Hi satyan,I am from Hyderabad india,I need some info regarding this,I also want to contribute and wana apply for FR24. Is this legal in india or in Hyderabad to install them or we should take any permissions from the government like how india required license for walkietalkie.and I see that the fr24 will send them for free but should we pay for customs charges and duty? And dose it consume any high electricity like will it increase my electricity bill.pls kindly let me know,I don't who will give all this info for hosting a set in india.THANK YOU, Waiting for your reply.

Does anyone know why the demonstration teams don't use ads-b when performing airshows in the US? I see many support aircraft using it constantly but only rarely do I see tactical aircraft flying with it. Thanks...

ADS-B is real-time but not for short run high performance applications. Blue Angels for example requires split second decisions by pilots and manual finger control not possible with high G suits.

This is a good functional explanation but I want to know how so many "devices" (aircraft) can communicate on the same frequency and any receiver be able to decode any of the data. I suppose I'd have the same question about wifi.

It's a bit like the internet. Digital packets, or frames are modulated onto the RF carrier frequency. These packets are unique to each aircraft, and are identified by their ICAO address, which is a bitfield within the packet.

Hi, i am going to install ADS-B 1090MHZ antenna in my top of roof above 30 feet from ground level. Is there any problem with lightning strike. Is there anyone's antenna affected by lightning. Please help me with that. Thank you

@Riya Vlogs mee to I'm Afraid of Lightning strike to attack my Equipment Better plan is to Switch off the Receiver that's all Note: Our House are not Constructed in Faraday cage method Like Aircraft!! This method will Increase the Construction cost of an House ! So #SWITCH OFF YOUR RECEIVER UNTIL THUNDERSTORMS END!! So Electricity won't discharge on your antenna As well as to your Receiver and House :-) Nowadays we can see many Surge protector they can only handle upto 4000 volts not millions of Volts created by Lightning !! Did you know that Iron and Electrically charged Things can easily attracted by Lightnings?

@Riya Vlogs yep I use FlightAware Jetvision 1090 MHz Multilateral Antenna Just Install LNA Pre amplifiers between Antenna Connector and cable please be concern to use 2.5 GHz LNA Amplifiers that can boost your Amplifying signals but Note your Height of installation , If you Install the Antenna over 30 feet that's good for Reception Just shown as this website www.balarad.net/ for more details !!
