Hi. Could you do a video on re-centering your mouse. I want to know how you can keep your anchor and mouse position in a favourable and comfortable position at all times, especially when tracking
@shibesilly

I second this xantares and furiousss are good examples of recentering aim style
@dunK1x
@dunK1x 2 жыл бұрын
Re-centering your mouse arm is mostly about being efficient with your mouse lifts, which depends a lot on the game on how easy that is going to be but in general if you aren‘t in the middle of a fight, it is the most efficient to lift your mouse whenever you know your crosshair placement is good enough for the time window of the lift, while still keeping your focus on the game enough so that you can hit your enemy in case they run into your crosshair (this is more in reference to tac shooters i‘d say but still applicable to other games like apex) In Valorant for example, it is quite applicable to lift your mouse a lot inbetween strafes whenever you are trying to clear angles.

@@dunK1x What about when you reach your maximum angle your wrist can handle or reach the end of the mousepad when in the middle of tracking? Usually I just flick ahead of the target then re center but it reallys messes up the aim. Also picking up the mouse constantly in general has been uncomfortable for me and what make me whiff easy shots when re centering. How far up do you need to pick up the mouse

The first tip is the best one I've seen in forever; Autopiloting with queued up shots is certainly the most common issue with Wingman in Apex. You can be an amazing aimer, but this issue alone could ruin it for you.
@TheMeta

For sure, especially with how stressful close ranged fights can be. Frantically clicking and queueing up shots is an easy mistake to make.
@rhyvehr
@rhyvehr Жыл бұрын
Idk what the heck autopiloting is but it sounds like absolutely the wrong thing to look at. You can predict where shots are going to go based off of where the gun is in its reset pattern, it's how I've managed to hit the best flickshots in apex Practice what I call "reset timing" and micro flicking. Much more effective

The problem is a game like Valorant makes use of Counterstrafing, meaning: Your shots are innacurate if you are not standing still. However, if you strafe to one side and then immeditaly in the opposite direction there is a tiny window where you can land 1 or 2 accurate shots. Not only that, but now you also need to learn how to bring your crosshair into a position that almost seems like its on a standstill even while moving left to right. That shit is nutty hard

Hey i love your videos ive been trying some of the advice you have to offer in my own games recently but recently ive been trying to take a diffrent aproach to training my aim im starting out slow and accurate so that i could build a good foundation soo nwhen i load up any aim related task like the range in valorant or ai mlabs i would just focus on hitting the target ignoring the speed just trying to keep the speed constant but slow and so this raised 2 two doubts for me 1. should i also go slow in gaim or should i not think about that and just flick because the problem is if you let go my hand will flick much faster than it would when i control it so this caused me to be inaccurate alot of the time but i also figured that constantly thinking about keeping my aim slow and controlled would inhibt me from actually focusing on killing the enemy 2. in order to aim slwoly (especially in longer ranges) i must contract my wrist and push the mouse down the mat to ensure that i have full control of it (im reffering to what i do in practice) this is uncfortable and isnt ideal to use in an actaul match so i cant really replecate it since it would tire my wrist out and it would distract me so i dont know what to do should i continue what im doinjg until i finnaly reach a speed that i can actually replecate in game or should i lower my sense so that im able to actually move my wrist at normal speed while still having the crossair move slower. im really confused about this and i couldnt really find anything on this. i have been trying to improve my aim for a very long time now i have tried everything but it seems like nothing works i just wish that i could actually enjo the games i play because wiffing most of my shots just makes the game unplayable and i just wish that could change ive looked everywhere you can think of in yt, reddit,blogs everything there is about aiming in an effort to change something but nothing ever works ive checked out multiple channels on yt which focus on aim but at this point im just starting to think im just not cut out for it lmao

Holy, your last paragraph hit like a truck. I feel the exact same way, so I can relate. Putting in a lot of time and effort into training, into researching, into finding any answer that'll just give us crisp aim so that we can enjoy our aim in-game, only to whiff all the time and feel horrible about ourselves and thinking maybe we're just not cut out for it. For point 1, the best place to be imo is right on the edge of the comfort zone, tilting more into the discomfort zone. So like, aiming slow enough to be accurate, but quick enough to hit our shots like 70-80% of the time. As we keep doing this, I've feel we might get quicker with it with the same accuracy. For point 2, Mess around with it. See what works and what doesn't work for you. It's your body, mind and setup. Good luck. I wish you plenty of non-whiffage haha. I tend to beat myself up over lots of whiffs, and I'll feel horrible. So I get you. And at the same time, every pro was once absolute dogshit at aiming. We're on the right track, even when we feel stuck.

I think the thing about shooting when you changing directions mentioned in part 6:27 Flicking and Strafing isn't relevant to tac fps games, because you have to slow your momentum to be accurate . Ideally you should shoot when you complete stop. So the advice here would be change direction and at the point where your velocity equals 0 shoot. Change direction and then shoot.

@@darkxkai5754 in almost everygame its the most accurate to stand still. Still thinking on how to make a video on the topic. But usually I try to find a sensitivity that feels 'instinctive'. So a quick target switch is accurate, i'm not consistently overaiming or underaiming. The other feeling I look out for is if i'm fighting my crosshair to get it where I want it to go. For example a low sens may feel really accurate in some KovaaK's scenarios, but in Apex it can be a struggle to look at loot and move around the map. High sens may also feel good in training, but in Apex it just feels uncontrollable and I have to fight to not overaim. Hopefully that helps for now, in the future I would like to figure out a reliable method of finding a comfortable and potent sensitivity quickly. There's no 'perfect' sens for every game, but you will perform better on some than others.

KovaaKs, does very high dpi matter? Or you can just playing with 3200 dpi in any game? And do we need to set our dpi in games as high as possible, like 25600 dpi, 16000, etc. (if game can make this dpi playable)?
@mathijswy
@mathijswy 2 жыл бұрын
As far as I know, the higher the DPI, the smaller the latency. This however only goes up to a max of 1600/3200DPI, after that the sensor will use interpolation and the DPI number is just a complete gimmick at that point. The lower latency for higher DPI has been found to feel nicer for higher sensitivities, while lower DPI (E.g: 400) feels better for lower sensitivity. However, the difference could be so small that most of it might be placebo which is powerful enough on its own. I recommend trying the same eDPI for DPI ranges 400-3200 and picking whatever feels best 😁

Ima listen to this video when he can hit these flicks in apex but no scoped. Until then, my advice to anyone is A) Kovaaks is useless for apex because no movement B) You can make up good drills by trying to improve your ability to flickshot from harder angles, use movement and octane stims to practice tracking, etc. C) Wingman in apex is all about shot timing and moving your mouse in a way to keep it consistent. Try to headshot the mid distance blue targets in firing range with an entire clip, then practice flicking to the targets head while sliding down the hill.
