Adventure Jeep Gladiator: My 40,000 Mile Maintenance

My 2020 Jeep Gladiator Rubicon passed 40,000 miles and it's time to do some maintenance. In this video, I share how I maintain my vehicle, based on my experience with my Jeeps over the years. I do a 5-tire rotation, change the engine oil, transfer case, and differential fluids, replace the air filter, and share some tips along the way.
Please let me know if you recommend I go back and correct something. I enjoy doing basic maintenance on my Jeep. It sees considerable time off-road, and I want the vehicle to stay reliable.

Great video and I appreciate you taking the time to show some of the other components that get neglected and don't get inspected. Never knew about the door hinges but that's getting added to the list. I'll be checking my hubs when I do my fluids and rotate the tires next weekend.

I believe this is the best DIY video I have ever seen! My favorite part is no editing... We all goof up a bit.... I wish I could change my tires every time I rotate my Oil. I just loved that!!! Before pulling that oil filter out, lay some shop towel around the underside, and cover that alternator; also do that gasket/filter stuff over a trash can, not your engine bay.

Excellent video, good tips especially the door hinges. My dad taught me to remove the fill plug first before the drain plug. If for any reason the fill plug is gacked, you sure don’t want to find out after the fluid is drained

21 gladiator, had power steering fluid leak, 7 hr job at dealership, under warranty. Was the hose. Great video!

Just did my 2nd oil change and tire rotation. I expected my tire pressure to be off after rotating. Ends up these Gladiators are pretty balanced at 53% Front and 47% Rear.

FYI make an excel file for maintenance tracking. Beeen doing this for years (in this case I used apple numbers). I’ve tract cost over the life time of 4 vehicles. Tesla model 3 and Prius have the lowest maintenance cost. Jeep is my highest haha

Great video and very informative. The oil smell and visible oil on the valve covers, could be related to a leaking oil cooler. Its made of plastic, 🙄 and sits in the valley between the heads. They are prone to cracking, so an inspection of it may be worthwhile. Also, Baxter makes a screw-on oil filter adapter, (metal,) that replaces the plastic 🙄 cap and gets rid of the filter cartridge. What's great about it is that it keeps oil at the top of the engine to help lubricate the valves during start-up, thus eliminating dry starts, which can prematurely wear out the camshaft lobes and rockers. Its easy to install and may prolong the life of your engine. Again, thanks for making a great video.

Great video! Just one bit of advice though, I know everyone’s got opinions but I just wanta help you out. Mobile 1 unfortunately is not certified for Mopar engines. If you check the certifications on the bottles you’ll notice it’s not certified Chrysler MS-6395. Penzoil is. So I recommend going with directly Mopar or Penzoil

Those tires aren’t actually gonna function as a mud terrain, as we can see, too worn! Normal, tires are consumable.
