Things could be worse than a cap popping out. One time, a ceramic crown came off, I bit it, and broke another tooth which then needed a root canal and crown. All my other crowns were gold, and had never had a problem, so I replaced it with a gold one. But since then, 3 gold crowns came off at one point or another. When you eat normally and chew stuff, dental work takes a beating over the decades. It beats switching back to baby food, though I guess that beats going full circle on diapers.

I can relate to being tired of people's bs. I've had one of the worst years of my life. You can't always play nice with some people. I'm 70 and I have health issues. My time is precious to me. Your time and home is precious too. File the complaint and if they rectify the issue then cancel it. Integrity works both ways.

Your probably a ways away from my side of the cities, but I had my ambulance (now rv) worked on and on a lift at a place called Certified Auto Repair in Spring Park, MN (right next to the Minnetonka Drive-In - Lake Minnetonka). They did great work. 😊

Few years ago I had a crown pop off & it needed to be glued back on. My dentist of 20 years (yes TWENTY years) charged me $185. Last 2 months I've been to the dentist 4 times... have to get an old bridge replaced because of decay in one of the capped teeth. Dentist took off the old bridge, then half the bad tooth fell off. I had to go to an endodontist and get a root canal, now the bridge will be 4 teeth instead of 3. Total expense of all of it: about $8,000. Not kidding.

LOVE the trip Tracey, it makes one feel, as if we're in the care with you! Gosh, I've followed you for some time, not always commenting, but I quite enjoyed your Van trips, your stops at different locations, and the life you lead. Like many, I've had a motorcycle as well, and had many memorable trips here in western Canada with it, but had one close call several decades ago, and gave up riding on the road, and switched to checking out all the useable trails high up into the mountains, using both trail bikes for a few years, then atv's. Hope you mom is doing well, and stay safe, and don't work too hard, as I know some of the hours you put in, have to be tough on you! Be kind to yourself Tracey!
