The reason I'm here is that I'm looking for some wind protection besides the windshield because it causes me crazy head buffeting. I have an 07 Road King Scremin Eagle that I really like but long rides at 80 mph are rough at my age. It's a big gamble to take without a test ride. Looks great though!

I'd be very interested in a version that pops on and off. The reason I got rid of my Limited "giant couch" after my wife quit riding was that I love seeing everything in front of me and being open. I'd only want something there (fairing or windshield) for a cross country trip or if for some reason I was riding in the rain on purpose like a toy run or something. It looks nice... but that's too permanent - for me anyway. I do hope you all do well with this... it's gonna be hit I'd guess.

Yes it does. It's like a little shelf that fills the gap and covers the wiring underneath. Takes 5 minutes to install. Super easy.

There are a lot of wires inside of the nacelle. Is there something that comes with this that hides all of that wiring or will the installer have to do some rerouting to clean it up?

trikes have a completely different rake than a standard touring model. The rake on that freewheeler will not allow the bracket to sit and the forks not hit
