Another boating weekend taking our 341 Meridian up the Caloosahatchee River to Downtown Fort Myers to see the waterfront for the first time since we passed it before Hurricane Ian. There are still plenty of sunk boats and destroyed marinas. But many icons are still open like the Luminary Hotel with rooftop bar, the waterfront Oxbow Restaurant and plans for a new resort island to be constructed at Lofton Island next to the mooring field. After exploring Fort a Myers, it’s across the river to Marinatown in North Fort Myers to explore their yacht basin and scope out restaurants for some dock and dine.
This is part 1 of our 2 part series for Marinatown. Our next episode will detail us exploring Marinatowns bays, lagoons and hidden anchorages with derelict boats. Don’t forget to like and subscribe so you won’t miss it!
