Appreciate the review. I was using my AirPods Pro recently, but with helmet and balaclava they were not a perfect fit and got pushed into my ears too much. With noise canceling activated, the helmet rubbing up against the buds caused distortion. Almost went with the wired since these are still a bit expensive but I Found a pair of 2.0s for $47 on eBay and my Giro helmet already has the compatibility. Looking forward to it!

this is a bit of a late comment, but I just got a new helmet (smith maze) and I was considering picking these up. would I have to keep the foam inside the earpieces or do I take them out?

Sure you are pairing them properly? I struggled, then realized they cannot be turned on to pair with your phone. With the headset shut off hold the right button.... continue to hold through the power on phase , then shortly after you will see the alternating lites and you can pair.

Could the walkie-talkie feature may be phone and carrier dependent? About 10 years ago I was a technical designer for a provider of cell towers & part of my role was the IMS centralized core. Other engineers were developing what we called "push to talk" for Verizon & AT&T so I would expect that feature (which would be needed for this to work) is now available for both of those carriers but if you are on any other less-complex carriers cell tower... it may not work. I just got mine so have not had any opportunity to try them out yet.
