Final upgrades on JJRC Q64

Sometimes servos draw so much current or VCC voltage is not stable and voltage start to drop and when that happens You may have some problems with steering or other similar. Capacitor work like battery, store some small power inside and act as a stabilizer so when voltage drop capacitor will give that voltage to make it smooth :) I hope this help :)

Locking the diffs makes a HUGE difference. Turns the truck from a toy to a real crawler.

@@leirameirarc for WPL or JJRC that World Peacekeepers figures (so called WPL figures :D ) are best but I will test that walking dead figures on JJRC Q65 because Subotech Jeep is not designed for figures :D

Love the interior lights nice touch 👍. Can I ask a question? Is the purpose of the ESC to give more power to the motor as well as supplying voltage to the reciever? I only ask because as yet I have never used one.

Lights in the cab should have all been yellow, orange or red in color. All military vehicles are that way to cut down on glare and not to show off to the enemy. Still great job. 👍

Can the q64 not fit in a 370motor/upgraded gears? Id think that would be the first upgrade.

You can fit that with some modifications, but that motor will destroy this car :D Some motors are overkill and start to break all parts but if You change all to metal, then parts should last a little longer :)

What did you use to replace the wire for the headlights? You replaced it so it could connect with the RC light switch.

I replaced LEDs, wires and added resistors so I replaced all :D I don't like cool light on headlights that's why i always replace to warm white to make it more realistic. Normal LED's are connected together to divide voltage between both but You don't have control over brightness that's why I use resistors for each led to chose how bright I want it to be on a specific voltage.

@@Adrian202 I mean the original wires that are attached to the headlights. Instead of being black and red, I saw white and red with a different connector so it could connect with the light switch, then you could connect it to the receiver.

The light switch cannot connect with jst connector so you soldered on a different one that could attach to the light switch. It wasn’t shown in any of the upgrade videos.

What charger do you use for the battery?

I have about 5 chargers but mostly i use this one: kzbin.info/www/bejne/ZoaZn2aqapZ2b68 or My old Turnigy Accucell 6 but that dual is better so i use that one. Accucel 6l is same as iMAX B6 bit.ly/35YuQjd but remember that You need power adapter for it and it's sold separately but it's one of most popular because it can charge almost all batteries of most kinds :)

Capacitor is connected to vcc (5v) and gnd (ground or negative) DO NOT CONNECT CAPACITOR IN OPPOSITE DIRECTION !! there is a stripe on capacitor pointing negative and that need to be connected to - on receiver and the other leg to + if You connect it wrong capacitor will explode :D not joking :D

Yes, but front tires are first thing that will try to climb on something and when one wheel will just rotate in air rear wheels may not have enough force to push that locked wheel on that :)

To each their own but I will never understand why anyone would glue a differential rather than putting in a heavy lube. Limited slip differentials serve a purpose and unless you are using your truck STRICTLY for extreme rock crawling you don't need to "lock" the diffs.

All depend on what You have in home, Before I use hotglue because it's easy to take it off and now I have thick oil so I use that :) I lock diffs because always wheels are spinning in air unless You drive on perfect flat street :)

If You over upgrade one part and leave other parts stock they will brake fast, try to put strong motor inside with stock drive shaft and it will brake in first minute :D That's why I mostly upgrade 2 or more in same time, Q61 that i wait for will have most of suspension upgraded
