I think it's maybe because Milcery looks ghostly, and shiny Applin is a green apple which is often used for Halloween themed recipes like "silly monster apple bites" or "monster apples" . Not to mention, it's a spooky shade of green.

It's not hacked unless you hacked the encounter. Pokerus is a rare thing that I think helps a pokemon's EVs grow faster. It can be passed onto other pokemon in your party, but finding one in the wild with it is pretty rare.
