Mordecai will continuously piss me off more and more as the seasons go on. Mordecai and CJ ended after CJ finally had to accept that she would never be able to fully trust him. He said that whole speech and she couldn't even have confidence that it was meant for her. Rigby and Eileen are the only couple that I have ever rooted for the most throughout the entirety of the show, because their relationship felt so natural and when they did get together we all felt it but it didn't have to be confirmed and we saw Rigby really benefit from having that stability. TL;DR: Season 1 Fuck Rigby lets go Mordecai. Season 6 Fuck Mordecai lets go Rigby

The funniest part of the ending is that Rigby has been in a committed relationship for a few months by now. While Mordecai has been absolutely fumbling and making himself look like an ass, Rigby just randomly started a commited relationship in the background with no drama by doing the exact opposite of what his bro is doing, keeping it simple. It's just that easy yet home boy over here escalated to hijacking a wedding.

It’s almost like whiplash seeing two best friends go down completely different characterArcs. One start out as a bad person/friend, but ended up becoming such a great and loyal friend while the other who started out pretty chill really starts to show his true colors when things don’t go his way. I wish I could say Mordecai doesn’t do anything stupid in the future, but this is him after all and there’s a particular moment at the end of season seven that will also really grind everybody’s gears.

I kind of like the wedding speech part, mostly for the fact it shows on a huge scale that Mordecai never matured over the course of the show. For 3 seasons, he just tries to get her attention and freaks out if anything is going wrong. Then it takes a long time to officially date her and kiss her and gets angry with others when they say he should hurry up. Then he has tiny character moments like tossing the sweater away that come after an entire episode of people telling him "no don't do it" and then finally when he dates CJ, he goes back to square one only to make the ultimate fool out of himself and lose everything

I genuinely think the writers didn't like CJ and wrote her the way they did in her final episodes because they were annoyed that the fans seemed to like her better than Margaret. So not so fun fact, Mordecais relationship problems during Season 6 were quite the controversy for the show, as many people hated watching the drama unfold, and it being such a big part of the season. The finale only fired up the crowd more, so you can imagine how grueling it was to wait for Season 7(Top 3 Seasons imo), as well as the expectations it needed to fulfill.
