I have rarely seen my opponents realising how valuable the Mome Raths actually are. My opponents always choose a Hero over them not realising how frustrating those little guys actually are. This is a very good and overlooked strategy. I must admit I have never seen a Queen of Hearts player getting all the Card Guards out although I have seen some double ups to make it more likely take the shot will have a better chance. You could still break Alice with the King and 3 Spears as a last resort. Rare to have every ally, the Queen has I think the most of any villain. This also presupposes the other players spend all their time focusing on the Queen to the detriment of their own play. Still I hadn't even considered there was a way of stalemating the Queen so well done.

@@davidwhitfield6025 Thanks. Yeah, I actually stalemated a friend playing her, and I didn’t think it was possible either.

Still crazy to me that the Queen of Hearts has such an obvious soft lock. The only other Villain I can think of who can get soft-locked is Loki from Marvel villainous.

@ oh right. Apologies. Well long story short Loki’s board has both discard actions at the top meaning an opponent can easily prevent you from discarding your cards. And Loki also has a special currency along with Power called Mischief tokens that he needs to spend to win. However there are two Fate cards for Loki that prevents him from spending his Mischief. The soft-lock is placing one or both of those cards that stop him from spending Mischief while covering both his discard actions. Then if his hand is full of cards that can only spend Mischief he is essentially soft-locked. It can be avoided by keeping some cards that don’t spend mischief in your hands but it can still happen as my brother and I found out when playing.
