Wow! SO sorry to hear about your drone. I did the same with my portable phone once. Now after getting as much water out as possible, i got a good cheap suggestion for you. Rice! It's cheap, and if you more or less bury it in rice, it will suck all the moisture out. NOT fast, better to wait than risk frying something powering it up. It worked on my phone, good luck! Cleanup going really well, organization makes everything better.

To help protect your new cutter you should find a van or something you can put it in with some extra batteries wired correctly and a couple solar panels on the top. Protect the cutter, add battery life , and get free charging. Hope you can get a sponsor that will give you solar panels and makes it even that much better of a deal

If anyone hasn't mentioned yet. Remove the batteries from the drone and dry separately. As long as there's no current source or flow through circuits they can be readily saved by drying quickly. Hell I've seen people put old (vintage) mother boards and such in a dishwasher. Just gotta make sure it's absolutely dry before putting the batteries in and recharging.

If you haven't saved up all those little silicon absorbing sacks had a tortillas and things that lead absorption packs out of it would save them like I do. Then go buy a big 20 lb sack of rice and put that drone in it and let it sit for a week. If you buy those raw tortillas they come with moisture absorbing envelopes once you clean them off with some alcohol and break them up a little bit they're ready to go dislike new save them up in the ziplock bag until you get 40 or 50 of them you're good put them in all kinds of things that you can use to keep moisture out of
@CAROLDDISCOVER-2025 Жыл бұрын
Silica the stuff they put in when they ship electronic is equipment is the best thing to pack that drone in. Or maybe 5 lb of better of white rice. Where the water drains away from the major components has how you want to put that in there. When you put in a giant bag when you put it in a pan however you do it. Hopefully your drones okay. We just saved my son's phone by doing what I just described. It is worked a few times before for myself and people are that I know over the years. You probably know all this but it came to my mind I want throw it out there. Now I'll go back and watch your episode

The old WW2 song says "Get some cash for your trash". I'm enjoying seeing the bare ground open up. I noticed a really early Corvair sedan in the trees. That's a cool old piece of the 60's. Question is, how do you "file" your inventory? You have so many vehicles of a wide variety, can you place all of one make or model in a specific area? How do you track your inventory? Great video, Silas.
@theyangview1898 Жыл бұрын
Would it help to remove all or most of the trees on the property? That way you can align the vehicles in perfect rows?

That "fungus" is a coral mushroom. Really good to eat. I've ate a lot of them
@jacksonfreeland2177 Жыл бұрын
Never tried eating a coral myself. Actually I've never seen one in person until I moved to Southwest GA a couple years ago. They fruit in a large bamboo patch at the front of our property. I'd have never found them if it weren't for the water main valve being tucked up into that bamboo. Never seen orange stinkhorns until I moved here either. But those corals are quite beautiful when they're fully mature and not yet begun to dry and darken.

@billwiesepape7614 Жыл бұрын
@AdventuresMadeFromScratch be careful where you leave that drone to dry. I've had a smaller cheap drone that fell in the water develop a short and one of the motors ran until the battery was depleted without me noticing. Batteries can also be a fire hazard if they get water in them but probably less of an issue with an expensive drone. Stay safe Silas, love the channel!

Hi Silas, dont be complaining about your diesel prises to much, here in NZ the price of fuel is going through the roof. Its gone up about 50c a litre in the past month. We are now paying over $2.00 a litre for diesel,and we have to pay road user tax per kilometre on top of that for diesel's, and $3.30 c a litre for our 95 octane petrol (your 91). By the way im pretty sure those two rear doors, now by your hydraulic shears, are Toyota FJ 40 barn doors.
