Always love these vids. What would be cool is to breakdown basic audio circuits: VCO, VCF, ADSR and the likes.

Tom, appreciate all that you teach. Coming to Battenkill first week in Oct 21. Older, newer Trout Fly Guy. Any advice on how to get the most of 4 days VT? Thanks.

How much leader should I use for deep ponds...should I let de fly sink yo the bottom, even with the fly line?

14:00 i appreciate the host in this scene. its not often you hear or see someone in a boat like that talk so calm and humbly. usually its those bass guys in giant sunglasses and fla$hy fishing clothes who think theyre so cool😂

Very informative Mr. R. Thanks! I’m looking for a good bass fishery here in Southern Cali. A handful of lakes hold bass but I don’t know if any are “fly fishable”.

I don't know much about socal but california in general especially northern and central california lakes and rivers are full of bass. Northern California lakes hold some records especially in lakes with kokanee salmon and little planter trout. For fly fishing though you'll need to hit up the shallower waters in spring while avoiding the trees, shrubs and reeds that will often be behind you or in the water where they're hiding in. Sometimes especially on sunny calm days they are easily put off and timid but they're around just difficult.

Not gonna lie, I don’t like the idea of poppers while fly fishing. Granted, I’ve only been fly fishing for about 2-3 months. It reminds me too much of spin or bait cast fishing. I catch bass on dry flys and even some nymphs, even ones I’ve tied my own, and had little to no issue. I’ve lost a few, but that just happens. But I’ve caught 1.5-2 lbs on a dry fly for sure!
