We hear that they have for long obstructed the development of Hindu holy places and institutions, that they have collaborated with Maoists and North Eastern separatists , and so on. It means the government doesn't care to act nor the people to react on account of pseudo secularism . These nefarious designs are behind the Intolerance chants, and behind the derogation of nationalism. We ordinary people have to be more active , vocal and vigilant about these .

It could be assumed that ,In the light of the recent Cylon tragic incident of terrorists attack in Churches killing 250+ they are concerned about their security, resulting in missionaries alleged to have been involved in election process. Aggressively they worked for over 15-20 years, as never before. They are unable to concede the similarity in many Hindu rituals and other process.

If you are willingly mistaken, it's your fault. If you are suggesting that Mr Francois is the reason behind it, then your point is moot dude. Your tamil nadu people doesn't support modi and stubborn as hell when it comes to money. There are hindu's in ur state who are ready to convert for a mere meal of the day. Try to educate those, reduce corruption under state government, provide basic education (by the way these are "the steps taken by NDA throughout India, state governments aren't helping much"), finally support Modi's party in TN instead of voting communal parties who gain upper hand in forming govt. with the help of central. Then come here and complain about Conversion Mr. No balls pavan Kumar

Bhai left and Congress will definitely play this tactic and its no surprise. BJP should not worry about it and go ahead with its plans.Every good reform like GST was also opposed but Govt took bold steps.Indians are too much worried about the comments of others in all matters and this is known to opposition. We citizens should also be pro-active and engage with Ministers.to add cultural values of Hindus in our education system. We engage with minister on twitter when there is no water in our trains but we have failed to engage on crucial matters.

Googlie... your assesment is considered to be wrong. When Modiji came to Delhi ( a common citizen- anti-corruption crusader) he met with a complete resistance from lutyens, and a few opposition parties. A hostile - executive- as also many in institutions. It is first time they were gradually made accountable. Institutions were allowed to function as per rule book. Unlike in the past, there was harmonius- and result oriented interaction between executives and legislative process. Modiji is a great Nationalist and have innovative plans and ideas, for reforms and for accelarating developments.

This might be a personal problem with Modi. He is the personification of centralization. Everything must pass through his hands, if not for money, for the sake of power. He seems to be vary of competent people who are not beholden to him. People who have navigated through the bureaucratic morass and could advise him very well on the same, like Arun Shourie and Subramania Swamy were not given posts. Nitin Gadkari is acknowledged by most as doing his work exceedingly well. He doesn't seem to be in Modi's favourites list as well. Decentralization is something Modi needs to learn and cultivate well.

What do you expect from a civilisation that is oblivious to what lies under their feet ? The capital needs to be changed to a more serene place with good memories, aura and civilisational character. What persuasion could not achieve, pollution might. A couple more of smog-filled winters and many in the BJP may decide that they are better off moving away from Delhi. Of course, be wary that this will trigger the Tughlaq comparisons again. This is literally what MB Tughlaq did. But the upsides could be many. Lots of land to sell (at a lowered value compared to today, but still it will add up to a nice sum) could finance the building of the new capital. Only the necessary departments need be shifted. The entire governmental structure could be re-imagined.

To be honest we don't need too much self glorification in our history books. Our ancestors did mess up badly and we do need to remember that. Our Kshatriya class's was often too accomadating, lenient etc, didn't support each other against foreign invaders and so on. Our brahminical or priestly classes and samaj gurus also messed up. They too were too accomadating and didn't do purvapaksha to find out about and understand the other when they first started coming. Hindus and people of its sister religions, Buddhists and Jains paid the price for that!! If we forget those mistakes, we would be doing a disservice to ourselves...

We are still the only civilization to survive in continuity while whole world is converted and is made to forget their roots to their ancient cultures. China is there as well. However we been the mother and should be the spiritual leader as world needs it more than ever. Materialism will make our lives easier but there will never be life as it’s replacing the spirit in what we do to machines. It’s the difference we see between hand woven material and machine made. A most illuminating discussion. Mr. Gautier is forceful yet fair, even though his understanding of the mess that is India and Indian politics is a bit lacking. His first hand experiences provide very useful insight into the realities on the ground w.r.t the places and the people he talked about. Regarding our Marxism-infested education system, perhaps the way forward is to embrace 'saffronisation'. The liberals aren't going to change their tune or see reason ever, so we should stop defending these much needed changes to our educational system and embrace the label of 'saffronisation', if that's what it takes to end the indoctrination of generations of our youth with Marxist lies. And no one should forget: if there's one thing common with the liberal madness in any part of the world, its that the center of their infestation in any nation is in its educational system. This is true in the US, Canada, Europe... in short, everywhere. Changing our educational system is going to be an ugly affair, but it needs to be done; because as bad as things are right now, they're only going to get worse in the future if left unchanged. On this point, I agree with Mr Gautier that the PM and the NDA need to be brave and get to it posthaste.

Good discussion and suggestions. One more urgent issue for the second term would be employment generation, considering the huge young population. It will take at least 5 to 10 more years to bring India to the path of all-round progress. The first 5 years were devoted to urgent issues like strengthening the military defence capability, building international relationships, fight against terrorism, curbing black money, start probes and legal proceedings against previous scams, GST reform, infrastructural improvement, gas, electricity, toilets and so on. Also, it is very important to come back to power if one has to bring about reforms that will take a much longer time than 5 years. Hence reforms in the judiciary system, education system, common civil code, Article 35A must have been scheduled for the second term. I am looking forward to a World Superpower India wherein people of all Religions will mutually co-exist and prosper together.

The major achievement of Modi and his government is we all, people started thinking differently, able to express and put our expectations. Earlier what were our subjects? You can expect means you have confidence that this person can do it..that faith, that expectation level is brought in by him . It is, as they are discussing a very complex in nature to bring anything which is different. He will surely need more time, terms. At least we are seeing some movement. Lot of work with all high priorities, and with a fear of not having enough time or in a power next term, too limits his though efficient working. Trust him, give him ample time (as we have given to other governments without even looking at them or asking anything) and he will discipline the Indian system to lead the world.

Francois read Modi absolutely, Modi has tried to become Mahatma and sidelined important areas reforming Education. HRD Minister proudly said, we have not even tried to touch Education 😄 Until slapped by MP results Modi felt only Development would do miracles, he didn't learn from ABV episode.

@@bharathvyas997 CONgress can jumpstart working as Babus know their wants. Babus hated Modi for punctuality and the stories of whining babus were aplenty, even now some Babus may opt to retire in his 2nd term. Good part about Francois is his understanding of Bharat and his concern is not out of any ambition. Why I said he read Modi correctly bcoz He predicted right ModiGov approach after Delhi assembly Poll debacle ;)

Reforms 1) Indian constitution 2) Indian Education 3) Indian Beaurocracy 4) Indian Judiciary are good suggestions. The grand narrative and Bharat civilisational CEOs or the new generation of “Intelectual warriors” is the need of the hour. In India. Mediocers should be replaced by intellectual warriors.

First satisfy the electorate. The 75 points in their Sankalp Patra needs to be started by day one. Last mile delivery should be ensured. At village level there should be immediate solution. NGO's to be controlled. Macro items like being discussed here need to be implemented- political, social,. Corruption to be 100% wiped out. Bring pending cases against chidambaram, rahul etc closed early- vadra too. There is so much to be done. Work now on 2024 elections.

I agree that education needs to be reformed but in India if you take such big changes in such short time media, opposition will hound you General public will also feel alienated So in India things take time India is not like Russia or America which is very homogeneous.

Start slowly is the key.Not starting for the fear of opposition is foolishness. One time power lasts upto 5years. If one reform is targetted for a month they can at the end can persue 45 to 50 smaller reforms.Useless theories like Aryan Invasion theories should be removed which are dividing Indians on mental level.Start Sanskrit, add Hindu and Indian touch to Engineering and Medical education etc..
