those first 3, it's the 4th that's going to get a ton of different answers, some will Say Emmitt others Dickerson, Simpson, Sayers, LT, AP, Dorsett, Bo, Csonka, Thomas, Campbell, Riggins, etc etc.

Shannon O.J. SImpson did not get a mention, he had woirld class speed, explosiveness, and vision just to name a few. AP was a bigger more physical version of o.j.

Perfect running back, the mold to start with, would be ricky williams imo.

Yo' Shannon, Barry DID NOT have a terrible offensive line. 3 of 5 were All-Pros at various times, they just were not Dallas' O-Line. No other HOF runner had an O-Line like the one Emmitt had...

People act as if Emmitt had that great line his whole career. The "Great Wall of Dallas" was great but it was for about 4 to 5 years. Dude gets disrespected so much

@APJ Thank you. Emmitt had that great OL from '92 to '96. People are always disingenuous when it come to Smith's career. He was a complete running back.

I SWEAR, I SAID WHAT SHANNON SAID ABOUT BARRY (if he had our line)!!! Was he a patient enough runner? Was he creative out of necessity (force) or is that how he runs??
