Thanks for the vid pal. Good to finally see Kings R&D team have taken on the feedback and upped their game with second gen lithium batteries and associated chargers, regulators, inverters etc far fewer negative reviews these days, I would also like them to stand by their products ~ a 2 year warranty on batteries, this would sway many who are on the fence.

I just bought this set up with the lithium battery I was just wondering if the battery monitor is accurate or do I need a shunt. Thanks for the video

@@cyrusta3530 I am not an expert, it is all I use in the van and is useful to monitor condition. We have survived 3 weeks off grid with thanks to the information from the panel running fridges, lights, mobile's, speakers etc. It gives enough information for me to interpret what I should do in regards to charging.

Thank you for this video I just bought this set up for a bush cabin with the 300amp hour I couldn't get that menu right so back in internet service I found your video I can't return to change the setting for a couple of days will that damage the battery cheers 👊

A couple of days charging should not be too harmful, It is cloudy and raining where I am at the moment. Glad it may help.

Hi there, when using the solar panel to charge your battery via Anderson plug, do you plug it into the control box or dcdc charger?

I plug the raw power (19V) from the panel into the MPPT or (DCDC as you have called it) and then from the MPPT BATT output into the battery. I hope this makes sense.

After thought, there is no DCDC in this video. If you have one of these controllers then I would use it over a DCDC for solar charging as it is more up to the task. DCDC are great from alternator systems. This is only my opinion, there are many options out there.

do i need to wire the regulator directly to the battery or can i plug it into the anderson plug port on the top of the kings battery box?

I have ran it through the top of the box, works fine.

Dont turn battery box switch off while the solar panels are in the sun, it is important to always connect ur battery to the controller before the solar panels & vies versa when disconnecting.
