I have similar rules I've come up with while testing my algorithm. Like if my first confirmation indicator says go, but the second confirmation doesn't catch up within 3 bars, it's a no go even if second conf catches up on day 4. Probably 80% of the time that happens, it would have been a losing trade. The coolest part is if a trend does actually go, confirmation 1 will give another signal and get me in. I saw a bunch of times during back testing that this rule kept me out of a retracement, then got me in at a similar or better price when the trend decided to go. Great video, thanks!

Lol chillin like a "G". The first time I watched this it didnt make heaps of sense until I found a few of them. You are right they are hard to spot, unfortunately on some pairs it saves and on others keeps me out of trades but havent tested it enough to really give an educated opinion... but when it works it doesnt take long to show you it works. good tip, cheers!!

Hello. I am new to the channel and devouring its content. The Bridge Too Far Rule of this algorithm, in my opinion, has two sides. One, the more spoken about one, when the price crosses the BL and triggers an entry signal. Then you have to look back to see when the C1 gave the signal and if it is apart more than 7 candles from the cross you have to dismiss the entry. But there is a non so common variant when the price crosses the BL but there is no C1/C2/volume agreement and you have to wait for the alignment to happens for maximum 7(?) candles. If the first nuance is called the bridge to far, the other one is a "bridge too near"? I am writing the script in pine now and I need to know if I am right or misunderstood everything. Please, VP!!

I don't quite understand what you're asking, but I will say that if it's not very common then don't worry about it, it won't move the needle much. Just default to what you would normally do in that situation.

I finally coded the algorithm in Pine script and I am very pleased with the results. It's premature to be excited but I am anyways. I found an Exit Indicator that works so well that it exits just one candle out of the pick. Awesome! Thank you, very much, for all the knowledge you share with your community. Thanks for taking the time to break this down VP. I am trying to wrap my head around the different baseline rules... So.. it sounds like I can give my indicators ample time to catch up to my baseline cross (one candle rule does not apply here & not more than 1XATR move away from baseline). BUT, I have to apply the 7 candle rule in the reverse case of my baseline catching up to indicators. So seems the baseline is really the anchor of the whole trading algorithm - if it is not in alignment or if it aligns too late, no trade! I hope I am thinking this through properly lol

I tried this and found 4 really good set ups to test ... I used the daily time.. EUR/AUD Long @ 1.6040... USD/CHF Long @ 0.9905 .. NZD/JPY Short @ 72.30 ... NZD/CHF Short @ 0.6595... these were set just after the daily candle closed after 8pm ET (7/25).. I did my research between 6:30 & 8pm ET just before the candle closed... as of 10:45am ET (7/26) all are a success.. most particularly the EUR/AUD.. just wish I would have actually been in at least one of the trades for real... but testing first is important .. Im definitely excited about this strategy... THX !!!

Hi VP, there's 1 part that confuses me is this: If the 1 candle rule applies, won't the "bridge too far" rule invalid since its way past 2 candles at this point? Because at the next candle after main CI agrees, since baseline did not cross it (1 candle rule triggered), why would you wait 7 candles more? You get what i mean?

Remember you can also get valid signal due to a Baseline cross, according to VP. If when that happens, all the other indicators agree.

how about the re-entry on baseline, does it apply? if price travel 7 candles long, then price cross short on baseline then cross long again on baseline, but your c1 not cross back and still in long signal 8 or 9 candles away. you should re-entry or not ?

Some FX education teaches that every pair has it's own DNA or Behaviour, while other FX education mentions a good strategy can rule supreme regardless of the Pair. I'd like to get your take on it. Personally, I think certain pairs need a tweaked strategy, volatility may affect the 7 Candle rule ?
