I suggest that you invest in a small Braun coffee bean grinder to pulverize your dried herbs, garlic and inions. Our one does it very efficiently in a quarter of time it takes with our blender. Why the difference? The shape and the orientation of the blades - a coffee bean grinder having by and large horizontal blades versus angled in a blender.

I certainly think you will have a few friends in the neighborhood and probably doing food swaps with them or exporting excess herbs and less bulky stuff when you sail to the tropics each year. I hope for the day when oil and gas has been replaced with electricity from renewables. Long time ago when I used to be a videographer journalist in New York City we interviewed a Dr in psychology and language regarding the delay in kids that were learning various languages at the same time. It was awesome, she said many times the kids start speaking in sentences instead of just words once they put it all together ! My older nephew's kid went thru that. They were saying he was delayed in learning and I said, relax sit back and enjoy !!! True story, the kid started with full sentences both in Spanish and English... Awesome... !!!
