The drinking and eating out of real dishes instead of take-away disposables and charging a deposit is so awesome! I wish we did that in the states at our festivals! Nat and her giant pretzel lol 😆 I love it. These markets look like so much fun to visit! 🎉

Ah! This was fantastic and made me miss Germany so much! I was in Darmstadt (just outside of Frankfurt) for 2.5 years. Christmas time is magical in Germany. Thanks for showing us these two. I had never been to either! ❤

Went to Germany for 2 weeks for Christmas Markets. Started in Munich, las week in Karlsruhe. Went to Nuremberg, and several other cities! My husband is from Heidelberg, so we had to go to several places! Very cold! Had to keep getting Gluevine! Yum!

The Schmidt-Lebkuchen cookie company is located in Nuremburg and that’s where the lebkeuken has been made for over 90 years. I have several beautiful tins that contained the cookies from when we were stationed in Germany. I also have my beautiful Angel Topper that I bought in that market over 30 years ago.

Here in Germany it doesn't mean anything negative if someone "stares" at you! In fact, it's exactly the opposite... Here, looking someone in the eye is a sign of respect and/or interest. There is the sentence: "The eyes are the window to the soul"... So when you look into someone's eyes instead of looking at the ground, you have a "clear conscience"... Long story short... When we Germans "stare" at you, it's absolutely nothing negative👍 Best Wishes from Hamburg/Germany

Hi! Thanks for watching! It depends on what you're looking for. Munich offeres a wider variety of markets but Nuremberg's markets were much more quaint and cozy. If you have the time, it's worth doing both since Nuremberg is just a short train ride from Munich! Hope that helps! Thanks for watching!
