“My marriage ended because of a lack of desire to change and honor God.” That’s why most Christian marriages end including mine of 26 years. He divorced me to remarry another woman. There’s nothing anyone can do when one person chooses to divorce. I’ve been divorced five years. I’m so thankful that during my trials I’ve drawn closer to the Lord. He’s been good to me. He’s been healing me and this time alone has been amazing with Him. Great testimony and thank you for sharing it with us.

@@sisterhoodmatters Hang on to The Lord Sis! You were married to a repobate minded man. Don’t mourn over whom God has rejected. I am here trying to get insight on forgiving my husband. I argue with him everyday and don’t care if he away but I’m going to file for a divorce. I can’t deal with the mental anguish. He’s cheated, lied and stole but today he swears he’s not doing these things but it’s like a spirit of torment tormenting me with his ways. I truly want to be free from this Dead marriage. He’s not seeking God’s face not even a little bit.

My ex husband was a serial cheater. I left and divorced him 2018. The woman that he is living with still he was going with a couple of years before I left was pretending to be my friend. I left in 2018. They're still living together.. I was almost destroyed by these people but God will not let it happen. I am closer to God than ever 🙏 . There is life after divorce.

@@blueseptember2174They lack integrity, empathy, boundaries, and are fundamentally self-serving. Some individuals have low cognitive functioning and a limited capacity for growth or change. They exhibit little self-reflection and avoid accountability. Their actions stem from deficiencies within themselves, not from anything you did. Don’t take it personally-if you were the same wife to other men with high emotional intelligence and integrity, they wouldn’t have cheated. Cheating and betrayal happen because individuals justify their self-serving needs and desires, regardless of the harm they cause to others. A person with low empathy is not thinking about the consequences or harm of their actions to others. Their goal is to feel better about themselves. While some cheaters may perform surface-level good deeds, these are not truly righteous people; they lack the discipline to consistently do the morally ethical thing, especially when no one is watching. The why is a lack within them. Only those willing to confront their flaws and take accountability can change and grow.

I sympathize with her pain. Truly. I can relate and empathize with her story, but marriage is a life long Covenant, not a contract. Divorce and Remarriage is not the answer. Remarriage is considered ongoing adultery according to Jesus if your original spouse still lives. And Paul makes clear that ongoing adultery not turned from means you will not inherit the Kingdom of God. So this could have eternal consequences for people choosing to divorce and then remarry to "start over". One of the best biblical teachers of the modern Era David Pawson, has covered this subject in depth. He explains how the so called exception passages are either a misapplication or even mistranslation of the text. Not a subject to bet your soul on by guessing wrong. So I hope people will hear out his arguments in full and get with the Lord before ending a marriage and starting a new one. I cannot believe that I just found this. I've been staying my coffee shop everyday this week because of the exact same situation. I love my husband. We have amazing marriage, except for we have absolutely no intimacy or honesty. That's not a marriage. This Saturday yesterday my husband decided to file divorce papers because I said if he wasn't honest with me you would have to divorce me he chose divorce over honesty of his p*** addiction. We've been together 17 years and race two children together. We have a granddaughter and another one coming in October. It's p*** over his family. I'm only 12 minutes 57 seconds into this but I cannot believe the similarities. Thank you for sharing the story all the way from Duchesne Utah.

It takes 2 to tango. The man she married made some horrible mistakes but I’ve learned that it’s not always one sided. I’m sure this lady made some mistakes as well. I hear a lot of perfectionism and selfish-ambition and rarely any humility or Christ when I watched this. I pray she finds personal healing so history doesn’t repeat itself. God has taught me the hard way that there is no person in the world that can fulfill all your needs like Christ.

Hmm. I am listening closely. That idea of "fixing" each other or the other is not how it goes does it? There are only perfectly imperfect people. That doesn't excuse the sometimes harsh/cruel things we sometimes do or say to each other but exposes the false narrative you can go to all the counseling, read books and even read the bible together and you will still have a journey. A journey both people may or may not be able to survive and handle together.

We all have inner conflicts, things about ourselves that are not pleasing if/when they come out to each other. It is never, ever one sided. Love is not only a feeling but a choice, and the truth is, you can love someone but not be able to live with each others inner demons.

@beginningandlast - There are absolutely some cases where one partner desires divorce based completely on their own selfish choices. It does not always take 2 to tango. Some people just fall a part because they never leaned on the truth to set them free. And when they realize their life is just full of pain and difficulty, they have to blame someone else for their pain which is usually their spouse. If you are not surrendering your soul burdens to Christ, then you will place those burdens on others or yourself. This is the primary cause of divorce.

The problem with testimonies is that they can easily get in the way of Christ. This woman bragged about how good she was and how she tried doing everything right. There was no need for repentance because she believed she was morally superior to those around her.

One hand can't clap 👏, the only way to row a boat to safety and efficiently is if both persons are helping. If divorce isn't an option you've already put yourself for a lifetime of unhappiness, however when men find someone they will leave, because happiness is paramount.

I'm starting to grow bitter toward men. I consider myself a fairly attractive woman, above average. I'm loyal, I try to take care of the man I'm with, I give them freedom, patience, and understanding. Yet every man seems to be either a full blown cheater, or have a severe wandering eye that they justify as "not a big deal", which will eventually lead to adultery if not checked. Well, if you're a Christian, looking at a woman with lust in your heart is committing adultery. It is a pattern for me to pick these men at this point, so it's obviously something I need to figure out, but why can't a man just be content with a good woman who is trying to live godly and support him? They want the modest woman only they see, and the nearly naked fake breasted bimbos online at the same time. I'm genuinely over it at this point.

MEN PREFER TO CONNECT WITH WOMEN PHYSICALLY. WOMEN PREFER TO CONNECT WITH MEN EMOTIONALLY. MEN NEED SEX & RESPECT. WOMEN NEED AFFECTION AND INTIMATE CONVERSATION. IF THE LANGUAGE OF A MAN IS RESPECT & TO RESPECT SOMETHING IS TO FIND IT VALUABLE, THEN THE VALUE OF A THING IS DETERMINED BY ITS RARITY. RESPECT THEREFORE, IS THE ART OF VERBAL CELEBRATION. WHATEVER YOU CELEBRATE WILL COME TO YOU WILLINGLY. GO WHERE YOU ARE CELEBRATED AND NOT WHERE YOU ARE TOLERATED. NOTICE HOW QUICKLY WOMEN WILL DISRESPECT A MAN IF HE IS PERCEIVED AS BEING CONNECTED EMOTIONALLY ELSEWHERE. EMOTIONS ARE THE LANGUAGE OF THE SOUL. EMOTIONS EMIT A FREQUENCY CALLED FEELINGS. FEELINGS ARE THE LANGUAGE OF FREQUENCY. WHEN A WOMAN'S FEELINGS ARE HURT, SHE BEGINS RESENTING THE MAN WHICH LEADS TO BITTERNESS. CONSEQUENTLY, THE FRUIT OF BITTERNESS IS S.I.G.N LANGUAGE: SHE BEGINS, SHAMING. INSULTING. GUILT TRIPPING. WHILE NEEDING TO BE RIGHT. IF THE LANGUAGE OF A WOMAN IS LOVE & TO LOVE SOMETHING IS TO FIND IT DESIRABLE, THEN DESIRE IS THE PROCESS OF BRINGING YOUR IMAGINATION TO ITS BOILING POINT. IMAGINATIONS ARE THE CONJURING OF WORDS AS PICTURES. FAIRY TALES ARE BASED ON APPEARANCE & ACCOMPLISHMENTS. PEOPLE OF POOR CHARACTER USUALLY HIDE BEHIND ACCOMPLISHMENTS AND APPEARANCE. LOOK AT THE BILLIONS OF DOLLARS SPENT ON CLOTHING AND COSMETICS. MOST PEOPLE WITHOUT DISCERNMENT CHOOSE RELATIONSHIPS BASED ON APPEARANCE & ACCOMPLISHMENTS. THIS IS THE SAME WAY PEOPLE VOTE FOR POLITICIANS. BASED ON APPEARANCE & ACCOMPLISHMENTS. NEVERTHELESS, NO ONE WONDERS WHY ATHLETES, ENTERTAINERS AND THUGS ARE IN SUCH HIGH DEMANDS DESPITE THEIR POOR CHARACTER. CHARACTER IS WHO YOU ARE WHEN NOBODY IS LOOKING. CHARACTER IS THE PERSONALITY OF THE INNER/ SPIRIT MAN. IMAGINE BEING A DOCTOR, LAWYER OR A POLITICIAN WHAT WOULD YOU DO IF YOU KNEW YOU WOULD NEVER GET CAUGHT?

It happens… I too was divorced from a person I was so crazy about. As a man, I never abused her, never cheated, never even cursed her out. But she did the lying, cheating, etc. the marriage only lasted two years and we had one child. What I would like to share with others… seriously take the commandments from God very seriously. People “believe in marriage “ more than up holding God’s commandments. We all have to be careful of “self worship “ doing what we want etc and not seeking God’s permission. In fact, I discovered many of never took the time to the Old Testament, we never look at the book Leviticus.. we don’t pray and fast as said in Matthew17:21 that most bibles taken out such as the NIV… In short, many of “justify” to marry a person either one or both want “god” in the relationship… but really want to be a “god” in the relationship. Peace to you all and keep studying.

Experienced nearly the exact thing. 17 years and she had to have it all her way, ran from God into the world, surrounded herself with friends that were not believers, steeped heavily into the world and their influence over her destroyed all the good in her The lying, sneaking around, cheating all followed. She refuses to be accountable to me, to our children and especially to God. She resents me for holding her accountable. She began an affair with someone 16 years older, obese, unattractive is putting it nicely, an atheist, and she now lives with him.

I’m surprised by how many people care how she was dressed. I don’t see anything exposed. She’s talking a lot about herself because this is her testimony. People need to let God change in her whatever He feels she needs to change. Picking her apart, for her trying to share some things she felt the need to share? There could be plenty of people who got something from this other than someone to judge.

“In sickness and in health, till death due us part” is so often derailed by human self-centeredness! Then to cover up the disobedience (of breaking their own marriage vows) comes all sort of defiant rationalizations, delivered in pretty sounding speeches…until their conscience is so trivialized that they believe their own lies… Jesus scribbled the men’s sins (with his finger in the dirt) as he said to the hypocrite men (ready to cast stones at the woman caught in the very act of adultery) saying let he who is without sin cast the first stone. The men walked away ashamed. Jesus said to the woman, where are your accusers? And then He said, that He didn’t condemn her either, but said to her, go and sin no more. Today, people condemn without the thought of mercy. People would do well to learn from this Biblical lesson. (book of John, chapter 8). May God mercifully bless you to understand and un-harden our hearts!

Remember it takes two people to make a marriage, and it is based on intimacy, trust, and partnership. If you are the only one working on the marriage and the other person wants it to all be their way or the highway, not our way, the way God intended, then you are working with a narcissist. If you try to make your husband/partner happy by being there when he comes home, letting him know how much you miss him when he's not around, wanting to do things a husband and wife do, yet he cannot stop looking at smut, which is really allowing human trafficking, and if he sleeps with other women or even men (even that happens), then you are fighting a demon who has already destroyed your life to take you and your marriage from God.

This was such a powerful testimony I really enjoyed her boldness to speak on such a very rarely spoken about topic , but very commonly this happens!! She said some very important things that a lot of single people in the faith should really take heed don’t marry until you allow God to heal and deliver you from the stuff you have routed inside of you. A lot of Christians are very naïve when it comes to marrying God way. I love that she takes accountability for her own baggage, but she is not the reason the marriage failed She did everything right according to the word of God. The Bible tells us that adultery is a reason to divorce you can’t force someone to grow with you if they’re not willing to, sounds like he loved his lifestyle more than he loved his marriage because he didn’t even try to fight for it. I believe this man was a wolf in sheep clothing, He was a good friend, but he still deceived her. He made it seem like he wanted to honor the Lord by waiting for sex until marriage. Only because he knew it meant something to her he always had that lust spirit in him lust is not something that just comes overnight this sounds like to me a serious case of Lust and perversion and yes this has to be something he was been dealing with for a very long time way before she came in the picture. Men like this prey on good women like her, because they see the value that typically the woman doesn’t see because she is not aware of who she is due to traumatic experiences often associated childhood

When you show your body it is unrighteous. The bible speaks on dressing modest and covering your self up and to not give men a reason to look sexually at you. The bible mentions about adultry. If a man looks upon another women and lust after her he is committing adultry. That is an obiniation in the eyes of the lord becuase just with one look of a perverted man she can send them to hel*. It's hard to explain to a blind person (metorphorically speaking). Becuase the world wont understand the purity of the lord or his ways. Everyone else always makes excuses and say no that is ok, There nothing wrong. Becuase they are so use to perversion in their surroundings. But spiritually speaking she is dressed wrong because its inappropriate. The dress is tight, short, she wears make up. The only women that married make up in the bible was Jezebel and the lord feed her to the dogs becuase she wanted everyone to lust after her and not only that there are more topics like perversion etc. And the bible speaks of the womens hair being her glory. That it is her covering that represents her following christ, therefore strong firm believers dont cut their hair. If you believe God you would actually listen to the word of God and not only make up excuses to try to fit in with the world. For there is a scripture that says if you find your life here you will loose it in heaven. People dont seperate themselves from sin and start thinking everyone is holly when all they did was reject God, his word and his invitation.

koreen, sorry for the unloving comments down below. Your testimony was great, I'm a male and I really enjoyed this. I can see the professionalism in the way you speak lol, so I can tell you weren't lying about the career stuff. Although what some of the people said below was true, they don't understand that you must share the truth with people in a loving way. There is a time to be lovingly firm with your words, and there is a time to be really gentle. If they don't change there will be trouble for them on judgement day. This is a situation where people should of been really gentle with their words and they needed to be more understanding. I understand that not everyone is taught how to dress, and not every church holds to this standard properly. I also understand that many people are still growing in their walks with Christ and God is dealing with them. With this being said, I decided to leave you with a gentle soft correction, and left the people below with a firm correction as they deserve. God has called me to be a teacher and as a teacher I probably can learn some things from your professionalism, because your brother in Christ wants a good job lol. She shared her testimony. She was truthful . She spoke HER truth about her marriage to an x husband that had addictions. She was sharing truthfully. I'm not sure why you would say that you don't believe her. It doesn't matter .... Because she was bold and brave and courageous to share her truth. She also did not have to reveal being explosive with her anger. I took that as her not being a victim , but looking at how his abandonment and betrayal impacted her and she did not show up as her best self. Clearly , we all do the best we can when there's addictions, past unhealed wounds, abuse and neglect in the relationship with a spouse or another person we love and trust, whom betrayed us. All women do not claim to be victims . But as a survivor myself , I was victimized , and now I choose to be around others that are healing Too. So that makes us survivors. She did a good job!!

I’d like to start out by saying I’m 62 now. Been divorced for 13 years. The reason I watch these videos is to try and understand why my ex did to me what she did? I thought we were near the finish line. 2 kids in college and 2 nearly there. I was working hard to provide for my family when at 48 I discovered her affair. I should have realized our sexless marriage had very little to do with all the excuses that were given to me but I just kept thinking things would change when all the kids were gone. I guess I had accepted this life but was still resentful and was drifting away emotionally from her maybe my passive way of punishing her. I did not stray but I was really unhappy. My ex had always used sex as a way of controlling me. At the time when I found out I kept thinking you’ll give it to this guy but not to me? WTF! Anyway my therapy was me talking to myself saying things out loud I’d wish I said to her throughout our marriage. I think I’m angry with myself more than anything for not sticking up for myself despite the consequences I knew would happen. You know go along to get along. That’s not very manly. I’m pretty sure if I’d done that early on in the marriage we’d have divorced before kids and that would have been certainly much better for me. Anyway I’ve rambled on enough but to end this I’m remarried to a wonderful woman now. It only took me into my 50s to know how to look for the right woman.

I am so sorry for you. I have the same story except Im a woman and my husband didnt have an affair, he had thousands because he was addicted to porn and rejected me. I had all the hard work with no attention, affection or taking care of my needs. Like you said, they can give themselves to other people and shun their spouse? That is a cruel betrayal! I feel your pain more than you know. May God bless you.

Go back to your husband. Don’t believe the lie that “divorce is an acceptable answer “.

Nope! God grants us permission to divorce adulterers. But she will have to remain single and celibate until he dies. I’d rather be single then be with a lustful adulterers. No ones has to put up with your cheating. And often Christian men cheat because of Gid hatred for divorce and they abuse Gods grace. And abuse forgiveness from their wife

@@Brandiisbeloved Yea... I am not exactly sure what I was thinking when I wrote that. Now, I think I would probably say something more along the lines of "If he repented of adultery and was committed to change please consider reconciling the marriage". 1 Corinthians 7:11 says "But if indeed she is separated, let her remain unmarried, or be reconciled to the husband". Women need to know that it is noble and ok to remain married even in adulterous situations. It is not easy. It is not normal. It is hard. But I would like woman who have been the victims of adultery and ongoing porn use by their husbands to be FREE to remain married to their husbands. Jesus has the same sentiment (Matthew 19). They do not have to tolerate the adultery and porn. It is sin and we should hate what God hates and love what God loves, but divorce does not have to be the answer either. I could write a book on it but Love is longsuffering (1 Corinthians 13). Suffer for a while, loooongsuffer, create distance, get pastors involved, separate (even for years if necessary), heal, recover, counsel... but divorce does not have to be the "testimony". There are so many beautiful testimonies of restoration after offense. I would even say that her commitment to him could help lead to his healing. He is broken. He needs someone to walk through the journey with him. The deception that many woman are told in these scenarios is that "the man will never change. You will deal with this for the rest of your life". That is a lie from the enemy. Men change and are changing. Maybe God put you two together to be part of that beautiful journey towards holiness. It is difficult and that is what makes it beautiful. In her situation, it sounds like she was still attracted to him and had a level of desire for relationship. That is very promising. That brings me an element of hope for her story. Why not tell the man "Hey, if you... a, b and c then lets talk about getting back together?" The other major deception that many believe is that she is now free to marry another. The bible strictly forbids it. If she remarries, she is an adulterous. This is intense. The bible says "adulterers will not inherit the kingdom of God" (it is a reference to hell). This is another reason to fight for the marriage. You have three options now #1 Believe God and contend for a restored marriage. #2 Remain single until his or her death. #3 Remarry someone else and risk eternal damnation. My point is that option #1 seems to be the most hopeful of those three. Am I right? Try! Stick it out! Show the world what God can do! Believe! Pray! This marriage restored would be a true testimony. Divorce is NOT a testimony. God hates divorce and therefore it cannot be a testimony.

@@BrandiisbelovedGod hates divorce. Do you realise that when they exchange their vows before God they never mentioned adultery? Only death will do us apart they say hence if they break of even due to adultery they are liars and they are not honouring the vows they made before God. God has never honoured divorce. Fear God and Obey his commandments.

I'm so sorry for your pain. But divorce wasn't the best choice. It wasn't the right choice. Standing for your marriage, that is what is right! And yes, I know a lot of what she's going through with her husband...honestly I think most would agree my situation is worse. But "a lack of a desire to...honor God" is not a reason to divorce, because God hates divorce. By getting a divorce, that person also fails to honor God. Anyone considering divorce, or already divorced (like I am), know that your marriage can be restored by Jesus! STAND for your marriage and for healing of the one you promised your forever to!

I think it's not up to you to decide what was best for her marriage--especially if u were not in it. The bible even says that abuse of any form, adultery and lack of service to God are valid reasons for divorce. Especially if things are unchangeable or irredeemable. It seems she tried all she could (therapy/counselling/conferences) to patch up the marriage and exhausted all her strategies. If a man is taking u further away from the path of God, divorce may be the best (though most difficult) option.

@@Tam974eva I totally get where you're coming from. And that's why it's not me that decides what's best, it's God. I speak only from His word. Can you tell me where it says "abuse in any form, adultery, and lack of service to God" are valid reasons for divorce? I can't seem to find those in my Bible.

I think you’re missing the point, she tried everything and exhausted all of her options, yet he didn’t want to put in the work to save their marriage. And quite frankly, it sounds like he would’ve driven her further away from God. Currently, she’s worked on herself, continues to pursue healing and wants to honour God. And God being the graceful and merciful God that he is, will not only forgive but renew her heart and use this situation to bless her in other ways. Marriage is a two way street, she can’t be the only one willing to do the work and expect the marriage to last. God bless

@@jampelmk9044 I'm not missing the point. There is no such thing as "tried all of the options" as long as your spouse is alive, because there's always the option of "I can wait one more day." She didn't try to wait on the Lord longer. I've heard of marriages restored after 7 years, 9 years, 12 years, even 20 years, while one spouse stood on the word of God and waited and the other spouse ran wild. God can restore if we are patient. She should be waiting longer. Marriage is for life, period. How long did people in the Bible wait on the Lord? Abraham waited on the Lord until he was in extremely old for a son before he even got the promise, then still some 15 years after the promise. David was I think 17 years, Joseph was many years, we don't really know how long though exactly. The only person who has the power to pull us away from God is us, when we choose to focus on other things.

For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears; 2Timothy 4:3 Titus 1:13 This surely is a true saying. And you should be hard on such people, so you can help them grow stronger in their faith. Hebrews 12:6 For whom the Lord loveth he chasteneth, and scourgeth every son whom he receiveth. 1 Corinthians 13:4-8 King James Version (KJV) 4 Charity suffereth long, and is kind; charity envieth not; charity vaunteth not itself, is not puffed up, 5 Doth not behave itself unseemly, seeketh not her own, is not easily provoked, thinketh no evil; 6 Rejoiceth not in iniquity, but rejoiceth in the truth; 7 Beareth all things, believeth all things, hopeth all things, endureth all things. 8 Charity never faileth: but whether there be prophecies, they shall fail; whether there be tongues, they shall cease; whether there be knowledge, it shall vanish away. 1 John 4:8 He that loveth not knoweth not God; for God is love.

Hi Koreen. May the peace of the Lord be with you sister. I appreciate your testimony, you speak from the heart, and God is looking for people like you who can tell the truth the way it is. But one thing that I see that is missing from your story as a Christian is " Prayer time " koreen I'd like for you to realise this today : a Christian marriage is totally different than a pagan marriage. In a pagan marriage when problem arrives, they seek counseling from the professionals, and sometimes it works and most of the time it doesn't. That shouldn't be the case for us Christians. Remember God's glory is through His children's marriages, therefore we must do everything to keep our marriages in good shape, and the only way to do that is through prayers and fasting. In the book of Isaiah God says He is our Counselor, so as Christians when we have any issues we must take them to Him in prayers and fasting. I would suggest you to watch this movie name " War Room " it might be inspirational to you. And sister my advice to you, is that you need to confess your sins to God, and you need to read 1 Corinthians chapter 7 it will teach you all about marriages. And Ephesians chapter 5. Remember sister, getting rid of your husband doesn't mean getting rid of your problems, I believe the Lord had placed your husband in your life to bring you closer toward God. Remember God is not usually place 2 people of the same personality and character in a marriage matrimony. If our spouse never get difficult or unworthy with us, we will never learn how to be merciful. Jesus didn't marry us because we have no issues, He married us despite of our issues so the word mercy could find its meaning. I believe it is not too late for you to fix your marriage if your husband is still single. All you have to do 1) is to go to Walmart to buy 3 yards of sack clothes 2) is to take some time off from your busy professional schedule. 3) is to go on a fasting just like Daniel, I suggest you to read the book of Daniel especially where it speaks about his fasting. God is waiting for you through your prayers and fasting. Try to be obedient to this Koreen, and you might save both your soul and your husband's soul. I pray that the Lord would allow true repentance to enter your heart right at this moment, may the Lord cleanse your heart and bring His truth inside your heart if this is His Will. May the Lord change your heart and renew your mind in Jesus name I pray. Amen. Contact number 774-329-7531

My husband had an affair on me and I just found out two weeks ago and we haven’t really talked since after I kicked him out of our home. I can try and forgive him-but I feel like this has changed me. He did this once while we were dating and I didn’t find out till after we were married-I forgave him because I was 19 at the time and newly married. Now after 12 years of marriage, how can I fight for something that was no longer important to him? I really didn’t have a close relationship with God until now. He broke our vows while I tried to make it work. If he does decide to eventually divorce me, am I supposed to stay single for the rest of my life until he passes away? I am trying to find the logic in suffering for the rest of my natural life for one man’s mistake-especially when he doesn’t have a close relationship with God. What do we say to the women who are constantly abused or in unhealthy marriages? I have a hard time believing people would tell them to stay because it’s a sin for them to leave a dangerous marriage. Or to stay in a marriage where the husband is sexually abusing your children. I am not trying to be confrontational at all-I am just trying to understand where you all are coming from.
