One thing that happened that wasn’t noticed. I am part of a Hotring community and we race these things religiously. Race them on remade real world ovals, have our own series and everything. We need to do slipstream on big tracks or else it just turns into choo-choo train racing and it’s really boring, so we slipstream to spice it up. Before this update, the slipstream was decently strong but it wasn’t absurd (You don’t go literally flying past people). It worked for what we wanted. Now the slipstream is a lot more similar to the rest of the cars on GTA. Mega slipstreams you build up and gain a half a second or more on somebody. I mean it is what it is and we will have to deal with it, Maybe drop down to running the stock on the big tracks just keep the slipstream in check and not have to deal with the single file line of boredom. But it is kind of crazy that what essentially comes down to the gearing ratio of the Hotring has created MUCH stronger slipstream.

I’m from the dirt racing community and I’ll say the outlaw 4 cylinders and now bombers are broken thanks to the Ellie being fixed and flash gt, gb200,Jester classic, Michelli gt. The late models are better though tbh

Yeah that's a bit unfortunate, especially since it seems on paper that this helps the Hotring immensely. Too bad it can't handle like the irl NASCARs so handling is more of a factor and causes more runs and losses on corner exits and such, and maybe even more top speed so braking into corners or coasting is more of a factor. I guess that's about how we all want the open wheel cars to handle as well, where they need more top speed and less cornering ability so the racing is improved.

@@MattChaffe You should try running the hotrings on low grips. Braking into corners, corner exit speed matters and higher top speeds to I think. Though it is an absolutely HUGE learning curve especially for an entire crew. Edit: I haven’t tried it but I imagine it’ll be a blast with the indycars too

*As of the Drug Wars DLC in December 2022, this has been fixed and these cars are no longer broken in this way.* *Some Notes* 1) I forgot to mention this applies to the Viseris too, which received the same AHF that the Tuners got to fix its ridiculous speed when originally released. 2) They likely didn't remove the flag entirely, instead choosing to change it, because it still limits the potential top speed of the Tuners when they're in a lowered stance setup. 3) There are reports coming out that for the cars with the flag that were "forgotten" by Rockstar (eg. Jester Classic), it's possible to reach ridiculous top speeds by applying low grip tyres and handbrake boosting. The overrev flag stops the cars from shifting up so they just constantly boost for as long as you can keep them going straight. Pay attention to the rpm in standard cars (traffic and not only) now they also feel faster, but the maximum speed +- remains the same. Played on PC Steam. Maybe I'm wrong, but I don't remember such traffic redlines.

There's already a chance to remove these flags entirely, and they have to. Since it was bad (not just bad, it also worst) for business. And also in order to make a better experiment test results for the future GTA 6.

Exactly my thoughts with the first 2 points. It was their intent to fix the low-grip tires + stanced super speed with the Tuners anyway, this tweek with the AHF is more inline with it while maintaining/restoring the driftability of the cars.

I doubt they will patch the jester. You need low grip tires, so it's not practical at all. It's fast on a long smooth straight surface, but thats it. If anything it's just a fun drifting car now and no that should not be removed from the game at all.

The wheelie mechanic in muscle cars were heavily affected and now unfortunately can’t get its full potential wheelie. Don’t know the science behind it as most muscle cars do not have AHF, however the gearing when performing a wheelie were significantly changed and you can no longer perform a proper wheelie. I know most aren’t bothered or even care about this mechanic, but there’s an entire community that relies and has enjoyed wheeling, mainly drag racing. Anyways thanks for clearing this up much appreciated🙏

04:40 this is really interesting because, although these cars might still be underperforming for races, they might now be ideal for the drifting community. If they rev up quickly but don't shift into higher gears quickly, that might be an improvement for those who want to experiment with low grip tyres etc..

The Jester Classic is not just a great drifting car now, it can actually do the handbrake boost infinitely as long as you can keep accelerating it. So yeah...Enjoy it while it lasts.

you're forgetting about stancing tuners in the interaction menu, which is the reason why r* didn't remove the flag completely. for example, the calico could reach 190mph at 60 fps without low grip tires.

Also there's still the hard cap at about 180mph for these flagged cars, you see it in action specially on stunt races with big downhill slopes.

@@Johnny362000 I'm basing it on the analog speedos. Get a Jester Classic, Tezeract and Taipan downhill, the analog speedos will lock at 180mph. You will also see that the other cars will overtake you and simply keep going while your car stays behind, but only on those slopes.

The Koenigsegg 1:1 (Entity XXR) is one of my favorite cars in the world, and I’m still disappointed on how R* absolutely butchered it. I always felt like it could’ve been one of the best Super Cars on vanilla GTA but I guess we’ll never truly know with these handling flags

Also I've come to notice that if you handbrake-boost the cars with the additional flags (i.e the Jester Classic) with Low Grip Tires, the car permanently stays at redline, making it constantly boost itself to ridiculous speeds

The jester classic with low grip tires and double clutch (handbrake boost) gets the awd speed glitch due to the flags and can literally max out the speedometer in the car on a long enough straight

The fix is good for tuners and they can handbrake boost once more, but they're unable to go above a certain speed now. It still kinda feels like they were neutered in the speed department and honestly, if they wanted to avoid the stance and low grip tires from causing high speeds, they could've made a simple check that looks for stance and or low grip tires on the car and soft-cap the speed only if those aforementioned things are applied. Instead, it seems like they've globally soft-capped the speed regardless of the setup to avoid it entirely. Kind of a low-effort fix if you ask me. Hopefully the tuner cars get the HSW treatment in E&E, as well as E&E being brought over to PC.

I have noticed that cars react to bumps differently, like the suspension is softer and that rebound is slower and causes more understeer. It's an interesting effect to say the least.

With the nullification of this flag the cars now have a much better, louder acceleration noise than what they where before, notable with the Hotring Sabre in this video. I'm just glad that all these vehicles & the Tuners now can maintain constant wheelspin for potential drifting.

Well, even the flags weren't removed and just only changed the effect on the cars performance affected by these ones, here is my thoughts about them right now: -The supercars perform better, even they are still having the bouncy suspension. At the same time, I found that this flag helps them reach very high speeds when kerb boosting (like the GTO). And at the straight lines, their top speeds were provided a little, being closer to the top 3 current fastest supercars in the game (without the HSW upgrade). -On a very long flat track, they are still having the same top speed like before this flags changes. -Few of the SSASSS and AH cars would set on the current top tier just if R* remove all the AHF. Some of the following examples are: 1) Entity XXR: in terms of top speed it could be the fastest ordinary car in the game on a flat track (again, without considering the HSW upgrade). Its top speed would reach 131 MPH (beating even the Itali RSX), and in the classic straight lines its too speed would be higher, faster than the 811. 2) Tyrant: this car has the biggest potential to be the king of the speed in the game. With its handling, acceleration, kerb boosting and top speed quitely this would be even faster than the Vigilante on the straight line, blasting all the rest of the cars. And on races, it would be the perfect rival for the Krieger and the Emerus. 3) Taipan: basically with AHF removed in terms of performance it would behave like an 811 2.0, having the same top speed on a straight line and in a flat track it would run as fast as the Pariah does. 4) Jester Classic: by removing the AHF, this car would set on top tier if the sport class, in lap time and top speed, just behind of the Itali GTO, RSX and Pariah. 5) Flash GT: even the car performs really well in the off-road, without the AHF it would be more in the pace with Issi Sport, which is actually the king of this surface. 6) Swinger: as our lovely man Broughy showed us in one video, this car without AHF would blast the Sports Classic class in terms of top speed. It would still having the disadvantage of the handling; depends on the race, sometimes it would still being better to choose the Turismo Classic and the Cheetah Classic. Bonus: the Dominator GTX before the reaching of the Buffalo STX, would be the king of the Muscle class in lap time, blasting even the ASP. Would still having the lowest top speed in this cathegory. The rest of the cars are not mentioned here because even without AHF, which means a better performance and better top speed, they don't scale too many positions and still being far away from the top tier of their cathegories.

You're greatly overestimating these cars even if they had all the flags removed. The Itali GTO, Pariah and RSX are on a whole another level entirely, they shouldn't even be in the Sports class so to say. None of the flagged sports cars have any hopes of catching up to them, they're busted. The Emerus, Krieger, S80RR and Ignus have faster lap times than the unrestrained Tyrant according to Broughy himself, he already did a video on these cars without flags, you can compare the lap times. I do agree about the Swinger though, it has the power to keep up with the Retinue on the straights, but falls short on the handling department and the bouncy suspension it has makes it too unstable on bumps whereas the Retinue just soakes those up like they're nothing.

I can't say with any confidence that it's not just placebo, but the Vamos and Tulip seem to feel a lot better to drive after the update. I'm relatively sure Rockstar didn't do anything to the toe angles that made these cars randomly change direction when going over bumps, but they're a lot easier to handle ( or at least feel that way ) on PC.

As a drifter, i can tell that low grip tires on every single car changed a lot the results instead the only suspension breaking glitch, and by the way low grip tires + suspension break glitch can bring even more different results. So yeah, theres a lot of study around the new parameters of calibration in the game. If they will last for long? I also dont know. My only and biggest down side so far is that max turning angle lock has decreased, its around now on 30º, more or less. I don´t know if can be fixed with diferent kind of suspensions or wheel type, but sacrifice angles is not a good thing.

Steering lock is defined per-car. Unless LGTs change that. Most have around 40 with some getting up to the low 50s and some getting down to the low 30s

Thanks. ..I own the Swinger, Michelli, Issi Classic & Cheburek, but primarily for their looks or citeness factor only. ...what would fix a lot of issues..would be a manual shift option. it'd make the game so much more enjoyable.. either just vibing & cruising, or racing. that & a posi or sure grip rear axel option in all cars. The new Bravado Greenwood is fabulous! A late 70's Dodge Coronet/Monaco (With early 70's Chrysler Imperial taillights, I think?) :D Such a classic cruiser & feels so natural..no bad manners at all. Love it!

The biggest crime here is that the Hotring Sabre sounds like a regular car when accelerating despite being a Stock Car and having a demonic idle engine note.

The Jester Classic immediately has felt better, but man I really hope they remove the secondary flag(s). The few times I've used it on Homecoming really spoiled me with how good the car really can be. Now if they'd just add it (and things like the original Futo and Warrener, which perform negligibly different than their tuner counterparts) to the class I'd be wicked happy!

I think for Hotring Sabre its meant to give it this lazy V8 low redline sound. Without the fla git sounds just wrong. They should find a way to to affect the sound independently from performance

Broughy you should checkout the bug on the Mk4 Supra (Jester Classic) if you put lowgrips on it and HBB it will wheelspin forever and hit speeds of 300mph!

No. Keep the car with you. Even with these changes explained, it performs too much better than before. It reaches very high speeds while kerb boosting and is more competitive in races!

Why is Rockstar so hell bent on keeping these stupid advanced flags in the game? All they do is render potentially fun cars into something not even worth putting in the game. I bought all of the Tuners vehicles, and even a few duplicates, when they first came out, because I loved that update so much. Now I don't even touch them because they're just not fun to drive anymore. I've also gotten into the habit of looking up cars online before I buy them, just to check if they have any of those stupid flags (especially the bouncy flag). If there's an advanced flag on a vehicle, I refuse to even waste money on it.

I've tested the Dominator GTX The gearing is weird, it takes a bit to shift gear (it's not the slow transmission, it literally hits the limiter before shifting) Because of this reason also the wheelie is kinda broken The "good" thing is the infamous kerb boost that this car gets hitting every bump Basically it's easy to notice that this car was not made for a handling flag removal

For me, it sounds funny that the Swinger isn't that good. That's my weapon of choice against Turismo and Infernus Classics on twisty classic sports cars races. But any improvement on anything is always welcomed!

I love how Rockstar jumps on a car if it's too fast but yet they leave in god mode glitches the bogg den heist glitch to get unlimited money they patch all the gate launching glitches all the fun glitches that does not hurt anybody they patch them but they leave all these major game breaking problems in the game

Can't blame him, GT7 is just flat out not an interesting game to play at all for now. It needs to have at least TWICE the content it already has, that is besides the cars itself, so it can be a good racing game.
