most current adventure bikes has feature to turn off rear ABS while maintain the front ABS and that very helpful for beginner. but if you're used to riding street bike without ABS i think you'll learn it much easier and faster.

Any tips on breaking and shifting gears when standing up?

Excellent tips that are often misunderstood. Your HQ is near the coast but you're riding terrain says you're more inland. Where do you film these tracks in SoCal?

Awesome, plus the weight transfer to the rear if you are emergency braking, right?

Great tips, it's helpful to think of trail braking (not as a Trail that you're riding on) but trail as in trailing behind something. You're trailing your brakes- trail braking.

Why ABS OFF? I thought the purpose of the ABS was,to prevent the front wheel from locking up. ABS more for pavement riding? On my Tiger 800 ABS is reduced in the off road mode so it hasen’t been an issue. Real steep down hill I turn it off though.

Hey lads, got some question for You... ive been riding adventure bikes for a few years now, and found that I enjoy much more the hard and technical offroad parts of the trails than the freeway or road side... So im gone to move forward and go for some two stroke Enduro bike, my main goal is to develope a solid technique and try to do some hard enduro stuff, but im doubtfull of going with a 125 or 250 two stroke... my current bike its a 790 R weights 205kg and gots plenty of power 95hp (so much more that i can handle😂) So my question is: To build the skills its better a 125 or a 250cc two strokes? since im used to the weight and power of 790 im not sure if would be easy or hard to handle a two strokes 250 power... im 178cm tall (5'10"), weight 85kg. (190pounds), 35yo. Here in Chile im going with some new KTM, it offers me the best for my budget. And the Two Strokes choise its just because i love the sound🎉 I got no experience with dirtbikes at all just a few minutes over a 200cc two strokes old Kawa.

I couldn't reach to the rear brake lever on standing with balls contact with the pegs. What should I do then, quickly shift to arch contact or use any extension for the rear brake? Kindly advice sir
@RealWalterSobcheck Жыл бұрын
Try riding on the arch of your foot off-road. It will help with stability, steering, and access to the rear brake, which is used frequently. If you really like having your foot rocked back, consider getting pivot pegz.

@@RealWalterSobcheck Thank you for your valuable comment. Yes, I certainly practice it. Let's see..

In fact, this channel recommends nearly always riding with heels down, below footpeg, which can't be done while on balls of feet. Unconventional advice, but I find it actually does help with keeping your leg straight between ankle and knee.

why would you pull the clutch and not use engine braking too?
@NZLAdventurer8 ай бұрын
i think the video is mainly teaching to skid using rear brake. if the rear brake locks you'll need to pull the clutch.

On 95% of new and newish bikes the ABS cannot be turned off on the front.
