I love offering tips and advice on shows and the EDM community to help my fellow ravers out. 3:51 Preach! I’m mostly a metal head, so I’ve been to quite a number of rock and metal concerts. However I’ve been to country concerts and pop concerts as well, so coming from my experience from branching out of my normal music taste every now and then, this is straight up facts! Also I’m attending my very first rave next week, so thank you for the advice!

Just went to my first rave last weekend at 22 years old and landing up becoming addicted 🙃 tonight is my 2nd rave and I couldn't be more excited 🙃. I am a metal head and love the whole heavy metal scene but definitely excited to enter the rave scene more

VERY well said Emma!... I am def. going to check out that "EDM Train" app that you mention! Raves are relatively few and far between here where I live in New Mexico, so knowing where any and all (or at least most) of them are in my area would be really great, because there's not really any great venues here in the Albuquerque area to have raves at... Most of them are just relatively small nightclubs or whatever that all close by about 130am, so that kind of sucks now, especially since the local cops have seriously put a crackdown on ANY outdoor events ANYWHERE in or around this area, (mainly because they are ignorant and uninformed!), but "it is what it is" now!... Which reminds me of your other comment about past experiences and how the scene has changed over the years... I still remember, (and I very dearly miss!), the days from about 10 years ago and earlier, of regular outdoor raves at various places, abandoned warehouses, outdoor wilderness areas, baseball fields on the outskirts of town, etc., where there were quite a few really awesome raves from about 2000-2010 in my area, before the stupid police started cracking down on those "uncontrolled" venues and parties. :( I actually used to personally know a couple of my local rave promoters during that time who I would help out at their events either before and/or after the show for a couple of hours in exchange for me getting into all of those events for free, which was really the only way I could afford to go to so many shows over the years! And I would totally still do that type of exchange with the people in charge of stuff like that now, but all of the guys I knew back then are either retired or have moved out of state for bigger shows and events, and all of the current or new local club owners and such in my area seem to be nothing but "all about the money" and the maximum overall profits from a show, so I haven't been able to convince anyone recently to allow me to do that same sort of exchange as I used to do a few years ago. :( ... Not to mention now it seems like, (at least here in NM), that there's just no such thing as really big outdoor events anymore either, due to the new police ban, and so every show that may come to town is forced into one of the relatively tiny downtown clubs, which also close at 130am, so no more "dancing 'til the sun comes up" either! :( I'm really kind of disappointed with my local scene in recent years because of all that, and I really want to be able to expand my horizons out to other surrounding states like Texas, Colo, Utah, Arizona, and def. Vegas for EDC!... I have to save up my money for a really long time to go to any of those events though, because I work *very* "paycheck to paycheck" each month, with usually just barely enough to pay my basic bills and rent... I really wish I knew of a (legal) way to get into EDC for free in exchange for some of my time or services with something venue related! I would also have to prob. carpool with someone over there and share a hotel room with them as roommates for a weekend, because I def. can't afford to fly over there and then rent a car, and driving to Vegas from Albq. by myself would cost me way too much in gas, especially if I had to buy a ticket to the event too! (IF I even could)... Anyway, EDC Vegas is a "bucketlist dream" of mine, but we'll see if I can actually work out HOW I'm gonna get to go and see it... hopefully by Summer 2021! Wish me good luck! OK, I got off on another tangent here, but like you Emma, I could literally talk for hours on end about "all things rave", so hopefully you can understand where I come from in my passion for it, and tolerate my "Novel" or "Book" style comments! I'm not going to "apologize" for them though, because I am a true conversationalist with a great mind, deep thoughts, and a deep passion for EDM and rave culture, so maybe *someone* out there can also appreciate what all I have to say about it all!... Get out of the house more often. Talk to people even if its hard. Work out. Help your parents more and or get into any kind of work. Get a skill or a hobby. Do more things desribed as "need/have to" that require pushing, overcoming. Less described as "i want". Talking to dad or both parents if possible is also a good option. Read classic literature.

Tori Maddis yes it’s pretty easy! Overall I’d say people are very outgoing and open to meeting new friends. Don’t hesitate to go up to groups and ask to dance with them or introduce yourself 👌🏼
