​@@juri101 Seriously, what is the writer's beef with Finn's right arm ? We have seen lots of different version of him without his right arm ( Farmworld, Pillow world, Shoko ). At this point, we will probably get to see Fionna and Shermy ( Finn's reincarnation) lose their right arm in the future episodes.

This was the most wild season premiere I'd ever seen at the time. Prismo dying, Finn meeting his dad, said dad turning out to be a huge jerk, and when Finn lost his arm, I lost my freaking mind, along with everyone else.

Almost but not quite. Remember that at the beginning of the episode Prismo says that as the Lich can't cause mass death, his primary function, he can't do anything as he was stuck in Prismos Room forever. He most definitely could have killed some of the people at the party but it wouldn't have been enough to sate the Lich's appetite. However he did finally move again because he know knew that if he killed Prismo then he would be taken to the Citadel, a place that only served as a physical prison compared to Prismos Room which exists separately from time and space, and would then be able to conquer the rest of the universe.

It’s easy to think he isn’t, since this show is great at misdirecting the audience like that. But I do believe that was sort of the point as well, the audience is just as invested as Finn is about meeting his father, another human being, only to be disappointed with the man we encounter. But yeah, they’re in for a rude awakening once it fully sinks in that Martin is a genuine asshole who doesn’t give a crap about Finn.

Using these events to talk about my favorite aspect of this show: the fact that whatever happens, it keeps going. Lose and arm, lose a dad, lose Billy, rebirth the lich, and yet they move on. Sorta like how the mushroom water happened, and now life is.....this. the way they just continue despite it all. From something like losing a sword, to changing the world. I love this show, man...

Yeah, I love how zen this show is about the nature of change. Some things change, some things don't. Some changes are tiny. Some changes turn your entire world upside down. Either way, the world keeps spinning. But it doesn't mean that the meaning you assign to those changes (or lack thereof) is nothing. If anything, it makes them mean everything.

So many villains want to conquer the world for some grand purpose like wealth or power. However the Lich is entirely dedicated to one cause, the end of all life. Such a terrifying and single minded goal.

Who is a direct foil of Finn who embodies growth and resilience, two forces acting against each other playing opposite roles i.e. Hero and Villain.

When Finn's dad was introduced in the last season back then, the taughts on my mind were "what is the Citadel? Why is Finn's dad there and did he abandoned Finn because he was there?" I mean they were literally the last 2 humans in the world (3 if you count a certain Strong lady), maybe the Citadel was a place all of humanity was living in, like a space colony. Maybe as the last human his father was abducted by aliens as preservation of an intelligent extinct race? But nope we get the next season, it starts us right off on what the Citadel is and every decent idea i had off the father went down the drain. He was simply just a dead beat father

I should've written this comment under ur previous AT video, but what u said frustrated me so much I couldn't. Still, it needs to be said imo. What u guys (and many others) call "filler episodes" r not actually filler and r not a result of the respective shows being "for kids" or on TV. They serve a very important purpose of exploring the world and characters, as well as advancing or showing their development. A story filled with just events or gamechangers is not really a story. An advancing of characters is. The modern 8-13 ep shows on streaming services r actually hurt by their format and lack of a breathing space most of the time. Adventure Time's first couple of seasons, 1st season of Amphibia and SU r what made those shows so wonderful. In Adventure Time's case they made the show phenomenal. U shouldn't ever just dismiss such eps as "filler".

These episodes were amazing! While s6ep1-2 were incredible in both lore and worldbuilding, I wanna talk abt s6ep4. I think Finn's psychic arm was a representation of his determination and unhealthy desire to take revenge against his dad. These r pretty dark emotions and also clearly a response to trauma. It's also interesting how the level of selfishness and disregard for others Finn had when he was building that tower really reminded me of his dad. Such actions were of course result of trauma and shock, but as we remember Finn's heroism was also a result of a trauma.
