What Paul was speaking was prophetic direction at that specific time. He also says in the same book "women should cover their heads or else shave their hair off." (1 Corinthians 11:6). This also obviously does not apply to women of all time, but was prophetic direction for these specific women at that time.

Christ is the head of man, and man is the head of woman. Maybe we can allow the women to teach outside the congregation, to children, and maybe other women, but certainly not men. I'm sorry, but if you clapping hands like that, finding excuses, having to blame the time period there, and not reading the whole Word regarding women and teaching, you're simply disobedient. 9, did Paul say, "...as the law also says."? So it wasn't just for that certain period or because women were loud... interesting she just threw that out...

Want to know WHY the woman was deceived first? Because Adam was not fulfilling his duty of protecting her and satan saw that and preyed on her. So the man was not doing his job. Satan knows how influential women are so he attacked the stronger one.

I'm a woman. I know as a woman, we tend to be people pleasers. It makes it difficult to share the whole truth of God. We don’t want to hurt/offend people, it's just in our nature. I believe all of God’s word is true and applicable to us today and therefore would never go to a church with a woman as Pastor.

@@kmountain5533 of course. I was speaking in generalities. I still stand by the fact that the Word of God is perfect and true. 1 Timothy 2:12 - But I suffer not a woman to teach, nor to usurp authority over the man, but to be in silence. @@kmountain5533 This covering not only means a cloth but also can refer to a woman’s hair length. How can we say that? We must take this verse in the context or the setting in which it is presented. "Does not even nature itself teach you that if a man has long hair, it is a dishonor to him? But if a woman has long hair, it is a glory to her; for her hair is given to her for a covering" (1 Corinthians 11:14-15). Therefore, in the context of this passage, a woman who is wearing her hair longer marks herself out distinctively as a woman and not a man. The Apostle Paul is saying here that in the Corinthian culture, when a wife’s hair was longer than her husband’s, it showed her submission to his headship. The roles of the male and female are designed by God to portray a profound spiritual lesson, that is of submission to the will and the order of God.

I suggest my short and free essay on Deborah. Men and women are perfectly equal spiritually. She was a pastor, according to the scriptures. This is how the Judges are described in Chronicles, by God. A woman could only be given the authority by God to execute a man for his sin, if women are spiritually equal to men. A Judge could judge homicide cases according to Deuteronomy. Therefore Deborah, as a Judge, could execute a man for his sin. A Judge was cleared to teach from scripture as he/she gave a verdict, according to Deuteronomy. Since in Judges 4, men went to Deborah to be judged, a woman could teach men, even in the Old Covenant in a public setting.

@@kmountain5533 "men stealing" was prohibited by God. Although God liberated the Hebrews from slavery in Egypt, slavery is not universally prohibited in the Bible. Slavery was permissible in certain situations, so long as slaves were regarded as full members of the community (Gen. 17:12), received the same rest periods and holidays as non-slaves (Exod. 23:12; Deut. 5:14-15, 12:12), and were treated humanely (Exod. 21:7, 26-27). Most importantly, slavery among Hebrews was not intended as a permanent condition, but a voluntary, temporary refuge for people suffering what would otherwise be desperate poverty. “When you buy a male Hebrew slave, he shall serve six years, but in the seventh he shall go out a free person, without debt” (Exod. 21:2). Cruelty on the part of the owner resulted in immediate freedom for the slave (Exod. 21:26-27). This made male Hebrew slavery more like a kind of long-term labor contract among individuals, and less like the kind of permanent exploitation that has characterized slavery in modern times.

It’s okay beloved, just because we can’t be the Pastor of a Church doesn’t mean that we don’t have our own role in God’s Kingdom! Throughout my life I have been able to minister and teach. I have been able to share my testimonies with people around me. My voice doesn’t have to be heard by hundreds of people at a time. If I can plant a seed in others who are outside of the Church that is highly valuable! I’m still on my mission, helping to win souls for Christ! Amen! 🙏🏾

Men and women are perfectly equal spiritually, else we have Complementarianism. Complementarianism divides the church of the New Covenant into 2 tiers by birthright. Jesus never mentioned a 2-tiered priesthood, because that false teaching didn't exist until Paul. But you are a chosen people, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a people for God’s own possession, so that you may proclaim the excellencies of Him who has called you out of darkness into His marvelous light; for you once were not a people, but now you are the people of God; you had not received mercy, but now you have received mercy. -excerpt 1 Peter 2

@@staysolid19 (In case the reader in unaware, the word pastor and the word shepherd are the same word. I prefer shepherd, because it has obvious meaning to the average person.) Major modern English translations like the NASB use the phrasing ...whom I commanded to shepherd My people... In all places where I have walked with all Israel, have I spoken a word with any of the judges of Israel, whom I commanded to shepherd My people, saying, ‘Why have you not built Me a house of cedar?’ -excerpt 1 Chronicles 17 verse 6 NASB translation Some believe that pastor (or shepherd), is a position that was created in the New Covenant. This is not true. In the Old Testament shepherds are mentioned multiple times. Often in a negative way. “My people have become lost sheep; Their shepherds have led them astray. -excerpt Jeremiah 50 For an entire chapter on worthless shepherds, the reader may check out Ezekiel 34. When the shepherd over Israel died, the people went back into sin. That is because the Judge was the most important spiritual leader of this time period. But it came about, when the judge died, that they would turn back and act more corruptly than their fathers, in following other gods to serve them and bow down to them; they did not abandon their practices or their obstinate ways. -excerpt Judges 2

It is stated multiple times in the Bible that women should not be the leader of the church. God created men and women for specific roles. This is not to be seen as a “blow” to women. It is not the biblically assigned role of a woman to be a pastor. You can in fact be a woman pastor if you want but it is in direct conflict with the scripture and is disobedient to the word of God. Women have there own role and it is a beautiful thing, I do not understand why modern feminism makes the biblical role of women out to be something bad, no man that I have ever met has what it takes to fulfill the role of a woman. And I’ve never met a woman who has what it takes to fulfill the role of a man. It is not a curse to women it is just Gods instructions. To say otherwise is clearly and directly DISOBEDIENT to our Lord Jesus Christ.

God has used women since forever. Deborah was one of the judges in Isreal. A strong leader full of courage. The woman at the well after Jesus spoke to her ran and evangelized and told everyone of what Christ knew and did for her. The first to witness Jesus' resurrection were women and they witnessed to the men. Lydia was one of the first believers among the Europeans and became a witness in her region.God has used many women..(Esther, Ruth, Hannah, Mary, Priscilla..etc) God can use men and women. All he needs is a willing heart, fully surrendered and that loves God with all their heart, soul and strength. Lets humble ourselves and let God use whom he pleases and ask for conviction from the Holy Spirit to open our eyes. Lett us not let this divide Christ's body but let us seek for the truth through the word and Holy Spirit.

God can do whatever He pleases. If He calls a woman to lead a church then that’s His prerogative. It baffles me that people think they can judge anyone that doesn’t see things exactly as they do and call them false. Leave the judgement to God. There are no coincidences with God. If a female preacher is preaching the word of God then how can she lead people astray? Women can love God so much that they feel called to preach it. Some women are great speakers and great at articulating. Is a woman supposed to just hold herself back in her love for God? Jesus had women in His circle. He also said they can pray and prophesy. Why would it be an issue for women to have the same freedoms that Jesus spoke would be given to both Jew and Gentile? The Ethiopian woman preached about Jesus’ miracles to a town. I think it’s important to listen to the messages the male and female preachers are preaching and decide for yourself from there if you think they’re interpreting The Bible correctly. Just like any individual would do for a man.

@@soraroxesventerra you can’t blame women wanting the same rights as men for the world’s sin. That’s ridiculous. There are male preachers who teach falsely. You can’t call all women who preach as false. God can do whatever He wants. Women preach to other women in women’s groups. Is that something they’re not allowed to do either? Only men can know how to explain and preach the word? Only men can teach women how they are supposed to act biblically? Do you truly believe that God put women on earth to only to have babies, raise children, and lift up men? Is that truly our only roles? We can be nothing outside of that. God wants nothing else for us? Why did Jesus have women in his disciple group then? All women are supposed to want and think the same way? If those are our only roles in life then why even give us the capacity to think? Why not a set number of answers to questions and things to do so we can just drone on in our daily tasks of making sure our husbands have every single thing they need and raise kids. Women are human beings with wants and needs and dreams. We have our own thoughts. God calls us individually for individual things. I’m not saying that what those few versus say are false. I’m simply saying that God created some women with leadership abilities. How can you say that God can’t or won’t call a woman to preach? Or in your eyes, as long as she’s an assistant pastor then it’s fine because she’s not actually leading the church? I believe in God’s ability to do literally anything He pleases. God is not that simple and neither is life. Do you assume that if a woman preacher helps bring other people to Christ that they are not truly saved? Or is it that you believe that a woman doesn’t have the capability to be a true preacher of God’s word and that’s she blasphemous simply because she’s a female preacher? Make it make sense to me. Are we truly meant to get water from a well, get pregnant, cook, clean, raise children, and serve our husbands? Is that truly what you think? If you lived the life you have now (I’m assuming you’re a man) and then tomorrow you woke up and we’re a woman with all of your prior memories, would you be happy doing those things only because someone tells you that’s who you need to be and how you have to be? Men get freedom in serving God and can do whatever they please and speak whenever they to whom ever they want and women get servitude of others in serving God? As a woman, I have to be whatever my husband needs? Whatever my children need? I can’t be who I am? Mind you, I’m a new Christian. I am a stay at home mother, wife, and conservative. If God didn’t want me to speak His word to anyone who needs to hear it then why did He give me the gift of being able to reach people through speech in any way they specifically need to hear it? Or is it simply that women cannot lead a church? They can prophesy all they want and help bring people to God as long as they’re not seen as leadership in the church? Explain it to me.

He still isn't talking about women not being allowed to teach, prophecy, pray etc. Apostle Paul is adressing this because there needs to be order in the service. Those women were discussing their doubts/questions with their husbands and by doing so they created chaos. That's the context of what apostle Paul says here. The man is the head of the family and he wanted the women to respect this order, even in church. He is talking to the husbands for they were responsible for the behavior of their wifes. This verse has nothing to do with the calling on their lifes and the gifts of the Holy Spirit.

@@shelb-fn2ox Essay on Deborah, the Judge and prophetess. (Revised May 2023) Before Paul we have her story. We don't know what Paul would have said about her. We have to read about her first and then try to understand Paul (if possible). This is what the people at the beginning of Christianity had to do. They knew the story of Deborah already. Deborah is either a meaningless exception or an important precedent, in the debate of whether men and women are spiritually equal. Before beginning, it should be noted that there is no scripture stating clearly or even hinting at, that Deborah was God's second choice. There was no man that rejected the call to be Judge, requiring a woman to take that place. ************************************************************* INTRODUCTION: Before God was rejected by Israel for the rulership of men, that is, kings, there were different 'seasons' so to speak. One of those seasons was the time of the Judges. ...but they have rejected Me from being King over them. Then all the elders of Israel gathered together and came to Samuel at Ramah; and they said to him, “Behold, you have grown old, and your sons do not walk in your ways. Now appoint us a king to judge us like all the nations.” But the matter was displeasing in the sight of Samuel when they said, “Give us a king to judge us.” And Samuel prayed to the Lord. And the Lord said to Samuel, “Listen to the voice of the people regarding all that they say to you, because they have not rejected you, but they have rejected Me from being King over them. Like all the deeds which they have done since the day that I brought them up from Egypt even to this day-in that they have abandoned Me and served other gods-so they are doing to you as well. -excerpt 1 Samuel 8 A Judge at this time, was VERY different from a judge in our time. The Judge was over the nation of Israel. But not as a man, as King, or as a woman, as Queen, because God was not rejected as King as yet. God ruled Israel through the Judges. Wheresoever I have walked with all Israel, spake I a word to any of the judges of Israel, whom I commanded to feed my people, saying, Why have ye not built me an house of cedars? -excerpt 1 Chronicles 17 verse 6 KJV Major modern English translations like the NASB use the phrasing ...whom I commanded to shepherd My people... [PASTOR - Origin: late Middle English: from Anglo-Norman French pastour, from Latin pastor ‘shepherd’.] In all places where I have walked with all Israel, have I spoken a word with any of the judges of Israel, whom I commanded to shepherd My people, saying, ‘Why have you not built Me a house of cedar?’ -excerpt 1 Chronicles 17 verse 6 NASB translation Also: Also I will ordain a place for my people Israel, and will plant them, and they shall dwell in their place, and shall be moved no more; neither shall the children of wickedness waste them any more, as at the beginning, and since the time that I commanded judges to be over my people Israel. -excerpt 1 Chronicles 17 verses 9 and 10 KJV -God speaking to Nathan the prophet Finally: All the Judges were men, except one. Deborah. She was married, but her husband was not a Judge. HER JUDGING AUTHORITY here: Now Deborah, a prophetess, the wife of Lappidoth, was judging Israel at that time. She used to sit under the palm tree of Deborah between Ramah and Bethel in the hill country of Ephraim; and the sons of Israel went up to her for judgment. -excerpt Judges 4 Deborah judged men and had the authority to execute, as some sins in the Old Covenant, such as murder, demanded the death penalty as the punishment. There was no appeal to Deborah's (a Judge's) verdict: ... you shall not turn aside from the word which they declare to you, to the right or the left. If a man rejected Deborah's decision, the penalty was execution: But the person who acts insolently by not listening to the priest who stands there to serve the Lord your God, nor to the judge, that person shall die;... She used the Law, therefore scripture, when judging and instructing: In accordance with the terms of the law about which they instruct you... She had the same authority as a Levitical priest: So you shall come to the Levitical priests or the judge... Also of note, she judged the hardest cases in the nation. “If a case is too difficult for you to decide, between one kind of homicide or another, between one kind of lawsuit or another, and between one kind of assault or another, that are cases of dispute in your courts, then you shall arise and go up to the place which the Lord your God chooses. So you shall come to the Levitical priests or the judge who is in office in those days, and you shall inquire of them and they will declare to you the verdict. Then you shall act in accordance with the terms of the verdict which they declare to you from that place which the Lord chooses; and you shall be careful to act in accordance with everything that they instruct you to do. In accordance with the terms of the law about which they instruct you, and in accordance with the verdict which they tell you, you shall act; you shall not turn aside from the word which they declare to you, to the right or the left. But the person who acts insolently by not listening to the priest who stands there to serve the Lord your God, nor to the judge, that person shall die; so you shall eliminate the evil from Israel. -excerpt Deuteronomy 17 ******************************** THE REASON GOD SENT HER here: ...the Lord was moved to pity... And when the Lord raised up judges for them, the Lord was with the judge and saved them from the hand of their enemies all the days of the judge; for the Lord was moved to pity by their groaning because of those who tormented and oppressed them. -excerpt Judges 2 The sending of a Judge meant God was showing mercy to His people. It wasn't a judgment against them. Since Deborah was a woman, this scripture is sometimes used in error to describe her, in our time: My people! Their oppressors treat them violently, And women rule over them. My people! Those who guide you lead you astray And confuse the direction of your paths. -excerpt Isaiah 3 They are taking the prophetess Deborah and comparing her to Jezebel who murdered prophets. Has it not been reported to my master what I did when Jezebel killed the prophets of the Lord, that I hid a hundred prophets of the Lord... -excerpt 1 Kings 18 When a Judge died, THEN people were led astray. But it came about, when the judge died, that they would turn back and act more corruptly than their fathers, in following other gods to serve them and bow down to them; they did not abandon their practices or their obstinate ways. -excerpt Judges 2 THE AUTHORITY SHE HAD OVER THE COMMANDER OF THE ARMY here: Now she sent word and summoned Barak... She gave the order for the battle to begin that Israel won. Then Deborah said to Barak, “Arise! For this is the day on which the Lord has handed Sisera over to you... Before the battle began she prophesied that a woman would kill Sisera (the enemy commander). This happened, as Jael, a woman not part of the battle, killed Sisera. She said, “I will certainly go with you; however, the fame shall not be yours on the journey that you are about to take, for the Lord will sell Sisera into the hand of a woman.” And: But Jael, Heber’s wife, took a tent peg and a hammer in her hand, and went secretly to him and drove the peg into his temple, and it went through into the ground; for he was sound asleep and exhausted. So he died. And behold, while Barak was pursuing Sisera, Jael came out to meet him and said to him, “Come, and I will show you the man whom you are seeking.” So he entered with her, and behold, Sisera was lying dead with the tent peg in his temple. So what were the results of this battle? And the Lord routed Sisera and all his chariots and all his army with the edge of the sword before Barak; and Sisera got down from his chariot and fled on foot. But Barak pursued the chariots and the army as far as Harosheth-hagoyim, and all the army of Sisera fell by the edge of the sword; not even one was left. Also: So God subdued Jabin the king of Canaan on that day before the sons of Israel. And the hand of the sons of Israel pressed harder and harder upon Jabin the king of Canaan, until they had eliminated Jabin the king of Canaan. -excerpts Judges 4 In Judges 5, most of the chapter is Deborah and Barak singing praises to God. The song lyrics are there. Final sentence of Judges 5: And the land was at rest for forty years. Obviously a great outcome. EXPLANATION OF GOD USING DEBORAH here: Now Deborah, a prophetess, the wife of Lappidoth... Prophets and prophetesses are anointed with the Holy Spirit as we know. The explanation of God using Deborah to judge men and being over the army is here: An anointing of the Holy Spirit is the anointing of a powerful masculine being. That anointing eclipses gender. FINAL THOUGHTS here: A woman anointed with the Holy Spirit can serve in any capacity in our time. Whatever valid title/position there is. To oppose this, is to oppose the Holy Spirit. The same Holy Spirit that was upon Deborah the prophetess and Judge. Deborah, the woman that "saved them from the hand of their enemies" by God's will.

Part 11 PAUL STATES THAT WOMEN SHOULD BE SILENT As in all the churches of the saints, the women are to keep silent in the churches; for they are not permitted to speak, but are to subject themselves, just as the Law also says. If they desire to learn anything, let them ask their own husbands at home; for it is improper for a woman to speak in church. -excerpt 1 Corinthians 14 In this matter Paul speaks of the 'law'. There is a small possibility that he is referring to a Roman or local law. If not, then Paul is stating that Christian women were still under the Old Covenant laws. Yet there was no Old Covenant law that states that women should be silent. Then the daughters of Zelophehad...came forward. They stood before Moses, before Eleazar the priest, before the leaders, and all the congregation at the entrance of the tent of meeting, saying, “Our father died in the wilderness, yet he was not among the group of those who gathered together against the Lord, in the group of Korah; but he died in his own sin, and he had no sons. Why should the name of our father be withdrawn from among his family simply because he had no son? Give us property among our father’s brothers.” So Moses brought their case before the Lord. Then the Lord said to Moses, “The daughters of Zelophehad are right about their statements. You shall certainly give them hereditary property among their father’s brothers... -excerpts Numbers 27 These women were not rebuked, even though they spoke before everyone, including Moses. What they asked for was granted to them, because God agreed with them.

Go back three chapters before the restrictions on women speaking in the church; chapter 11 of 1 Corinthians, the Apostle Paul gives both men and women instructions on how to pray and prophesy in the church assembly (1 Corinthians 11:4-5). How can women remain silent in the church and then prophesy before the assembly?

The term here for "silent" in 1 Corinthians 14:34 is the Greek word sigao (σιγάω). In this text it is a 3rd person plural imperative. This means that it is a command for "those women". My guess is that those disqualifying Kathryn are more concerned with their own understanding then understanding the heart of God. How can you say “she has no idea what she is talking about.” There are many things she probably doesn’t know about, and same with me and same with you. But I can tell you one thing. She knows Gods heart! If you assume your understanding is biblical, and Godly, yet lack humility then Jesus could walk right in front of you and you would miss him. I don’t know about you, but I don’t want to miss Jesus. Have you considered that the first evangelist from Jesus’ ministry was a Samaritan woman? @BCaToPhilip had 4 daughters who were Prophets. Book of Acts. Paul was an apostle, and as such he had authority to make rules in each of his churches to guide those churches in following the Holy Spirit. If you notice throughout his letters to each church, they vary. Sometimes he says one thing to one church, and sometimes something else to another. For example, to the church in Galatia he says there's no difference between men and women, Jew and Gentile, but all are the same in Christ. But in Ephesians where women were used to running things in the temple, he tells them to basically stop running things just because they're women. Even to the Corinthian church there seems to be some discrepancy. In Chapter 11 he says women are prophesying, and then in Chapter 14 he says they're silent. Part of the problem is that 1) we don't know everything surrounding why he was speaking this way, like what the issues with the church were, and 2) the rules for governing individual churches were never meant to govern the church as a whole. And the second point is really important because Paul is not the head of the church. Jesus is. And yet, many people make their foundation based on what Paul taught when they do not have revelation into what he was saying. Even Peter said that people took Paul's teachings and warped them in his day. There are examples of women teaching and leading in the Bible. Pricilla and Aquila were a husband and wife team. Also, Junia in Romans 16 was a female apostle. There were also female prophets. In all things we follow the Holy Spirit. Jesus calls women and men, and even children. He uses the weak to shame the strong and the foolish to shame the wise

Men are called to be men....and most of them these days are not answering their call. This woman has no husband and children. As a woman, this is heresy. I can say we are too emotional, so it’s hard for women to look at extremely difficult texts like what Paul said, and be able to outright just say the truth on it, especially with worldly standards changing. It’s like how women are allowing trans people into their own sports, bathrooms etc… because we have “empathy” for them to be who they are, where men are factually saying “Umm no, this shouldn’t be happening regardless of how you feel” You, lady are a prime example of this lol

Therefore Deborah, as a Judge, could execute a man for his sin. A Judge was cleared to teach from scripture as he/she gave a verdict, according to Deuteronomy. Does that mean he should become a tyrant and dictate every part of your life? No. But let him take the lead. It’s in our masculine nature. A woman should NEVER lead a congregation having authority over a man. I had a hard time with this in the beginning (bc of my flesh) but there is reason and order for a reason. We are to teach women and children. God does give CERTAIN gifts also. This is why we have confused genders. Times have not changed and the letters to the churches are very relevant for today.

To say a woman today can't be an elder in a small church makes no sense, except to Paul and his followers, who have to discount what God did with Deborah, so they can accept a false teaching. How ironic that if Paul lived at her time and his case was sent to Deborah to be judged, he would have to go...and be judged by a woman. Else executed. But the person who acts insolently by not listening to the priest who stands there to serve the Lord your God, nor to the judge, that person shall die; so you shall eliminate the evil from Israel. -excerpt Deuteronomy 17

These women weren't being loud and unruly. It was a Greek custom at that time period, my son illuminated, that they met in an open forum style of gatherings. It was interactive. With that being said, the chapter cited -- 1 Corinthians 14 -- is in reference to decorum and order, and APPLICABLE to both the MEN and the WOMEN: 26I say therefore, my brethren, that whenever you gather, whoever among you has a Psalm, let him speak, or whoever has a teaching, or whoever has a revelation, or whoever has a language, or whoever has a translation, let all things be done for edification. 27And if any speak in languages, let two speak, or as many as three, and let each one speak and let one translate. 28And if there is no translator, let HIM who speaks in a language BE SILENT in the church and let him speak to himself and to God. 34Let your WOMEN be silent in the assemblies, for they are not allowed to speak, but to be IN SUBJECTION, just as The WRITTEN LAW also SAYS. 1 Timothy 2 11Let women learn in silence with all submission, 12For I do not allow a woman to teach, neither to usurp over a man, but she should be quiet; 13For Adam was formed first, and then Eve.

@@marijketimmermans3913 Men and women are perfectly equal spiritually. Else we have Complementarianism. Complementarianism The priesthood of the New Covenant is tiered. There is a hierarchy. A new believer is automatically assigned their level, higher or lower, at the moment of salvation, as a birthright. Their gender determines their tier. A Christian can not move to a higher or lower tier. A church can be made up of only men, because men are in the higher tier. Men are the superior gender, being male, and therefore more like God who is masculine. Therefore men can be leaders, for example, elders. A church can NOT be made up of only women, because women are in the lower tier. Women are the inferior gender, being female, and therefore less like God who is masculine. Therefore women can't be leaders, for example, elders. So even a large group of women can not be a valid church under any circumstances. For this group of women to become a valid church, at least one man must join it as an elder. The addition of just one higher-tier Christian would instantly form a valid church. ____________________________________ But you are a chosen people, a royal priesthood... -excerpt 1 Peter 2 A 2-tiered priesthood doesn't exist, but this is what Complementarianism supports. A woman could only be given the authority by God to execute a man for his sin, if women are spiritually equal to men. I suggest my short and free essay on Deborah. Men and women are perfectly equal spiritually. She was a pastor, according to the scriptures. This is how the Judges are described in Chronicles. Being under grace does not mean you do as you please. God is and will always be a God of order. The freedom that we have under grace is not a licence to live after flesh and do as we please. Adam was made the representative of the earth before there was sin, before the law was given. This is why there was no death pronounced until Adam sinned. The order was always that man would be the head . Adam ruled over Eve after sin but even before sin, he was the head. Eve did not even have a name before sin, she was called Adam. If only Eve stayed by Adam we would not be in this mess and yet we have not learnt.
