Adventures in New York: The Empire State Building

On our first morning in New York, we accidentally ended up at the Empire State Building (which I kept calling the Empire Strikes Back Building, because apparently I'm still 12 and a Star Wars geek :-) ).
The ticket scalpers outside tried to tell us we've never be able to buy a ticket on the day, but we just walked straight in and easily got tickets (although apparently it does get much busier later in the day). It wasn't cheap, but was well worth the money - one of the highlights of our trip!
