Adventuring to an OMINOUS Location in My NEW Scrap Truck! (Crashlander Survival 3)

I'm back in Crashlander to continue my survival adventure and I am excited to keep exploring, building, figuring out new mechanics, discovering new parts, and progressing throughout the storyline! alternator doesnt need to be physically connected to bearing, just connected via connect tool. This does mean if you want to power the bearing with the car motor or the controller, you need to make a second bearing and attach them together with a block. You will need the weld tool for this most likely.

hey kosmo! every time you visit the hq building you should check outside in the big yellow banana conex box outside, in the back corner of the conex box it spawns a yellow loot crate and in my experience on my world it spawns a yellow loot crate almost every time i return to hq!

Paint actually isn't consumed, so you just need one in your inventory to use the paint tool. You have to connect the alternator to a bearing with the connect tool, then spin whatever you put on said bearing, in other words you need another bearing. Also a little tip: don't use a wheel to power it, as there is a resistant force like in real life, and I doubt you want uneven power to the wheels when driving is janky enough as it is. I'm jealous... You and kAN both got way nicer worlds than I did; mine is mostly steep hills and cliff faces with two massive burnt forests between Bill and the HQ that cause an annoyingly long detour...

We cant do anything about the paint stuff btw, as the paint tool is hardcoded in the game exe.

Pro tip: if and when you use a controller on an alternator, make sure the system is WELDED TO THE GROUND. Otherwise, scrap mechanic shenanigans occur when you try and turn it off (because alternator is loud).

It'll work on a vehicle, but a max controller with max bearings tends to become an unidentified flying Cthulhu monster every time you land a small jump, even with suspension.

You need 2 bearings for the alternator :) one that you somehow spin and one thats connected to the alternator with the Tool.

To successfully generate batterys you need to connect a bearing to the generator not necessary attaching it to generator

Hey Kosmonaut 1 tip for you. You can skip the reload tíme with the pickaxe by tímu g zhae pickaxe hits by waiting till the first hit leaves the screen and clicking again. You dont have to deal with the timer then.

Alternator instructions are not very clear. What they mean to say is "connect a bearing via Connect Tool", same as you would with a motor. Limit is one bearing and it can be anywhere on the vehicle/structure, does not have to be mounted directly to the alternator. As for the HQ, it's just like the original warehouse where most things can not be destroyed/picked up with aside from some food items, water, and component kits. Also i got the same impression as you as far as the vehicle. Feels like you were meant to either walk or drive a lowest-tier scrap car there, then upgrade it using things you pick up at the HQ. Or just /fly. Flying is fun... if you're one of _those_ people. :D

I think you need to wire the alt to an bearing, then rotate that bearing with a different bearing? unless you figure this out later in the video. i'm about 1/3rd the way in.

So, when does he figure out you can use the watering can to craft water bottles? 😂 Also, alternator. Connect a bearing to it, same as you do with engines. Then, you have to spin that bearing with another source, like a 'gear' or setup that spins it separately to the creation. That's how I'm currently making it work, but I'm still testing other methods that might work. Will update when I learn more.

Glass is craftable, i just dont remember which bench it is. You need sand which you get by crafting from scrap stone. Same bench as glass i believe.

you can get infinite coal by using chemicals and wood with 5 coal to make 6 ember then if you do that 2 times you can get 12 ember and you can make 20 coal with 8 ember at the smelter

Are there still saw blades and drills in the modded game? You could add some to the front of the vehicle to run over wolfs and bears Also, no lockers or chests in the hq building contain anything as far as I've seen

I think Kosmo has been real lucky not to have his vehicle destroyed. I highly recommend drills or saw blades on the vehicle.

The drill and saw blade are unlockable, if not immediately available; there's a large drill that you find the recipe for; and lastly, eventually you find some storages that do have items in the HQ.

You don't need a bearing directly on the generator, you use the wiring tool and connect it to a bearing that rotates.
