Now I see why a 27 year old woman fell for a 43 year old man. He treats her as a grown up, and sees her as one, which is perhaps what she had been hoping and longing for, for some time. He has empowered her, and this is a big deal. He wants her to become independent and knowledgable about her own life, which may not be the thing to do in the Filipino culture. The first time I saw Chiz on tv, I was in high school. I was so amazed by his eloquence. He spoke Filipino better than anyone I've heard before. No stammering, no stalling, no hesitation. He was so fluid, his words sounded like poetry. It seemed like he had everything memorized down to the last letter. But he was consistent in every interview so there's no way he could've memorized every single one of those responses. And then he spoke in English, and he was just as articulate. Having said that, what really gets me to this day are his wit and incisiveness. Anyone can be articulate but only few can be both articulate and sensible.

I first watched this vlog 11 months ago, when my life wasn't really going the way it was planned to . Was cooking with the person it thought the love of my life, the one who knew my struggles and was my comfort. Two days after, he broke up with me and never spoke to me again. But even then, what Sen. Chiz, now Gov. Chiz, "there are things that are meant for you and some things that are meant for others" (non verbatim) keeps ringing on my mind as i was grieving. Months passed i knew i was still grieving, regretting, blaming myself, etc for what happened to me and get sad knowing 'my comfort' wasn't there for me. . But then I realized, I was waking up everyday like nothing was wrong, everyday I was getting up. From there I decided to move on, accept all the things that was thrown to me. I chose to let go and move on. Because some things are not really meant for us and some things are. Now I am choosing to be happy, on my own and with the help of my family. Still learning and making out the best in life. So Miss Love Marie and Gov. Chiz, big big thanks for this! And for the part 2! You two are amazing! As a Grade 12 student who's in a dilemma of choosing what career to should pursue in life, what Sen. Chiz said about finding one's equilibrium someday really uplifted and relieved me from the pressure somehow. Having lost my father 3 years ago immediately turned me into our family's breadwinner and I'm having trouble in choosing between my passion in arts and practicality in selecting a course for college.
