Adrian, I have a deeeep affinity for this kind of music, I suffer from depression and life is honestly very grey and lifeless, but when I listen to your music I feel. I feel alive and I feel emotional pain that is not the pain from depression. It's an oddly good pain. Pain that means I can feel. Adrian you are helping me get through life, without even knowing it, just by living yours. Thank you very much.

He pulled himself up on the ledge, grateful for the dry bit of land the cave gave to him, the arrows piercing his chest. His ship was burning, sinking, and he could hope for no rescue now. But he accepted his pain, his fate, content with his life and all he had been. He thought of his beloved, how he would finally be able to see her. Taken in her youth, he had sworn to protect everyone like her, and all others. As he lay there, a small glimmer of light appeared. It was the Light Fairy that had tried to save his life. She was glowing so faint, yet her light still flowed along the dark waves. Her wings gently folded as she came to a rest on his outstretched hand. He smiled down at his little companion, the pain numbing with his fading world. She curled into a ball, her light slowly going out. He rested his head against a rock, a tear streaming down his face. He would see his beloved again, safe and at peace where he left her. The fairy closed her eyes, moving no more, but her light lingered, bathing him in warmth. His blood ceased to flow, his ship sunk completely, and he at last closed his own eyes. Her face replaced the glowing waves, more beautiful, his moon and star, her voice replacing the sound of the ocean, happiness in its purest form. He had served well, and it was well worth it at the end...

What is truly sad and amazing at the same time, is that a friend of mine died in a car crash a few weeks ago. While his family was setting up for the funeral I request this song to be played during the visitation and the funeral. They said no. However on the night of the visitation i hear this song playing so I asked his father why is this song if you didnt like it. He just smiled and said "Sometimes it appears the fallen have a way of influencing the choices you make. Just as the Gods of old influenced the way of man in their earliest time on Earth. The spirits of old and now are just as powerful in today's world as the gods were back then." I stood there in shock because his father was a man of very few words. I finally said "It seems that music made for the dead puts them at peace." He just nodded and walked off to find his wife. After the visitation and funeral, alot of the comments were "The music seems to calm even the dead"

Adrian, I'd like to take a moment to thank you. When i first heard this over two years ago, I wrote a short story. That short story turned into a full background for a world of my creation. From there, it turned into a novel. Then a trilogy revolving around the world which I had created. My "Seven Realms" series is now going to be published. All thanks to the inspiration that your music gave me. Words can't express enough how grateful I am, or the enjoyment I get every time that I listen to your music, but this at least gives something. 90% of the music that I listen to whenever I write is of your creation. Stories, poems, roleplay characters, Dungeons & Dragons campaigns, etc. You have inspired many great things, time and time again, and I'd be willing to bet my life's work that I'm not the only person you've inspired in such a way with your art. From the bottom of my heart, thank you. Sincerely, Alexa, a fan.

Alex Whyte I can accept if you're going to tell Adrian how much you like the music, but don't take credit for something that isn't yours. You didn't even do it well. The Seven Realms series isn't yours at all, unless one or the other is a fake name because the author of that series is CINDA Williams CHIMA, not Alex Whyte. Also, if you really were the author, I doubt you would have a random youtube channel for Dark Souls and such with zero reference to you being an author.

Do not fear death, cousin, for it is but love transcended. All that we truly love comes back to us in the end."

There is darkness in this world there is pain and that is unmistakeable. But maybe for a brief second we can huddle around the warmth of this song dropping our weapons of hate and leaving behind our armor of sadness and we can comfort one another like brothers and sisters. Maybe we can rest for just a moment and this world will allow it for rest should not be reserved for the dead. Just maybe we could comfort one another for what we have lost on the journey through life those that we loved and those that we cherished maybe we can take a breath of air and let our struggles go so that we can once again start on our journey but never alone.

He arrived on the foreign shores of rich fertile land. Excitement filled within him. Lust for battle crept through his body to a smile of the fortunes he'd bring upon his family, or the great hall that awaited him in Asgard. He spotted crows fly across the sky silently as the men on the longboats below spoke of thrills and glory of the battle. How their infertile homeland'd have an ever brighter future of great trade. But the invasion was not an invasion of the norsemen, but a trap awaiting for them to fall into. The long ship crashed into the shores aflame. The man watched his friends die in front of him. He smiled, knowing he'd rejoin them in Folkvangr, regularly visiting Valhalla to meet the great Jarls of the past. The part he looked forward to most of all was not the glory, or meeting the gods. It was for the day to come when his wife, sons and daughters rejoin with him. I could feel the beautiful Valkyrie rotting away his corpse into an essence and taking him away to his new home.

This immediately brought to mind a poem I read years ago from an old acquaintance. He'd written it as a memorial to all those who had lost battles: how history is written by the victors and forgets to care about what happens to the losers. Those who never receive a toast, a memorial, or much mention anywhere - they were just as human and went through just as much, though they find themselves looked down upon afterward. It was a beautiful poem and brought me to tears. Now I wish I could read it again...

This song has always reminded me of all of those who's names where lost and forgotten, becoming nothing more than a series of scratches on a stone. This masterpiece reminds me of seeing the Dying Gaul for the first time in Art History class. The amount of respect the sculpture pays to a dying enemy and thus life in general is so deeply touching. She knelt next to the motionless body of her beloved, tears streaming down her cheeks. She remembered this voice like she remembered her own name. She knew she would never hear it again. Darkness filled her from within, and she knew she was nothing without him. She slouched over his face, and gave him one last kiss. She then dove into oblivion, leaving the crush world around her, to be with the one she loved. All was white. From the robes she wore, to the plants and buildings around her. Then she saw him, the loved one she had lost for a time, was with her. She ran to him, calling his name. He spun her in the air before kissing her lovingly. They were reunited at last, to be together for as long Heavan existed.

He could see it. The arrow gracefully soaring through the air - straight towards her chest. He lunged. There was no time for thinking it over. He took his life for her. The arrow struck him in the heart, piercing his skin and sinking deep beneath his muscle and flesh. The blood poured out, and when he tried to take out the arrow from his chest, his hands absorbed the sticky, thick red mess, coating his hands a violent red and filling him with a feeling of honour. He hesitated. Leave it in there, he thought as he tumbled to the ground, landing hard against the crumbling bank of the river. She crouched beside him, taking the hand that was not a painted red in her own and kissing it. She weeped for him. Thanked him for his courage, his bravery, and that his death would not be forgotten. He was a legacy. He had fought for his people, and as his eyes began to blur, he knew he would be remembered. He accepted his death, bleakly croaked back his love for her and knew there was no way he could live. The final few things he saw were his own people taking out the last of the enemies, and his girl, her beautiful, icy eyes staring deeply into his own. He did not feel not a hint of regret, but an honour. Just a quick bit of creative writing I thought up was I listened to this moving piece of music. No story in particular. Felt like posting it :)

Leonidae I don't think the movies were a 'cash grab' at all. I have read the LotR books and think both the books and movies are masterpieces. Although they did change some things, the greatness and message of the story can still be felt in the movies as they are in the books. For the leaving some parts of the story out, they simply had to, the movies are all already over 4 hours each (extended editions), and they kept a great portion of the story in, only taking out those that they thought were necessary (Tom Bombadill, The Scouring of the Shire, Theoden's Funeral, etc.) With all the work they put into those movies, I'd say they deeply cared about the story instead of only the money. You can say that The Hobbit movies are a 'cash grab' (although I enjoy them as well) but the Lord of the Rings movies are tremendous and I don't see how anyone could say that they were simply 'cash grabs.' Cheers!

I got it! I know why your musics sound so beautiful ! You made them for the pleasure of the soul, not for the pleasure of the body only. The true meaning of them go directly deep in us through the melody, and this is sadly rare on our days. Thank you.

+Sonicrules81 First of all I have to apologize because this is a kind-of automated response message I had to create because I get so many messages every day that replying to everyone would be simply impossible.^^ So this message here concerns the usage rights for my music and whether or not I'm available to make songs on request. USAGE: If your project (any project at all, movie, photography, websites, live shows etc.) is non-commercial, which means it doesn't earn you any money, then you can use my music for free. Only given credits are necessary, that's the only condition. Credits would be totally fine as a small text in the movie, website etc. written "Music by Adrian von Ziegler". In live shows and other projects where including a text would be difficult, an oral mention would suffice as well. =) On KZbin and twitch you can also use my music for free even if you monetize your videos by the way! ANY school projects have automatic free permission to use my music, no license payment is required. If the project is commercial, meaning it makes money in any way (except KZbin and twitch, see above), you would have to buy a license for the music you want to use. The license payment would be small in almost all cases except for big budget productions. It would be a one-time payment, so you can use the music you bought forever in that project. It does not give you any rights over the music however, so remixing the music, re-selling it etc. is not allowed. Giving credits is also necessary in commercial projects. Remixing, sampling and other forms of altering the original song into a new piece of music is also generally not allowed unless the remix is 100% non-commercial and labelled with the original title and author of the song (me). Adding bird noises, nature sounds or similar things are allowed. Nightcore alterations are also allowed while non-commercial and labelled with original title and author (Google "Nightcore" in case of confusion). So if your project is non-commercial or a KZbin project, just give credits and there is nothing holding you back from using my songs. ANY song you want. =) If it's commercial stuff just write me a personal message or an email at adrianvonziegler@gmx.ch and inform me about the scale and details of the project and we'll make a deal. REQUESTED MUSIC: I generally do not accept offers to make songs on request or to write music for movies, games etc. One reason is that I can't handle it time-wise but even if I had the necessary time I would still stay away from it because I - quite honestly - don't really like to do it.^^ I basically make music to express whatever topic moves me, randomly. I tried it a few times but I have the best creativity and feel the most freedom and happiness when I do that completely alone and without being “employed” by someone. I hope that’s understandable.^^ Important: I do not allow my music to be used in any project that has a clear political, racist or discriminatory message. By that I mean anything that goes from direct political, racist or discriminatory videos or underlining speeches with my music, onto remixing my melodies into a song that has lyrics with clear political, racist or discriminatory message and similar things that clearly promote these things.

thank you so much! I greatly appreciate it. And don't worry I'm only doing this for a project, I'm not planning to monetize something that isn't mine. I will add credits saying it's your music at the end of the video. all credit will go to you. thank you so much for responding.;)

@AdrianvonZiegler9 жыл бұрын
Всезар Бѣлохорватський It's difficult to know because the real Celtic tribes were already disbanded almost 2000 years ago now in Switzerland. But historically I live and grew up in the ancient lands of the Celtic Helvetii tribe, so... maybe the nature and history I grew up in influenced me. I don't know for sure, as I said. But it's possible, because Celtic music feels like I was born with it. It feels like home to me.
@jurii94869 жыл бұрын
Adrian von Ziegler So the 2nd. (Feels close to you). Well yes, celts inhabited those lands in the past, but nowadays only scots, welsh, bretons and irish remain. Well i like celtic tunes as well, and you are doing a great job. Best regards from Ukraine.

Adrian's music, in less than seconds it makes us imagine its scenario ,like this one, it made me imagine a story(its last chapter and scene xD) of a brave warrior, who have been seriously injured while finishing a quest with his own friends and comrades and they thought that he's dead so they left him in a hurry and deep sadness because they were been chasing by the enemy,but in fact the brave warrior was still alive he tried to follow his comrades after a long fight against the enemy and still thinking hopefully that his friends and family are waiting for him and that was the reason to keep fighting until his last blood drop,however, when he reached the coast of the island/cave he found out fatally that he was late a couple of hours ( the boat has already left) ,then he lie down trying miserably to rest from that long epic battle, and he saw a fairy that bring him some old memories;when he saw for the first time a fairy,when he met the love of his life and in the same period he made some loyal friends, and now at his last breaths he says:"How ironic I only saw a fairy twice, the first time, in my glorious moments and the second in my last ones"and the story ends with a naive laugh from the brave warrior and its smile facing the death...
