Making a SURPRISING Discovery at The HQ Building... (Crashlander Survival 4)

I'm back in Crashlander to continue my survival adventure and today I do a bit of experimenting with electric power generation, upgrade my truck with a fancy trailer for special cargo deliveries, and make a wild discovery at the HQ building! Before you start your base building, you should go back to the HQ, talk to Mark, and it'll start the quest for opening the Boss' Room, there's a load of resources there that you can use

The 3 at HQ will also have side quests for you. You can only have one side quest at a time, so kill the wolves for Bill before going back. Several sidequests are fun, but be sure to fetch the microwave from the basement. (You might hold off a while before taking the microwave quest because there is a lot of other things that have to happen before you can complete that quest.)

Helo, i made the story in crashlander and yes i wanted to make it voice acted but sadly scrap mechanic doesn't allow custom sounds at all. Thats the reason bears and wolves dont have proper sounds

Hey Kosmo, check out the wood bench... you can build a waterwheel and it works! *(north or south facing) it will spin, BUT... don't expect a bunch of batteries from it, it takes like 3 days in game for one to generate. You have to have a level 5 controller, and look up some ways to build a good battery generator :)

I find it funny that you made a propeller to go with the alternator, because that's exactly what I did, lol! The controller will work for the alternator, but you run a decent risk of causing a physics Cthulhu UFO if you put it on a vehicle once it's actually fast enough. I had a major wheelie problem with my trailer, so I ended up making it a fifth wheel setup in front of the rear axle, otherwise my front steering wasn't working... kAN and Moonbo can trade too, but most of them also require copper...

Hey man. You should craft "smeltery", it craft more metal block that "metal working", also it can craft "glass block" too. Hope you have "smelt" and wind shield on you car :)

The orange valve in the piping rooms can be ignored until you have a side quest that tells you to mess with them. The switches in the cube area can be ignored until you have a quest that tells you to mess with them. For both orange valves and cube switches, there is no on or off - you just have to activate them during the quest.

When I watched kAN's video earlier this week, he came to the same conclusion. But I first heard the voice you were going to use for Mark without knowing is name, I started laughing and said "perfect 👌" 😂😂😂 Also, you could of gotten in the vents from piping room 1 if you didn't want to parkour your way up.

if you want fast free batteries use 2 springglitches rotating opposite eachother with a bearing between. set springglitch to 30´ works great. i have them powering a quad setup of heavy duty gens. can also upgrade a controller so you can power several bearings on the axle to ramp up the speed for the generator.

I did some sleuthing on steam forums after Khans "Have I met myself" crash lander stream and yes, according to one of the devs, they couldn't find your name. A contributor of the thread then proceeded to track down your name & informed the thread. So we believe the dev now knows so don't know if Ivans name will be patched in the future. :)

I had my alternator with the waterwheel not working The fix was to put the bearing on the waterwheel, and welding it on the "fixed world". That made it work. Bearings have a fixed side and the alternator knows

In 10:30 try checking that again because I think they respawn because Kan got that crate one time few episodes ago from his channel and that appeared again😅 edit:well the red switches only useable when you unlocked the Boss's room and read a paper on the desk stating this:remember to make sure all red switches in the office room are off which are only 6 of them,if you turn them on before reading that paper,the switches will be resetted to off because that's how it is and the Boss's keycard is in the V.I.P lounge tho forgot how to get that keycard for the V.I.P tho

The Crashlander mod is a little weird. It's more akin to the modders forced survival mechanics into creative mode than it being a side survival mode. By that I mean the 1 paint being needed for all painting and the lift having blueprints on it are both creative mode things. My best advice for you is to actually build a piston engine for the alternator. I'll let you know this to save you some small amount of time experimenting and on resources, but water wheels don't generate enough torque fast enough to generate power from an alternator to gain any amount of batteries in a timely manner. Like stacking them on top of each other doesn't give them any extra boost or anything. I've sat an played a session for about 5 hours and my alternator went from 15% to 33% during that entire time. I've made probably one of the worst piston engines ever (as I don't build them) and I've been able to get a stack of batteries in about 20 minutes. So save yourself some pain and use a piston engine if you're going to do an alternator for power. Another piece of advice I can give you, with no spoilers attached, is build a cooking bench. It might seem pointless or silly, but it helps a bit. Just act like I tricked you, build it, and just see what happens. Also, craft yourself the wolf armor. Aside from it Z fighting with your other clothes and making the game a bit weird, it'll give you 2 benefits. First benefit is that if you have the head, chest, pants, and boots of armor on the wolves will ignore you unless you do something to them (as in they won't attack you. They'll track you if you get close, but they won't attack.) The second benefit is that it gives you armor, as in it will give you a % damage reduction. The wolf armor isn't the best armor, but it's at least something. These are just tips I want to give you to help you along. I haven't spoiled anything like that or criticized your current game play at all. I'm just giving you bits of advice based on what I see that could improve your experience. A Piston Engine will generate you power fast, Cooking table is good, Wolf Armor will help. If you want something a bit faster for power generation that's a bit unorthodox, use a kind of "punching bag" setup. Create 4 out stretched arms on a bearing with concrete on the end (for momentum) and then hook the alternator to that bearing and then you keep hitting the arms to spin the bearing. It seems super jank, but you'll generate power faster than a scrap motor or a lv1 controller. Also, knowing what I know and the "rumors" of the "meta" of this, it makes your voice acting that much more hilarious. And I suppose I'll keep burying these meta bits even further and further. But I only just realized looking at you converse with those guys. You're wearing the same thing!!!!!! I mean Mark isn't persay and I don't think Justin is either. Bill for sure isn't, but you totally are wearing the same thing as Ivan.

the paint and lift is, like the deleting of stuff that falls through the ground, a kind of oversight by the devs when they made the CG mode. So Modders should/have to account for that… or leave it in because it is convenient for builders. Also its not really like creative, as you still need all the stuff/mats to build in your inventory. btw, there is a mod especially for CG Mode to rectify stuff getting deleted when falling through the ground. Its called "Out of Bounds Creation Teleport" and it does exactly only that, teleport anything back up that is falling below a certain threshold. Very helpful in any mod that is as grindy as Crashlander

Hey, I am one of the crashlander devs. The lift and the paint are hard coded we can't fix it in crashlander, however we have fixed the creations falling underground, they tp back up, however I think if they are too small they get deleted, it might be for things as small as 2x2

hey im watching your first live stream if you didnt find out you can change stack size if you edit the files in you workshop mod folder for crashlanders i did it for myn so everything stacks to 2000 but i cant find resouce stack size like wood and metal you only need notepad to edit them

Stuff gets deleted if t falls through the ground in CG because Devs didn't add that from vanilla… Which means that the modder(s) have to account for it. or you have to add a blocks&parts mod that adds that back in. Something like the "Out of Bounds Creation Teleport"
