As a Jeep owner, I love that you are traveling around in a Jeep. There are many KZbin videos on learning the basics of off roading. I especially appreciate including Native American history and indigenous peoples stewardship of the land. More people should educate themselves in these areas. I recently purchased a Garmin In Reach GPS satellite communicator. You can find them at REI or Amazon for around $450. At 70 years old, I won't travel or hike without one. Love the guitar, too. Have fun and continued safe travels.

Your song totally sounds like a variation of Tiger Mountain Peasant Song by Fleet Foxes. It was one of the first songs I learned and one of my favorites to play. Your singing voice is beautiful, and such a treat to hear. I hope you keep finding time for music! If you haven't seen them, there is a brand called Outdoor Ukulele centered in Bend Oregon, and they make ukes AND guitars that are made out of polycarbonate. The sound is not compromised, though. You wouldn't know it was made out of plastic just from hearing it. They are impact, and climate resistant, and can be fully submerged in water, so you don't even really need to put them in a case. My boyfriend and I play our tenor ukuleles from them every day, they're definitely travel sized!

Really great thoughts on the Native rights. I'm in Canada, specifically in British Columbia, where we've done an historically terrible job of working with our First Nations, but about 20 years ago we started to at least try. For example, every time anyone from any level of government gets up to a podium, they first acknowledge that they are standing on the traditional territory of whatever Tribe it is. We also embarked on a massive Treaty plan, working on ways to give land management rights to the First Nation Tribe of each area of the Province. We still have a long way to go, but at least our awareness is slowly coming up. Thank you for another great video!

@@AdventureTimeLoui I watch a lot of young women KZbinrs. I'm not really sure why, as I'm old enough to be your Mothers, lol, but maybe its because you all give me hope for the future. From what I see of you all, your country is on the verge of a sea change of empathy and understanding. I think we Gen Xers need to just get out of your way, as we have unfortunately left you a huge mess to clear up; environmentally, socially, politically and just about every other way. But I think collectively your generation is more aware and understanding of your responsibilities to the world around you than we ever were at your age. Maybe the one thing we have done right, was to raise your generation to be the one who gives us all hope. (Sorry. My 32 year old son says I channel my inner Morgan Freeman sometimes 😂). All that is to say, I very much enjoy your videos and the way you wonder about those who came before you. Travel safe💗🚙🇨🇦

You can drive right up to the "view points". There is a visitor center we stopped at with picnic tables, a hotel, souvenir shop and I think a ranger station. We cooked breakfast that day, it was sunny and warm, not too many people around, just a small group of children on a ranger led adventure. Definitely a must visit park.

It's sad that the land was taken from the native people. It would be so enriching if the native people were there to tell the history & guide others. There's so much that God created in the world still to be seen & it's a joy to see you & William explore and feed your soul. I think someday you may meet a significant other & travel together. For the vast majority of the casses, we didn't kick natives off the land. Diseases spread much faster than settlers, as the pandemic exemplified. Most settlers never laid eyes on a native American. However, we pretend that the buffalo & moose in the park existed without the natives in the national parks. Which is also very false. When crater lake/Mt Mazama erupted which was an incredible super volcano, natives witnessed it. Many died of course. But they were there with sabortooth tigers, giant sloths, 🐫 (yes camel's originated in North American ) and wooley 🦣. They are absent in the nature of the park painting a false narrative.
