In this camper van full build video, I show you every step I took to convert my Fiat Ducato into a luxury camper van.

I wanted a camper van with a modern luxury feel, and I think I've achieved just that! After coming from a micro camper, a fixed bed was a must for me. And something else that was essential, was to have everything run from battery (rather than using gas), and to be able to remain off-grid with my set up.

Best build video I have seen. No BS and spending 10 mins on a sink and tap like many - Yes different audiences perhaps but for me this is the one I enjoyed the most. My opinion only. Fast paced but still retained vital info. Well done on this.

@@MR_THINQWhen you do the work yourself it's not stupid money. All the furniture is handbuilt (except for the swivel bases for the seats), he re-sed as much as he could of the original timber paneling, he did the coverings himself. Yes, he put in quality electrics like Victron but you don't skimp on the important stuff. He added much more value to that van than he spent on it.

Adz the attention to detail on your van is second to none even in places that will never see the light of day. You should give yourself a huge pat on the back as you have done an amazing job. I like the whole electical system the best as the planning and build quality must have taken hours, also i like how you have loads of wire ready should you need to add more kit in the future.

What a van! Thermal curtain is a nice touch and the electrics are 'Art in action'! I'm no expert on this but if I were going to the Arctic I might have added underfloor heating 🙂Well done.

My build - I ran all my wiring Plus extra thru some mini pvc piping Because i done pro install spray foam This way i can fish in and out wires without digging out foam

Looking great. You will get a cold draft from the bottom of the sliding door get something to put up against it to reduce the cold that comes in. Have fun in the artic circle

This was a great, no BS van build video. Good job man! Some great ideas for my future build for sure. I liked the floating floor/wall panels idea. Too many DIY builds just screw self-tappers into their van willy-nilly. I know the vapour barrier argument is very divisive but I can't help but think that 100 holes in youyr vapour barrier isn't very effective.

Van looks amazing. You should be really proud of it and yourself. I'm not sure the Arctic circle is going to be kind in the water dump, and I'd personally want a lot more insulation in it to keep me toasty.

Beautiful job. You should be proud mate. On a separate note, I’m doing some updates on my T5 at the moment and was talking to my local mechanic about larger wheels (love Rogue Alloys, nice lads too) and he warned me that all the off road Tyres that people using, are knackering gearboxes. Now obviously you need them for the arctic circle bit when you get back maybe change them to something more road focused ? Have you watched True Blue Travellers ? They’re ready where you’re headed, in their van. Full of really useful tips for dealing with freezing temperatures. Best of luck for the trip, 👍🏻

Buy some vaseline!!!!! Any seals, (windows, charging points etc) that are opened often rub the vaseline around and it will stop them freezing, well, may need a hairdryer at certain times, but, it helps! Good luck and have THE best time EVER! True Blue travellers on youtube are in the Arctic circle right now, so, maybe worth a gander at their channel and pick up some places to go you may not have thought about?
